  1. I'm sure you would gobble it up as fast as they could throw it too /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  2. Good thing, because a Tiger was leading reciever for the Highlanders as well....
  3. I think Pittser is one of the most physical smashmouth running backs that I have seen in a long time and it was alot of fun to watch him run Friday night with his agressive style. Nothing against Taylor Ogle, but I didnt see anything that made him stick out to me as a D-1 talent. He has plenty of size, but nothing that really made me say WOW. I think the Highlanders take this one by 13.
  4. I was referring to the little league as the high school has only been open 9 years. I believe if people will just leave Lee alone and let him COACH and not babysit then we will have a good program.
  5. The little league program is back to where it use to be as far as numbers and support wise. The grasscutters have 47 kids playing, the supers are right at 35 and we have 30 on the pee wee side of things. We just need to keep all of our young talent in PF and not to SCHS. Of course we didnt have much of a choice did we senor yoak. In the middle school ranks, we have alot of good talent and not to mention one of the best coaches PF has ever had at any level Willie Headrick is back and helping with them. We were blessed enough to take the Super Grasscutters to last years Super Bowl and this years Grasscutters look good enough to be back there.
  6. No matter what, I will support this group of young men win or lose. I have a feeling alot of these parents or other onlookers on here are not originally from the area and don't understand the rich tradition of football in Pigeon Forge. Granted we have not had the best win/loss record over the past few years but Pigeon Forge will always be a football first community, no matter how well the baseball and basketball programs do. Go Tigers! What does scheduling down prove????
  7. Pigeon Forge has a freshman runningback Chase Travis who is doing excellent when he plays, it will be fun to watch him the next couple of years.
  8. Who has the upperhand in this battle, Carter dominated the game last year at their place but I don't think they are quite the same team and we have been getting better and better each week. Hopefully Tiger Stadium will be filled again Friday night like it was this past Friday. Tigers 14-13
  9. I will say this, this game was played with the intensity that a "rivalry game" should be played with. Both teams were excited to be there, fans everywhere,no trash talking much at all as everyone would have you believe and it was a great game. The simple key to this game was GP came out ready to play that second half and we didnt. Also anyone who thinks about stepping in front of Pittser in open field might want to have second thoughts...Dadgone he will bring the thunder.
  10. GP comes to us this year, I think that homefield advantage will be an advantage as this is our first home game of the year as well. I still think we can beat the Highlanders...
  11. I was there this past Friday at the Pigeon Forge game, and Grainger has one of the nicest fields that I have seen. The layout and the scenery is some of the best in high school football, if you're going to be sitting on the visitors side make sure and take along some sunglasses for the first qtr, as the sun is dead in your eyes. Plenty of parking, and I suggest the BBQ Chicken meal under the big blue tent!
  12. McBee is a very good QB for Grainger and just needs a few WR to hang on to some passes and they will be a very good team. Good size, lots of players so they stay fresh. Grainger by 13.
  13. The "support" of the community and the fan base doesnt appear to be there with only around 100 people making the trip to Grainger Friday night. The ones of us there were excited with the improvements that we saw or hopefully the other were I know I was. We have so many good young talents that will help us but alot of them are freshman being put into tough spots, but I think they performed at a high level. As for Friday night.....Tigers will win the battle of the tunnel!!!!!! Tigers 34-17
  14. Another tough loss between two very evenly matched teams and one heck of a ballgame. More impressive than that was the lack of penalties between the two teams with only around 4-5 for the entire game. To the folks at Grainger, you have a beautiful facility and what a view....Next week will be a battle, but we hung with em for a half and things always get interesting when it comes time for the battle of the tunnel.
  15. Now where did I say, that I knew tons about the game? However, to answer your question the reason that I choose to coach at the pee wee level is the fact that most of the kids play or have played baseball for me, attend the same church and I known their parents and have known them for several years. We also started coaching what is the 10 year old set of Tigers at the Grasscutter level and 4 of us have moved up each step with them. Now back to the high school, there have been some changes, but the core group is the same as it has been for years. I also know about the spreading of talent around the area schools, my senior year out of the 26 graduating seniors 16 would have been attending Pigeon Forge if the HS had been open. Lee is a great coach and was a real boost for our program, we will win some games this year and we will lose...The good news is that life goes on and football is everything that makes the world go around. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  16. SCHS by 13...After last weeks scare against Halls, they will put this one away without much of a threat.
  17. Well, all I can say is once this group of 8th graders that are there now get to high school I think we will be a much better HS program than we are now...That is provided if we can get some better assistant coaches at the HS...Every coach that we have had (reoccuring theme) have lost with the same set of coaches, maybe they should look there and look there soon..... /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  18. Still here, just more interested in coaching our Pee Wee team at the moment.. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  19. No disrespect but the D-Line gave us the majority of the penalty yards on that first drive by jumping offsides /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> That loss is the farthest things from their minds right now....I do agree with all the jaw jacking and such comment that was made...
  20. PF 14-13 We just need to come out and sustain drives like the first one against Cosby, and with a late lead I bet we will take a knee rather than run the ball!
  21. It doesn't matter, the ball should have never been run to start with....Take the knees win the game, that simple.
  22. Real Pigeon Forge fans, never said it was the refs. The difference between the real fans and the "new breed of fan" is we know that we got whipped like a dog, and out coach had a brainfart and will admit it. All I know is with Cosby having one timeout and only 41 seconds on the clock, two knee's and we win the game. As hard as it is to say this, its going to be hard for Lee to get alot of his fanbase's confidence back after last night. I also don't like our QB playing on defense either, one back injury and look what happens. He was out for one play on offense last night becuase of injury, the backup comes in and doesnt get the snap. Lots of problems need to be worked on and worked out before Friday night or Rutledge will lay one on us. /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  23. That was the most disheartining and sickening loss I have ever seen. To be winning with 41 seconds left on the clock on first down and rather than doing the smart thing and coming out with a win, we decide to run the football to the strong side where we had no success all night and cough up the ball, the lack of discipline we begin to run our mouths and put Cosby on the 5 or so and then leave a WR all alone in the back of the endzone for the game winning score. I will give Cosby lots of credit for never giving up and playing till the game was over, but we ( coaching staff) have to have a clue and just take a knee and secure a win. On another note that was the worst refs that I have ever seen in my life, from whistling an interception dead because of a penalty during the middle of the play to just the general crapiness of their calls on both sides made me disgusted with them as well.I don't know where these zebras came from, but they dont belong on the football field.
  24. We have to put the ball in the endzone this weekend. Like I stated in the post about the Sequatchie game, we can't seem to score to save our lives. We had a drive against the 3rd string of Sequatchie late in the game on the 15 and can't hang on to the ball and they run it back, just dumb stupid mistakes are absolutely killing us. Hopefully the Tigers can pull out the win and get this season turned in the right direction.
