their line might have "looked" lazy and they might not have seemed as fast as they were last year.. but look who they have played so far... when you play "down" or "bad" teams then it is kinda hard for some people to get pumped up... for this game i bet the laziness will be at a bare minimun.. and the speed will be all over the field on BOTH sides of the ball for BOTH teams... thats what i think and like nail07 brought up earlier it could come down to the extra points and 2 pt. conversions... i can't wait to watch this game in less than 24 hours... and personally i agree with the lower predicitons that have been predicted with scores around 14 or 15... to much "d" and not enough "o" for both teams...im not sayin that the "o" is not good either (just makin myself more clear) cause both teams have good offenses its just that their "d's" are better.... and i think whichever team makes the BIG play on special teams pulls off this nail bitter...

i wouldn't know if its fun to watch but it was always great to play.. i have to get used to this watching thing.. but yeah the two-point conversions could be a HUGE factor in this game.... i do admit the words and the meaning in your chant are better but when we were apart of that crowd when melrose played maryville and it was "cooper" time and all that was going on it was AWESOME!!!! /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" /> but i would say if i ended up pulling for the howard program (which would be any team you are not playin polk) and i actually got into the chant then yeah that would probably be cool too... i didn't mean to push any buttons or anything there t-mac.... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> . and i think this game really could go either way, but i played at polk and i support em so im saying polk all the way...

you should know just as well as me... the best chant ever is when your at the state championships and the orange mound fans are all screaming "MELROSE" but in that one way they say it..... that makes for a good atmosphere this is no lie, howard has beat us two years running lets not make it three... just think seniors you only have 5 promised games left... if you make it at least 6, which i hope you can, that is still just one more game... then it's over before you know it

thank you t-mac i have been waiting on you to post so i could get a good opinion on howard... how much better do you think they are from last year like in what aspects????? and to my post a little earlier in the thread i know they hit hard they were the hardest hitting team in the regular season that we played last year... and about the grundy game it seems that both of our teams could have killed them but we had some stupid calls against us that kept them around for a little while... and we haven't played notre dame yet... i think the least penalized team will win this game... and if a defense can score then that would change the outcome i do believe (more than in a game vs someone else)...

i see there is still no news on tarvers record or an injury report for howard... are they hiding something or what?? and what is the tigers overall best strength this year??? the running back like last year (who plays at TN Tech if im not mistaken) or maybe a deffensive player?? what is the deal on howard??? besides all of the "speed" they have..

like someone told me before... thats all coulda woulda shoulda stuff... if you give a worm a BB gun then birds don't mess with em either..poor throws or not it was a close game... do you not think we made some mistakes too? the only thing i worry about in this game is not the offensive players its the type of offense.. to me it seems the past two years howard has figured out how to slow it down a bit, and just enough for them to pull off the win.. hope polk can pull off the win good luck to the wildcats!!!!!

so true... but i wish they would bring more, it makes for a better atmosphere... and since the game is at polk then it will be called fair... there is never a game at polk where the refs give polk the win... and i cant say the same for anywhere else in the region, except maybe tellico...

i cant make a prediction with a score but i will make a prediction on a win or a loss... polk wins this one at home.. howard is tough but polk will come out a little more fired up i do beleive.. good luck to both teams and i cant wait to watch this game... i hope howard brings more fans then they did the last time... where is t-mac? and the rest of the tigers?

i couldn't have said it better myself..... i will say this though.. polk looked dang good tonight and i was really impressed with the intensity and determination that polk came out with... the "young" players on polks team are no longer boys they ARE men... i am really happy for the senior class they did what we could't do... the team looks great, and that game really showed me something... keep it up guys im looking forward to next week.. congrats.. the d looks excellent and the o gets better by every play.. a few mistakes were made but keep your heads up and listen to the coaches and it will be ok... o yeah and im glad i didn't get jumped at the game i guess i should say thanks??? but anyway lets get a howard thread going and we will keep it on football this time... /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> and to sweetwater good luck for the rest of the season.. tough loss but you still have 5 more games to go and i wish ya'll the best!!

why don't you make tre trip down to polk?? not only would you get to see a great game, but if you advertised that you were taking pics then im sure you could sell some cause the fans love to but stuff like that.. my parents bought some from you when we played grundy, and i think there would be parents that would love to buy pics from the game... the only thing is that i think that the DewCrew takes them to... im not sure on how that would interfere or if it even would..

is he a transfer or what?? i will have to text someone and ask about that i would like to be filled in on that... i was just asking cause i like when players transfer to polk cause of the program.. and i really like it when they come from schools in our region...

i really hate to hear that he isn't gonna play... the knee injury has kept him from playing before hope he gets better..... i'm not sure on how good the depth is at his postition is... could be a bad sign for polk.. once again im not sure though
