  1. I now where Patton lives, and yes he is supposed to be at Maryville. I don't have a problem with that at all. I wish him the best. My understanding is that Chip Fuller applied for the job and chose to leave.
  2. I know his family very well. His other uncle, his mother, and aunt, they all went to Heritage. If you go by where he lives, he is a Heritage kid. He played in the Eaglton pee-wee & midget league which don't mean much anymore when you have the Turbyfield bunch over there recruiting all the good athletes for the Alcoa program. For example: (McMurry, Chapman, Lequire). Back to Taharin, this kid is awsome and I am glad he is playing where he want to play and BIG DADDY wants him to play. He has a bright future ahead of him no matter where he plays football.
  3. We love our football!!!!! Blount County has some much good talent its hard to beat. I just wish we had a way to keep the kids in the schools they are supposed to attend. The competion would be so much better among the county teams, not to mention the different classes.
  4. I think it was for sports all along. Education had nothing to do with. He's a very smart kid and a real good athlete. The one year of home school was for his body to mature to be able to handle high schol football. It looks like it worked. As for the education at Maryville, it's all the same as any other public school..... You get what you pay for....
  5. Im sure you are probably rite. But if you think about it, if the kids that are supposed to go to Heritage actually go to Heritage, then they probably wouldn't be 1-9 every year. Just a few that come to mind are (Austin Tallent, Robinette, Mcglothlin, Tyler Maples, Taharin Tyson). Thats a lot of talent that would help any football program win games.
  6. If that was the case then he wouldn't be eligable to play this year. By TSSAA rule he would have to pass to play.
  7. He did pass the 8th grade with honors and took college prep classes at the high school. He is very intelligent, I heard that he had the highest SAT scores in the state for a 8th grade student. So we know he didn't fail the 8th grade. The home school year should have been his freshman year.
  8. I couldn't agree more. Both Maryville & Alcoa will compete at the next level and win many games. As far as Heritage goes, the are improving and have some real good Freshman players this year. The sophmore & Jr classes at heritage are the groups that played in the Middle School championship two years in a row. There is a lot of good talent out there.
  9. You are correct, He did play at HMS 2006 season. He did not attend any school last year, he was "home schooled".
  10. I don't know a lot about Farragut this year. Can someone help me out?
  11. What time do the gates open? Heritage is not playing and WB is out of town, so getting a seat will be impossible if you don't get in early. I want to make sure I am there to see a great high school football game between two teams with great programs and classy coaches. No matter the out come, if you are a true football fan, you should be proud of the talent and history we have in this county in high scool football. Heritage and WB have not alwaysd been bad teams. There has been great talent come from both of those scools and both have some talented kids this year also. I am so looking forward to HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL in Blount Co. this season.
  12. Michale Cermak from Heritage (Jr) Taharin Tyson - Alcoa (soph) Here's a couple of very good , young talent.
