Glad to see two of the Heritage boys sign with a great program. It seems to be a good fit for them both. These two have played ball together since 7th grade and have been best friends ever since. Great to see them move on to the next level of football and more important, getting there education. Congrats to you both.

Heritage should be at full strength since they had the off week last week. All players are healthy and should be ready to go.

I have no idea about the jersey issue. I do know that the coaches were not encouraging the players to stomp on the imblem. When the coaches noticed it the players were told to stop and get to the sideline. By this time it was obviously to late. HHS coaches do not support this type of activity. The kids have responded very well to the discipline that has been handed out and have had a good week of practice. Bad thing is we have several out with injuries and strep throat, that makes it hard to prepare for a game. GO MOUNTAINEERS....

HHS 2009, its fans like you we do not need in our program. Come on here and bash your own coaches is pretty lame. We expect it from other teams fans and people that like to hide behind there screen name, just as you are. If you want to come on here and support them, then great other wise keep your sour comments to yourself. I will agree it was a horrible game and I'm sure this coaching staff is just has hurt if not more than anyone. Time to move on and get ready for Farragut....GO MOUNTAINEERS....

Mountaineers have two wins under there belt, can they make it Three? LC played Loudon very close, could be a great match up Friday night.

It will be hard to find a team with more tallent and athlets than Alcoa. They have the best of the best,

Thanks tpoole, sorry to hear about your about the big loss. Evan had a pretty good game. The key to our win was our punter and the defense. We had some issues on offense but got it done when we needed to. Come on out next week. Good luck to you too on the rest of the season. Did WB come out clean, with no injuries? I think we did ok, maybe a few bumps and bruises is all.

Well its here. The first week is upon us. What is to be expected from both of these teams? I know Karns has had its share of drama over the summer, how will it affect them? Heritage has worked hard in the weight room this summer and have added a few new faces to the coaching staff. Lets see if it can show up on the field. My opinion is that it will and only good things to come for the Heritage program. GO MOUNTAINEERS....

I will tell you first hand that there has not been any fights at a Heritage practice. I'm not sure where you get your info but leave Heritage out of your threads.

Pretty good scrimmage last night at Rhea Co. Varsity score was HHS-4 RCHS-1, JV score was HHS-2 RCHE-5. HHS looked better last night than in the first scrimmage with HV. Offense was pretty good at times and the defense looked totaly different, in a good way. I hate that spring practice is over but now its time for them to hit the weight room. I'm sure coach Waters has a plan..... GO MOUNTAINEERS........

I would like to thank all the Rhea Co. parents and booster club for an outstanding job with the BBQ, slaw, beans & potato salad after last nights scrimmage game. I am a Heritage parent and was very impressed with the hospitality from the coaches and parents at Rhea Co. I know the boys really appreciated it. Thank You and good luck this season.

The scrimmage showed some areas of improvement for both teams. The Heritage defense does need some work. The offense looked pretty good except for a few dropped balls. The Heritage O line looks much improved from last year. I have no doubt that the coaches will have the defense ready come August 20th. GO MOUNTAINEERS.... Hardin Valley has a very good young running back and a good Tight End. There O line is small but moves very well. A little weak at DB's and D Line. They should win more games this season. I talked to a guy that was a ref at the MO West and Farragut scrimmage last week and he said MO West looked very good. He said that they beat Farragut pretty bad. He also said Farragut still had a few players in baseball so the werent full strength? Hardin Valley will scrimmage Heritage on Thursday 5/13 @ HV.

The Red & White game was last Friday. They have a scrimmage at Hardin Valley on Thursday 5/13 (tomorrow). Come on out and support them. The red and white game was pretty good, saw a lot of goods things but also several areas to make improvements. But to there defense they had only practiced 3 days before they played. Next Thursday they will go to Rhea County for there final scrimmage. I have been very impressed with our O Line so far. Have good size and much stronger than last season. The defense has made good strides. Skill people look good also. Cant wait to see how they put it together for the scrimmage tomorrow.

Glad to see someone else posting good things about Heritage. I have also watched practice this week and I am very pleased with the tempo and spirit from the kids & coaches. Everything seems to be running very well. Can't wait til Friday for the Red & White game to see how things have progressed. GO MOUNTAINEERS.........

Well said HHS2009. Thank you for your support. I will say the workout program is heading it the right direction. I see several of the kids on a daily basis and all of them have made great improvements in the weight room. The kids that I know and that have been working hard have gained size and strength over the past few months, so someone is doing something right. As far as I'm concerned the coaches can be left out of this thread because the person that started it named it "OFF SEASON WORKOUTS" not coaching changes or a coaches weight gain. If your not going to support our program stay off of our threads...Thank you.

Well deserved for a great young man. I have been around him for several years and have enjoyed watching him play football since pee wees. He will make a great cadet and football player at Army. They have made a great choice. Congrads Cermak.
