macon needs a whole new plan on offense. defence has slowly improved and gotten alot better since the start of season. Offence way to predictable, throw, throw, and throw some more. No counters, draws, misdirection. It's probally for a reason, but i don't get it. anyhow the tigers have showed improvement and have a great frame of mind and that's worth alot for a young football team.

To start with alot of players quit and basicly got ran off, over the last 4 years. It will take a year or 2 to fix the problem. It's not like the tigers opened up with any easy teams. The first 3 teams are strong. the coaches have got to play alot of young players. Next year will be much better because alot of kids are getting playing time. Every team went to the playoffs the tigers play but 1. Can any other team around say that. I don;t think so. Some of these teams went to the 2nd round or futher. When coach g. gets it build it want go down hill like it has. It will stay good. Give him time. IT'S COMING. gIVE HIM A CHANCE! He can't wave a magic wand and fix the mess he was handed, but the crystal ball says the future is bright. His honesty and fairness will build a progam quick.

Little bit.....I heard he had over 400 yrds on Trousdale and that says alot....Go Blue!!! Actually, there were about 300 yds. passing, mostly vs the 2nd. & 3rd. TC team. Overall yardage for MC was less than 400. Same for TC. Remember this was a Mercy game in the 3rd qtr. until Coach Creasy pulled the starters. MC looked great vs the subs, and they'll likely improve the next year or two. Got some talent with the passing game, but with virtually no running game to keep a defense honest, they're gonna get killed with their schedule. Our D did a poor job getting pressure in the backfield, unlike last year. FCS may do better or worse in that regard, but it will be key to shutting down the passing game. When we did get a bit of pressure on Grace, he didn't fare as well. A sack or 2 & 3 ints. Should be an interesting matchup. T.c. ran a 3 man front all night. why I DON'T know. Im not sure they actually was trying to put pressure. looked more like they wanted to cover the pass the most.

This was a great post teamspirit. It will take ole goolsby a year or 2 to get things back on the right track but he's doing a fine job so far, considering the MESS he was handed from the last 4 years.

Anyways, what about our new weapon? I bet that was some scene at the jamboree Friday night, huh? The kid basically has never seen a football, or put on the pads until last Tuesday. Best statement ever made right here on a macon county thread. Coach if you don;t ever listen to nobody else please, please listen to the remark strongside69 made. I promise it will be 1 of the most imporant statements, not only for u but for the players and the program. People are sick of it and the ones that has back them a little. Sit back and watch what happens in the next couple of years at the changes, if you don;t belive it. Great post strongside

Good luck to macon. If you keep the game close with T.C. it should be a decent season for the tigers.If it;s a blow out. Could be another long season for the tigers.

Im glad you ask. Statement of the season. As long as the coach is fair and don't play politics or dad favorites and put the best 11 on O AN BEST 11 ON D. He will gain respect from the players not fans or parents. You got to get it from the players or your history. If he does this this year could be better than most people think. The respect from the players will make the team better each season and more will come out to play once they see it's on the up and up.Next year could be really good and the year after even better,but the coach will have to earn this respect from the players.Time will tell. I personally think he will, but he's got to make a belever first.Don't think the players don't know the ropes some have been threw 2 or 3 years of B.S. Use no angles for fans, parents or board members and he will be just fine. After the last 4 years the players, fans,and parents know every angle that was taken and WHY.

It could be a long season or it could be a fair season. It just depends on how the players respond to coach goolsby. Next year looks to be a little better and the year after.Me personally wish he would have made more changes on the staff. There has not be alot of change. Maybe it was enough. With that being said I am hopping for the best and pulling for macon county. Macon leaders does need to wise up a bit. It's just to much politics and to many teachers getting their way. This was not meant to be disrespectful, just the plain old truth.
