  1. On the topic of college, its what you make of it. A highly motivated individual at Northeast state can be receiving a far better education than someone who lays around and plays video games all day at princeton. It all comes down to what you want to make of yourself. However I don't think the statement that "college is college" is true. They each offer a unique experience, and what it comes down to is not whats on the resume, but what impact it had on your character. A kid doesn't have to play college football to be successful or develop character, he just needs to find a place that will push him out of his comfort zone a bit, whether it be in football, some other sport, or just the classroom. Well, there's my life speech for the day. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Yeah the point here is that NET doesn't have a reputation for putting out D1A football players, especially the mlc. Occassionally, you will get the walk-on at UT, but all in all, we don't get near the recruiting attention as other areas, such as knoxville. This area does have a lot of good high school football players, but I don't see a lot of D1A potential. With as dominant as Curt was, can you compare anyone in the league to him now? Because he is essentially what a high profile college is looking for. This is just how I see it, from experience.
  3. Good football teams do not play to the ability of their opponent.
  4. I think south has the potential to make this a onesided game. Offensively, they've looked very solid. Anytime you can average 20+yards per carry, you know you're doing alright. However, i would not look over greeneville. Last year coming into the south game they had lost to boonej 14-0 the week before. So i wouldn't put as much store in the prior weeks as some might be tempted to. South's defense needs to solidify a bit before i feel assured of victory. And does anyone know how greeneville's o-line looks? How many are returning from last year? Also, are they keeping the look of a smaller, faster d-line this year?
  5. Bottom Line: South won't have trouble with unicoi. South's offense is pretty potent and unicoi just doesn't have enough firepower to handle them. Defense troubles me though.
