  1. I understand that. I'm not insinuating that at all. Serrano was very good yesterday. Tullahoma had nothing for him. I have more of a problem the guy behind the plate last night. He was a joke and everyone there knew it. I'm just going to shut up on this one. Enjoyed the banter guys.
  2. Quotes ...... Cool ....... I have a couple. "Incompetent umpires should not be in a state tournament." - Me "Anyone who thinks the TSSAA cares about anything other than turning a profit has not watched very much Tennessee high school sports" - Me Again ....... I'm really not making excuses for Tullahoma. I think you are completely missing the point here. They lost, Farragut & Dyer County won and moved on. Congratulations to them. I think we are going to have to agree to disagree on this one.
  3. It did not take long to get the reply I knew I would get. I don't think anyone is saying that Tullahoma should have won anything. All I'm saying is that the TSSAA should have competent umpires at the STATE TOURNAMENT and I don't believe anyone that was at either game at Oakland yesterday can say that is the case. I really do not believe that is too much to ask. Those calls just as easily could have gone against Farragut and Dyer County and their fans would be on here complaining. The fact of the matter is there is an issue that needs to be fixed.
  4. I'm a Tullahoma fan, so I'm expecting the "the umpire didn't lose the game for you" responses. I was not at the Farragut game yesterday, but I was listening to the Farragut radio broadcast at work and THEIR announcers said the ball looked foul for what it is worth. That being said, I was at the Dyer County game last night and the umpire behind the dish was absolutely horrendous. If the TSSAA does not have more qualified umpires that can work a state tournament, then they need to just close up shop. The guy was a complete embarrassment. Umpires should not clearly effect the outcome of the game at the any level, much less the state tournament.
  5. I stand corrected. It has already been great. I'm good with "greater."
  6. Well said Binns. Maybe carlosthemonkey16 can make his way to Columbia and support the Lions Friday night. I would love for him to see Tullahoma beat a team he supports for the third time in the last four weeks. I guess it's only natural for someone to jump on the bandwagon of a team (Columbia) that has the chance to do what your own team (LC) could not. As Binns said, every team has their share of obnoxious fans (T-Town) included. Unfortunately for our friend carlosthemonkey16 he is going out of his way to prove that he represents that type of fan for LC.
  7. I hope Tullahoma has a huge turnout in Columbia. We need to be in the seats in Columbia supporting this Wildcat team. It has been a good year so far and it has the potential to be great if the Cats can pull this one off. Let's make this game seem like it is in T-Town since it should be anyway.
  8. I hope you guys enjoy trying to find information on Hillsboro and their opponents next year. The Region 5-4A website is something you may miss when it is gone although I'm sure you will never admit it. The site has its flaws just like everything else, but I think the guy does a great job overall. Sure it is basically his opinion, but if you don't like it don't read it. Good luck in your new region. I would say I'll miss the 3-4 trips to Nashville a year, but I assure you I will not.
  9. I think Beech does have to be the favorite here but I will be suprised if it is an easy win for them. Don't let the 6-4 record fool you. Tullahoma is a pretty good football team. There 2 losses to Hillsboro & Maplewood got a little out of hand late. They lost 7-6 to Whites Creek in a monsoon and 17-14 in OT to Lincoln County at "The Pit." I think it will be a close one tonight.
  10. Tullahoma (6-4) @ Beech (9-1)........I think the potential is there for a #4 seed upset. What do you think?
  11. You are on a roll today...................I just hope I'm able to get a parking spot Friday night with all the Maplewood folks coming to town to support the mighty Panthers.
  12. That's funny.................... I could have sworn Terrance Holt was long gone from Maplewood. There is no doubt he had 2 great games against Tullahoma, but I don't believe that is going to be worth any points to you guys Friday night.
  13. Anyone know the standing in Region 6-4A. Just wondering about some potential match ups with region 5-4A. Thanks
  14. That is funny stuff............I could not have said it any better. If T-Town can simply avoid giving up a couple of cheap ones early The Wood' will be in for a dogfight. The longer the Cats hang around in this one the more I like there chances. If they can keep it close I believe that Maplewood will self-destruct. The THS coaches and the crowd will also make a difference in a close one. Tullahoma fans should outnumber Maplewood fans something like 3,500 to 12. Hope it is a good one Friday!! T-Town 20 The Wood 13
