  1. Wise & True....good advice and great post, Comp. REBEL NATION!
  2. Thanks for the props Batman, RM3, and Wildcat. I'll just keep givin' that same Mama speech and hope it helps. He's worked REALLY hard on and off the field since his return halfseason. I'd still like to see Bobby, Fletch, & TY BUST IT OUT on Greeneville! Give Dylan Ellis support- he played great and pulled off some magic. They boy comes from hard times and needs as much support as he can get. I'll be wearing his #5 jersey at Greeneville--- he asked me to and I said I would be honored. Another Taylor Gal will rep Bobby's #2 jersey so he won't be left out. Now the big question.... Blue hair again or should I go Rebel Red? Bobby had a cow when he looked up in the stands and my HAIR matched his UNIFORM! /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> I told him it was 'Bobby Blue!" You can't imagine how relieved he was to see me take it out before bed---- he was sure I dyed it. So was anyone else completely exhausted after the game Friday? I had to absolutely take to the bed on Saturday and when Bobby inquired about my health status I announced that I PLAYED THE ENTIRE SOUTH REBEL GAME ENTIRELY BY MYSELF-offense and defense (at least my body felt like it!) and I needed to be in the recovery room. Lord! It's hard to pray, parent, play, yell, coach, be the referee, AND have Rebel Blue hair! Anyone else with me?! THE BOBBA MAMA Proud #2
  3. As we talked about after the game, Comp,... I'm not sure why they didn't use the Bobby & Fletc magic mix more. Bobby feels like he only gets pulled when they need a 1st down. I'm trying to keep his spirits up these days since he's not seen much of the field in the last few games. He's tired of hearing my 'next year..." Any advice boyz?
  4. You know this mama would love to see the Blue 2 move the ball! We love Ty Garvin just anytime--- he'll be my son in law, ya know. /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Rebel Holla #2 Love, the BobbyMama
  5. Ha! 90% were mine. My husband mandated that NONE of the kids could come to that game so he could concentrate--- so they all invited a friend--- so many we had to take 2 cars to the game. See how much control the man has around our house? I finally hemmed them all in down on the track stairs before he THREW them down there... "Hey dad, got a dollar for hot chocolate?" "Hey dad can you hand me my purse? "Hey dad, Do you think Bubby likes my shirt? "Can Bubby see me?" Gotta love those two men that live with us 5 women! Don't THEY have it made? Go Rebs---Bobby took his Endo Rush with him to drink before the game. I figured if it would help him, I better take one to school with me--- teaching 3rd grade is a lot like the playoffs somedays.
  6. Do we have to sit in the rain AGAIN tomorrow night? It's so hard on my harley bandanna and Bobby's away uniform... nevermind my eyelashes. Hey- no grief, somebody's gotta be the redneck mom. I'm certain Bobby is just proud--- it's why he never looks in the stands! The boy doesn't want to see what his mama is wearing OR what she's doing. I like to keep my kids nervous like that. I'm a firm believer that you have to act crazier than they do. Holla!
  7. Holla! Ty Garvin fan club weighing in here, too. Good thing I like the boy because Kate, my 4 year old, announced the other night that she's going to 'be marrying him.' Nice taste, Kate! We'll have to see what your Big Bubby has to say about that, however. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> We love that #33....Holla!
  8. Yep, I'm the BobbyMama! He's a great kid and will have a good story to tell about his life one day. He has a lot to give and a heart as big as his smile is bright. Thanks for your nice rememberances! We're proud he's a second generation REBEL.
  9. So, how do you like your margaritta? Salt? Lime? Frozen? It's Monday- chill, already.
  10. Let's make our own committee to make sure the big boys visit with the little guys more often next year. Maybe have an FCA meeting at CHAC or something- take them crosses like we do the visiting team with their school colors? It's also good for our boys to be reminded that they are roles models and are constantly being watched by the lil guys. #2 got cell phone priviledges back this week- he said "yeah! I can call home when I need a ride now!" yeah...that was the original use for the phone, dear boy. He's remembering the original uses of lots of things these days! Thanks for your letters & support. We appreaciate you!
  11. Should Bobby bring them popcicles???? /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  12. Yes, they'll have a wheelchair there for us by the time our last ones are through, won't they? And get your 2cents in here! We need it! Hey, when's the next CHAC game and Bobby will show up with some crew... you're right- it would be good for those guys to see the big boys cheering them on. Next game & time?
  13. The entire section getting the free handouts are the 5 Taylor children.... there's so many of us that we can spread out and take over....kind of like a bad case chicken pox, except worse. For a small fee, we resale the items after the game on Mama Taylor's tailgate while she's having her victory toddy. /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  14. Thanks for Bobby's pat on the back. He needs it right now... as he regains some of his freedom (no influence from your Dr. Spock parenting, sweety Cap! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) He's earned them- clean drug tests, etc. I drive a pretty hard bargain, so if he's making headway with me- you know he's earned it! We feed the boy FARM CHORES! Pick some stalls, feed the cattle & horses before school and again when you get home after practice. Those guns of his? ... NOT from weight lifting--- those are from putting up square bales all summer and throwin' them down all fall & winter. The boy works hard for his arms on my ranch, baby. I'm a rough Ranch Boss Lady- just ask around. He can actually ride a horse better than I can for a black kid. I can say that because he's my kid! Thanks for support for Bobby- we look forward to a great finish and a healthy year in '09. You senior parents better come out and throw us some Rebel Alum support even if your kids are off in college. For me....Greg and I will have a kid at South the rest of our living time on earth with our youngest at 4! We spoil her--- she's picking our nursing home. Love, Mama Taylor #2 Rebel Love
  15. So Mama Taylor wants to know if you got your answer to the smack talk to should I break Friday's game down for ya? Just ribbin' ya, Cap. You know know you're my fav! MamaTaylor
  16. Don't count out the REAL gal in the bunch! /wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Our BOYZ kicked it in on Friday! I'm looking forward to a home game and lots of tailgate fun before the beat down....anyone else in? Us Taylors have a lot to celebrate these days- Go Rebs- BobbyMama
  17. Cap, Dude, I am so with you! I was reading along thinking maybe my 3rd grade class had hijacked the forum--- at least all the girls in my class.... UGGG, boys! Do you need Mrs. Taylor to put you in detention? We hope Bobby plays tonight and that Fletcher gets a ton of yards for his last game. I've got some great random photos of the team to get to most of you Rebel parents- if you see me tonight, give me a yell for some great pictures to share. I'll have my 4 year old with me- she insists on skipping trick or treating to see her big 'Bubby' play his last game for the year. Now that's a loyal future REBEL Gal for ya! Thanks for all the support for our family & The Blue ######- we appreciate our friends! Love & Rebel Football- BobbyMama
  18. I'm proud of our Rebel boy for a good game on Friday night. It took us a bit to find our groove, but when we did! Can't wait to catch our mojo and rock it on Friday. GO REBS!!
  19. Sorry Cap. You sounded so like one of the BOYZ! Most 40 year olds really do need to clean their rooms, I agree. He he he!
  20. All right- you boys need to get off Coach T and go wash dishes for your mama or something. Since this is one of Bobby's possee going to bat for him, I'll take this as a sweet post. I know you all want Bobby released from his parental prison...but it took him 2 years to work his way into this and it'll take some time to work his way out. (more than just the few weeks that it has been) I'm not afraid of driving Bobby away- he knows we love him and if he can find a better place out there than our home- then make reservations for 2! He knows his actions are not going unnoticed, I promise. About the drug test pass- hey, that's a great idea since every test we give him costs our family $50- and since we give them several times a week-- maybe we will skip one and take the famiy to dinner instead. (It cost us all 7 of us at least that much to go through Pals... and I'm NOT kidding!) Wanna join us? I love that your helpin' your brotha' out... just keep helping him know we love him, that you've got his back, and that drugs really aren't the answer to a dang thing- rarely even a temporary fix. Now, go do your laundry or mow the yard! Call me when you've taught 17 years of elementary school and raised 5 kids--- then we'll compare parenting skill, Dr. Spock! You know I love you boyz--- but I am hardcore--- because that's how I roll. Go clean your room.
  21. Thanks etfan, for the kind apology. The reason we decided to air 'laundry' is on the chance that it might help another kid. We'll be glad to sacrifice any community reputation we might think we have to help another child. What an amazing blessing it would be that not only Bobby would overcome his past drug problem- but that we could help another kid- maybe a football player- maybe even one of Bobby's friends. I know his friends and football parents read this forum- that's why I chose to post here and anywhere else that it might reach a parent or child that is looking for that little push to help or get help. I'm in the profession of helping kids- not just my own. My husband and I are very civic- we put our money and our time in action. My husband just served as president of the Kingsport Boys & Girls Club this past year and now serves on the board. You will always see us and our children volunteering our time in the community. We are both in the business of helping kids. So, my laundry is open anytime (not because I'm proud of it- our family is predominately made up of complete screw ups)- but, especially if I think it could save a life--- A Rebel life or any other. That's why I did not hide my identity on this forum- Rebel Love & Pride- BobbyMama#2
  22. Many thanks for your kind reply.
