This was a great game. Grundy came out with alot of passion, and jumped out to a big lead. Some posted earlier that Grundy shot 95% in the first half, well alot of it had to do with Marion not getting back on defense. I thought Grundy outplayed Marion, but jus made some mistakes down the stretch. Teddy absolutly put the team on his back. He simply refused to lose. Corp hit a huge three late in the forth and Cody did many things that might not show up on the stat sheet. I thought Grundy did all the right things. The defense put alot of pressure on Marion and they really tried to keep the ball out of Codys hands. Grundy kelp it a low scoring game which is exactly what they needed to do. I thought Hamp and Kreh played huge for us. I hope the next game is as exciting as the first was.

I don't think this is gonna be the blow out that most ppl say. I actually expect a barnburner, with Grundy winning by a bucket. Both teams will be hyped due to the names on the jerseys, not to mention most have played AAu ball together. Marion has more top end talent but Grundy is deeper and has better coaching. Can Grundy control tempo? That's a big question. I am most excited to see Sartain and Teddy go at it, great friends who played together in the same back court for so many years. But anyway I predicted a split. And I am stickin by it.

i watched ER play last night and i wasn't really blown away by them, but it was vs Howard. Marion is more talented but this is the kinda team that gives Marion problems, they crash, they play hard and they will get in your face. I think it will be alot closer than ppl think

Marion - 73 Seq. - 57 Cody- 18 pts 23 Rebs and 10 blocks hahahaha....I would like to apologize to Cody for underestimating him haha. Corp balled out with 17 and as always played locked up D. Teddy had 16, good to see him get it going. 18,17,16 from Cody Corp and Ted is Huge. Big shout out to my boy Martin, the dude is very underrated and hit several big shots and has great court vision. Good game from Marion, and a great way to finish off the week. 3 big district wins.

I would say the same thing if you were talkin about Cody, Corp or maybe even Martin haha. man last night was ugly. plain and simple. Codys ankle looks like a mess, but he was like Boobie Miles on the sideline askin for his chance, and he finally got it. in 9 mins of PT he had 15 pts bout 6 rebs 3 block shots and took a charge on fast break against a guard.....VERY impressive. But the energy he brought was what sets him apart IMO. Teddy, Corp and Martin all got picked up the intensity when Cody came in. They were down 6 or so to start the 4th but they brought it home. Everyone has their influences growing up through sports, both good and bad and I kno for a fact that Brent has had a positive influence on Teddy. As far as wanna be coaches, I think thats kinda what I am talking about, outside sorces, some good some bad..... I'd love to distinguish which is which if you will 98NC's

Sounds like a good game. I know rebounding has really been Seq.'s weakness. They are a good ball club tho, and I think Ben Cartwright's rpg will go up by about 2 a game, i think he is that kinda leader.....and set the tone and i hope his teammates follow. Rebounding is all about want to, Dennis Rodman simply wanted it more than anyone else. I hope/think Seq will get this took care of. Best of Luck to them boys down in Seq.

Congrats Teddy! I couldn't be more impressed with his passing this year. He was handing out dimes last night. He also always seals the game with is free throw shooting down the stretch. I couldn't be happier for Teddy, I think he is extremely underrated, still. But I'm sure Teddy will point out how many ppl he's had help him along the way....Coach Roberts, Parker, Nat Newsome, his Brothers and Brent Layne (who needs to get off the refs back a lil bit at games). But Teddy I'm proud of you and jus laugh at the haters bro, that's exactly what I'm doing right now.

For Grundy it started with Sartain settin the tone early, he promised me he would and I couldnt be more proud of him. The D that Kreh and Seagroves came with was great to see they were matched up with the lil Cartwright and Kiper all night and i would bet neither had over 10. Butner did what he always does, I could watch that kid play all day. But Hampton was absolutely huge, and this was prolly one of the best games I have seen him play. Tippy also looked good out there, as did Colby Ladd......i could go on As for Seq. I think Grundy kinda knocked em back so hard with the initial run and they never really recovered. I love the game that The 2 Cartwrights play, and the lil Cartwright gets alot of pub but I think his big brother is Very underrated. Kiper is also one heck of a player and the match up between him and Seagroves is a good one cause there so simular in that they can take you off the dribble or step back and hit the J on you. I am jus glad the boys are listining to Coach Holt and Bryant and not other ppl like idiots on a message board. hmmm some of these post are a little strange to say the least. For Grundy it all starts with Butner. He has a one gear and it's full go! I think Grundy's ability to crash the boards will be the difference in the game. They can control the glass but idk if they will or not. I think Hamp could have a big game summin like 12 & 12, same could be said about Kreh. Also look out for the match up between Sartain and Ben Cartwright, both are smart senior guards who are the heart and soul of their teams, not to mention both can fill it up. This is gonna be a good game with the 2 best coaches in the valley goin at it

Grundy in a close one...its a game i am really looking foward to. I think grundy is jus a lil deeper and maybe even a lil more athletic. Good luck to the Grundy boys, Coach Holt and Coach Bryant
