i think this game will come down to how well rockwood plays in the atmoshpere in sweetwater. it is very hard to win a game at sweetwater. rockwood barely beat them down there 2 years ago. of course sweetwater and rockwood had better teams but it is very hard to win there. im going to take my boys from rockwood in a very close game. linemen get ur minds right because you are gonna have to kill them in the trenches. lets go tigers, do it for the x-players, cuz id give anything to go back out there and play with you.

I just wanted to tell you Harriman fans especially Donna Hall and family that I have had a wonderful time playing ball against them for 4 years. I have many friends on that team and think of them like brothers also. Alex, Jason,and Brett have been very competitive but we always get a good laugh with each other during the big ball games against each other. Good luck to you guys in the future and especially in ball because I know all three of you guys will play somewhere. Matt Goddard P.S. On May 21st I played my last high school ball game. Sectional game against Unaka. What made it even worse, is that it was my birthday. There would be no better birthday present than to win that game and go to the state tournament. We came into the ball game as intense as I have ever seen us. But we ran into a tough bump in the road. Unaka played their hearts out and we played farely well but just couldn't put runs on the board. My best friend Corey Payne pitched one heck of a game in his final outing in high school. He had gave up 1 run going into the 6th. Then I still dont know how it happened but a kid from Unaka hit a 2-run homer and put them up 3-0. I really dont know how he hit it out because it was a real tough pitch to hit, but he did. And that was the killer. I have had the best years of my life playing with Coach Lane and Coach Cofer, and the rest of the tigers. I've cried of joy,pain, and defeat. It was the best time I have ever had. I love this game and I loved wearing the Rockwood jersey. For the rest of my life my blood will run green and I will always be here to support the tigers. Again I love you all, tigers, tiger fans, and anyone who has supported us throughout the years. Matt Goddard #24

ROCKWOOD TIGERS should win it next year, if all goes well...we lost 4 good seniors, but got an awesome freshman class...see yall there.

In the past when Rockwood has made that long journey, we(the parents) have been responsible for getting our kids there. NO bus, No rented vans, but parents. But we didnt mind because we were just glad to be going to the next level. We all knew where the hotel was we were going to and had a time to meet there and usually there was a convoy of 2-3 cars but you would see others on the road so in a way everyone was together. Thank heavens for cell phones and walkie talkies for bathroom breaks and gas breaks. Yes it would be nice for it to be more centrally located and hopefully it will in the future. Congrats to all teams who participated in the Spring Fling. GO TIGERS!

no the question was who does everyone think will make the all-state team in A this year. its not a thread about who is the best catcher.

i have heard about the roane county summer league team but i have not recieved a phone call or anything. if anyone knows when it will start or when to start practicing please let me know. i would appreciate it. thank you.

rockwood should have a few on it with payne, willis, goddard, and doughty. fill me in on your opinions.

well we really only had just a couple of jv games. one at dekalb co. and one against webb. clem didnt do that bad but im not sure about matt hill. im anxious to see what will happen with clem since whitaker will be the starting catcher for the next 2 years. he will have a spot somewhere though.

Baseball season is over for the the Tigers. It's been a good season and have enjoyed every minute of it.
