No, you gotta heat him up and get after him, with a qb spy assigned to him.

If Clinton loses this game, the wheels will completely fall off the dragon wagon.   They put on their yearly post Oak Ridge loss public meltdown after the game last Friday.  Same as last year, coaches yelling at coaches yelling at players yelling at other players, etc.  So, the wheels are already loose in the year of the dragon.  I'm sure 2-5 after seven games was not the plan for Clinton's "Best Team Ever" we heard all summer.

This is all part of the Coaches plan. We're just holding back until the playoffs.

Yep I guess AC will need it... Oops I mean yep I will need it... Too. Lol. This is hard and I really mean it. A QB that scrambles like Keith and an offensive line against a really good OR team makes this a hard one. Now I have no doubt AC will run a score up but will Clinton match it with the scrambling. Putting this one in the hands of Defense Coach Lambert. He's been really good and pretty confident. The Cleveland game is another example that Clinton can score. If we can get like 3 stops that will put us comfortably ahead. If we don't this will be a shootout and someone bar the door.

What concerns me about this Clinton team is the same thing that worried me before the season started and that is their defense.

Clinton's defense looked really good until they fired the defensive coordinator after the Oak Ridge game last year, and ever since then this defense has looked lost against the better teams on their schedule.

Moog will have a huge game this week as long as he is healthy because Clinton hasn't shown that they can stop the run against a decent team.

I don't know who Clintons defensive coordinator is this year but the defense doesn't look like it's getting better or coached up in my opinion.

Right now, I'm going to say AC 42 Clinton 28

I hope Clinton proves me wrong.

Clinton has more talent, seniors, and depth. On paper they should outright win. AC has better coaches and scheme. But may not be enough to overcome the talent disparity.

It's a rivalry game so throw it all out the window

You're absolutely correct. On paper, Clinton should win. But I'll be surprised if they do the way they've been playing especially on defense.

  4. AC crosses the Clinch River Thursday night for the cross town showdown. Two or three weeks ago, I might have thought this would be a close game.  Now, I just don't think it'll be that close. AC is starting to bang on all cylinders while Clinton's defense can't seem to force a 3 and out on decent teams. And the offense has trouble scoring on a decent defense.

    Sighhhh, Thoughts? Predictions?

How Clinton gonna cheat so bad and still lose.Running that mouth all offseason but forgot games had to be played.I love seeing Don in that ugly orange and black looking lost and confused as ever.Clinton people really bought in to Coach Keith but surely see through the bs now.Quit going and recruiting all the East TN malcontents that nobdy else wants to put up with and play with Clinton players. That man obsessed with Oak Ridge and thought getting anybody from Oak Ridge was a big win for him.Didnt even realize he was just helping us out so we dont have to deal with them and some of their crazy parents.Poor kids on his team still never seen Clinton beat Oak Ridge. What will he try next

Cheaters never win and winners never cheat. So there you have it.

Interesting… Rhea lost to Central and scored 7 points(maybe 14 as I can’t remember if it was 14-7 or 21-14) Walker Valley beat Cleveland. Was Rhea not healthy against Central?

    No, I don't think so

I've heard the exact same thing. That is crazy to think about. What a waste of a Soph and Jr year.

I agree 100% but you remember back in those days most coaches would start a Junior or Senior over a younger player. Most players had to wait their turn. Things sure have changed over the years. I see Freshmen starting these days especially if they are more talented than the older kids

I'm not sure I follow you. Rang is ejected from the game and won't be in the stadium but I'm not sure what else is included in his suspension. Are you saying that you know the specifics of the suspension? If so, please explain

What I'm saying is a coach that has been suspended for a game of course can't be in the stadium but I'm sure  have tried to be involved by calling a member of the coaching staff and trying to coach over the phone. I'm just saying it wouldn't surprise me if that has happen or still happens

I'm saying I wouldn't do that myself. I feel like that is trying to bend or break the rules. I would just serve my suspension and the wife and I would have a Friday date night. Lol

BB Hate to pop your bubble but there will be all the regular coaches there plus a special coach, that being Acting Head Coach  Joe Gaddis.Coach  Rang asked Joe to fill in. And I'll bet Coach Rang won't be too far from" Ron Brown Stadium"! I'll also bet there may be some phone calling to the sidelines from afar, calling plays. It's happened before.

I guarantee it has happened before and will continue to happen. I myself would consider that breaking the rules or cheating....but maybe I hold myself to a higher standard than most and am completely wrong.

I just don't understand the point in the suspension if a coach is allowed to do that.

I think it will be to their detriment if they downplay the talent of #1. I know he’s really young and didn’t have a good game last Friday, but we have to also remember that he had 2 wide open TDs dropped by the OR WR corps, so I would think it to not be in their best interest to underestimate our passing game. But, I hope they continue to think that way haha.

I can see where a coaching staff would want to try to limit Dozier but OR does have more weapons on offense that I would be worried about also. #13 , #3 can both take it to the house on any play.

As a Clinton fan, I would be more worried about OR's defense and try to come up with a game plan to keep them on their toes.

This should be a good game, but I can also see OR winning by 14+
