  1. If you go all-time, my pick would be Albert Davis from Alcoa in the mid 60's. I've been watching high school football practically every Friday during the season since 1959 and he's the best I've ever seen. More recently, but probably still too far back for this discussion would be James 'Little Man' Stewart at Morristown West around 1990. He was a great player and was UT's leading career rusher when he graduated even though he played with two other pretty good backs there in Charlie Garner and Hayden.
  2. Teffeteller was probably the purest shooter I've ever seen. There was another kid he played with at Walters State named Dan Anderson that could also shoot. Also, from way back Ron Widby and Jimmy England were two of the better shooters around.
  3. I believe if you look, the last two losses the Rebels have on their fantastic record are to the same team which just happens to be from the same region as the Devils. And don't have a clue who has beaten Maryville the most but would guess Alcoa simply because that's probably the team they've played the most.
  4. not in uniform for mo-east were they? but at least they were there!
  5. A spike does count as a pass attempt and a knee counts as a rush. But the knee goes as a team carry and does not go againt the quarterback.
  6. Cane you're are right. he threw 1 pick when East got greedy just before the half of West game and two at Greeneville. Those are the only three all season long. 3 picks in 101 attempts for the season.
  7. East has turned the ball over 22 times this season.....19 fumbles, 3 intc. They are plus six on turnover ratio for the year as they have recovered 11 fumbles and intercepted 17 passes. They have not lost a fumble in every game and the number of fumbles is kind of exaggerated because several of the fumbles on the charts have come when snaps in the shotgun have hit the ground.
  8. It makes no difference where they started counting from, if the TSSAA says they are dividing by enrollment and Morristown East and Henry County were 5A, they should be allowed to stay 5A instead of their classification changing because of what another school did...not by enrollment.
  9. Never said they won eight games in MLC but wouldn't want to see those five or the three non-conference either.
  10. Haven't posted before but watch with great interest. Would have to agree that if North team I saw on Friday won eight games, I sure wouldn't want to watch many came in MLC. MoEast can play with most teams if they can hang on to ball and avoid silly penalties. Should be a great game. That's why I don't post...I can't type. Was trying to say wouldn't want to watch many games in MLC.
