ALL JOKES ASIDE, AFTER GETTING POUNDED 4 30 YEARS BY THE METRO AREA TEAMS WE ARE FEELING GOOD RIGHT NOW. WE HAVE 35 KIDS RIGHT NOW, IF WE GET UP TO 45 OR 55 KIDS NEXT YEAR WE COULD HAVE A SOLID TEAM. WE GOT 1800 STUDENTS BUT ONLY SUITS UP 35 TO 45 PLAYERS EACH YEAR. WE KNOW WE ARE A SLEEPING GIANT, BUT FOOTBALL IS NOT A BIG DEAL IN OUR COUNTY, MAYBE THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS IS THE SPARK WE NEEDED. THOSE KIDS DESERVE THE ATTENTION AFTER A BIG WIN. JUST WAIT TO NEXT YEAR....

NOW WILL THE COACHING STAFF GO GET THE KIDS. I TOLD YOU ALL, THEY ARE ABOUT 10 QUALITY PLAYERS AWAY FROM A TOP 10 RANKING. NEXT YEAR WE SHOULD GO AT LEAST 8-2 OR 10-0 IF THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE DO THEIR JOB. THE TURN AROUND HAS HAPPEND. BUT IF THE CITY,SCHOOL,AND COACHING STAFF DONT MOVE YOU WILL LOSE THE MOJO. GET THE PLAYERS TO ADD A PASSING GAME AND YOU WILL ALL SEE WHAT I HAVE BEEN TALKING ABOUT. I think added press should be the goal, to make these guys a household name in our city now, not if they beat a good or go to the playoffs.Where a small town, there's no reason that we cant avg 3000-5000 fans at home games.Remember only 35 kids out 1800 students. Just added depth of 10 kids will help maybe a few OL and DB/WR'S. WHAT is the coaching staff, school,AD, doing to reach those other kids. They might not be D1 but for us it might be enough. ALSO speed kills, if we got kids at skill positions that run 4.7's they should be down to 4.5 at the start of next season. I personally didn't see big speed improvements with the young players. I think if the kids see their times go down thats added boost, and with the O we run, added speed can lead for few W'S just on speed alone. NEXT SEASON, those 55 kids should the faster and stronger. cause im waiting to go to OHIO and play in the CHALLENGE I hope everyone else has the vivion 2.

MARYVILLE BEATS ALCOA EVERY YEAR WITH LESS TALENT BUT WITH GOOD COACHING. LOOK AT WEB SITES FROM EACH SCHOOL FIRST START WITH MARYVILLE,DAVID LIPSCOMB, RAVENWOOD,BRENTWOOD,GOODPASTURE,OAKRIDGE,GERMANTOWN, JUST TOO NAME A FEW OF THE TEAMS THAT HAVE MADE IT TO STATE IN TN. LOOK AT TEXAS, CALI,OHIO,PENN, IM TRYING TO SAY YOU DON'T NEED TOP ATHLETES WIN AT THE HIGH SCHOOL LEVEL. JUST GOOD COACHING.

OK look at MARYVILLE are they loaded with 4.3 guys NO but they seem to keep moving along, how many games have they won vs ALCOA which has way more talent. Im just tired of the BAIL-OUT ROUTINE that our city use every time the team loses. ALSO the team has been to the playoffs, in which they should, with 4 teams making it each year. ALL I ask is where is the vision for the team. NO more RIVERDALE GALLITAN, OAKLAND, yes I will compare W.C. to the top programs in the U.S. WE should hold those kids to a high standard they walk the hall ways at school. You guys are playing with kids futures, us as a city, the coaches, the parents. I PRAISE THOSE 35 KIDS THAT PLAY NOW. They watch tv ESPN games of the week, CSS and KIRK HERBSTREIT. Am I the only one who think those can go 8-2 with a top ten state ranking. As I was leaving the last home game vs L.C. I thought we had just as much as they did. Our young guys held up even though they are playing iron man. ALSO look at RIVERDALE when they were on top. FERNANDO BRYANT, ERIC LOCKE, DAVE THOMAS, ANTRON PEEBELS, GERALD GRIFFEN, TARON HENERY, ALVIN DUKE, GASTON MILLER, does that look like tons of D1 talent I almost forgot BRIAN DAVIS. With 1800 students we cant find at least 5 D1 prospects every 3 years. I havent seen the vision from the people up top. Another statement has to be made about local coverage. The DEKALB radio station was hyping there QB up like he was TOM BRADY. And all I asked was press cover more of those 35 players win or lose. I'll still be a fan not jump on the wagon. I guess I WILL SEE COACH RANKIN THIS YEAR AT STATE. THIS WILL HURT SOME OF YOU ASK THE BURRO COACHES ABOUT YOUR PROGRAM. Yes I agree, but where do we start, nothing has worked. Also the team that ended the streak was BELLVUE WASH with only 2 D1 prospects? So you are saying W.C. HAS NO D1 PROSPECTS. I went through workouts, but the team knew we had kids that could get us to state if they had played. Plus W.C. doesnt have a web page, I just want more coverage pee wee to high school. I just want the kids feel that if they play they will be apart something big in our city. ALSO does anyone remember our basketball team under coach BOBBY LUNA in the mid 90's no DI talent but those kids went out destroyed teams.

We already have had more coaches than the Oakland Raiders in the past few years,Im not big on the coach we have now but what can be done....

I've seen the play calling and yes I seen a 3rd and 20 dive play at mid field. I'd like to see the coaches go out swinging. If the coaches threw 25 and ran 25 times I'd be satisfied. I wouldn't care if they had five turnovers and lost 50 to 7, but go out swinging. Back to my point if you got a kid who's runs 4.4 and plays WR he's not going play after watching 50 fullback dives. LET ME SAY IT AGAIN - ITS NOT THE SYSTEM its mostly play calling agree. kids are not stupid they see whats going on. They have Northcutt, he has good speed, You have Thrower a good QB, if I can recall didn't he destroy RIVERDALE. If the head coach take the chains off what will happen then. Now you see, our program is not attractive, and plus the politics. Now take a kid who see's the fullback get most of the plays and is just a soph and play WR he's like, why play Im not going to get the ball. I just trying to get an understanding what can be done.

Thanks, to the true fans who have responded. Theres nothing racial about my point. I played for W.C. and did receive a football scholorship. My point is, why we can't win. IF any of you played you should be first to know the situation. 1800 students 35 football players????????. Our best kids never end up playing at the high school level, what's wrong with that picture. We haven't put a stacked team on the field 28 years. All I here is well the team is to young too slow ect; Thats why I made the DE LA SALLE reference to show you it can be done. I've got on my hands and knee's and begged kids to play when I was on the team. We as a county should do more for the kids who NOT playing. If we get 70 kids play that will help, we need to create stars in our city, so kids will play. Im just tired of the state of our beloved PIONEERS. Someone one tell me what should be done.

First, I just want to say the 80s are gone. There will never be another Jeff Womack fans, just let it go? As a kid growing up thats all I heard Jeff did this jeff did that. YOU PEOPLE, are dazed and confused. Now thats over, I just want to start talking about present day WARREN COUNTY FOOTBALL. Our city of McMinnville, is dying for a quality high school football program. Our local paper the Southern Standard puts drug dealers, rapist, and meth labs being raided every week, you would think thats all thats going on. Our sports page is horrible there is more things about UT and the TITANS, I couldnt tell you who's our best young talent, but I could tell you when PAMELA RODGERS next court date is. And YOU PEOPLE wonder why we can't win. We have local leauges and I don't see nothing about them in our paper. We need to start giving these young kids something to shoot for, they don't exist in the minds of our community. There needs to be buzz to get kids playing again. I know its hard to watch year in and year out but one day we will ring but it has to start with US. Let me say it again, the veer option will work W.C. fans, for people who don't know study, DE LA SALLE in CONCORD CALIFORNIA and PARKVIEW in La Grange GA. I know alot of people are upset with the head coach but I hate say he is slightly headed in the right direction. Once he figuers out the in and outs of system our team should put points on board. Flawless execution not athletes is how the offense works. Most schools ranked in top of national polls are not loaded with athletes. There are a few ex: LONG BEACH POLY, PRATTVILLE ALA, GLENNVILLE CLEAVLAND OHIO and some of the MIAMI area teams. If you look closely at each state champion this year in each state, you will see that most of teams are mostly consisted of white players. So there should be no excuses, WELL WE DONT HAVE THE ATHLETES. We have the kids to get the job done I just watched KYRIE HARRIS dominate coach THOMPSON d-line I think he's a D-1 talent and QB MICHAEL THOWER made some plays too, we need to wake up and give these the respect they deserve. Maybe one day in my lifetime we'll throw the politics out and just win, cause this is a reflection of us........

i guess head coach Chris Madwell was watching the lights sparkle, and he wasnt focused on coaching............

w.c didint attack, l.c. shot themselves in the foot with penalties and w.c. didnt take advantage. i guess w.c coaching staff was afraid of thompson. they were out coached. 100 dive plays and no pass plays no shotgun no threat good win l.c.......

w.c. has a good qb and i love the veer attack ,but with no short passing game, their plays take 2 long 2 develop thats why there is no protection . and running backs lined 4yards back when they should be 2 yards in that type of offense, they can fix these problems if the coach committs and strive 4 perfection. the offense is perfect 4 w.c. they dont look organized ,but fans of w.c. dont change your offense, when is the last time yall seen big runs by all the backs in the same game, but with simple changes w.c. they can beat l.c. falcon fans this is not the mid 90s....
