ive said this many times when franklin plays but bottom line is....franklin will get their points but will brentwood get theirs? both teams have strong offenses and defenses but the most consistant on offense throughout the year has been franklin. this will be a good game but brentwood will have to match franklins numbers.

ya there were....franklin gave up two fumbles and centennial gave up three interceptions. one of franklins TOs came when they were on centennials five and they hiked the ball without a runningback....refugee turned and there was noone to give it to...he ended up fumbling. that was costly cause it left the door open for a while. but yes CHS had a good D and there were a few TOs on both sides.

franklin's average is around 40.2 points/game...wasnt saying they did but i was saying that it is hard to stop an offense that is that hot. u cant deny that they are one of the best offensive teams in the state. thats not talkin em up....the numbers prove it. just my thoughts but check it out on the statsheets.

A couple of weeks ago i made a post that talked about respect. Basically, i said that respect is when others talk about you, not when you talk about yourselves. I and the rest of the players still hold to that and you will not see any trash talk by players on this site. If there is, I'll deal with it at practice. You can trust me on that one. So, that said, I'm am signing off for the rest of the week. Too much to concentrate on without having to mess with CoachT(even though it is a great site and we thank you for it sir). So, ya'll have fun posting and my next post will be after the game. Oh yeah, and one other thing... all of ya'll show up cause i think it will be one heck of a game. None of that blowout bullcrap.

the new coaching staff at Franklin has taken a team that has not broken 5-5 in the last about 6 seasons to being 7-0. i dunno much about other coaches but thought i would put it out as food for thought.

i agree, centennial played some good D but the reason FHS didnt run em outta the stadium was a combination of both D and stupid errors. Ex: franklin should have had seven more but ran a play 1st and goal from CHS five with ten players on the field (no runningback) which resulted in a fumble. CHSs D was good but there was no stopping an offense that puts up an average of 40 points a game. good luck with the rest of the season CHS.

Just wanted to say that Centennial played a great game. It was a fun one to play in and i appreciate ya'lls competitiveness. The trash talking was funny from both sides but there wasn't too much so I just sat back and laughed. Good luck to ya'll and i hope ya'll have a great rest of the year!

i havent followed fairview but ive heard awesome things and i just wanted to show my support for an improving program! good luck the rest of the season!

any info on mccallie?....are they any good or did BA just have a bad game?

good fight, good night. wes, you have to take in account that the rebels had an "off" offensive night...which is rediculous considering they still scored 28. defense looked good, offense dominated second half, but the score wasnt a good indication of how the game went. they should have had 14 more on the board. if their D plays like they did tonight and their offense has an "average" game (40 points)....then they should beat brentwood and have a good chance at the state title.

Franklin 28 Centennial 7 Any comments on the game, rivalry, etc.?

im sure everyteam in the state has experience in the rain this year so i dont think it will be a huge problem. however both teams will be at a disadvantage....franklin passes the ball more than many teams but centennial is a possession team which means they will be running alot of plays. either way i think both teams ought to be used to the dificult weather.

enough with this childish banter. tonight will be a good game...both sides will be fired up and ready to go but ill be anxious to see if the jitters from the pregame pub doesnt contribute to some turnovers on both sides. all that aside i think every advantage points toward franklin. stop the run and the game should be theirs. franklin will get their points but will centennial get theirs? only time is against franklin. if centennial can keep franklins offense off the field then they may have a snowballs chance in heck of winning tonight. u never know though, these rivalries can be surprising.

austin everson of brentwood is the best hands down as far as talent and future. on the other hand josh refugee fits his teams offense better than any other QB around. just my thoughts but franklin is averaging in the 40s in points/game.

there are a few rumors flying around. one is that the mascot will be changed to the "cardinals" and the other is that the name will stay and the logo will be dropped. its all pretty rediculous. anyways i dont think it will happen in the near future.

I dont know much about BA but between Riverdale and Franklin Id say Franklin.

yea that is what i would call the big boys cus they have only lost one game this season and they r 5-A. yall can talk the talk and walk the walk on lower class but what r yall ranked in 5-A and what r yall ranked n yalls region. so for fairview how can u talk and say u r the best n the county u r to scared to play any one n the county. so stop saying that u r cus your not. yea page is 2-3 for the season but they r 2-0 in are region. we the reason y we play better teams is to get better for are region and for the playoffs and yea u say page hasnt made it to the playoffs every year since 97 when they moved up to 3-A. boy u r so wrong cus since 97 page has been to the playoffs every year sinse then. what do u think are jv always does. u think they have there own coach and they get to practice bye there selfs to. WRONG they practice just long any other jv as scrub for the varisty. i cant help that they r just better then your jv. but i dont care about jv games. all i care about is doing what i do best and that is the best for my team and that is 120% Sweet merciful crap. But my only arguement is, why does everyone keep saying Page moved up to play with the bigger schools and what not? Page moved down from 4A a few years back when Centennial was built and dropped the enrollment to the 3A level. Page got pasted worse in 4A and started winning when they moved down. So lets be careful how we talk to the Yellow Jackets, even if you are so amazingly talented with a keyboard. Well said, but i was thinking he spoke along the lines of Dr. Seuss myself. Wait, Dr. Seuss actually made some sense!

Brandon Bornstein from Franklin....tall lefty with a gun....some work and this guy will be a good prospect down the road.
