  1. I heard Zion wasnt good at all.... who knows? Not a very well known school!
  2. 11-AAA #4 seed Franklin High School knocks off 12-AAA #1 seed Stratford in first round of region play at Antioch High School 79-75. The Rebels led for most of the game after John O'rourke got them started with 7 threes (6 in the first half) and 29 points. Big win for the Rebels. Questions or Comments on game or 11-AAA vs. 12-AAA matchup.
  3. I can't play Friday night.... got injured in the columbia game. I go to the doctor tomorrow. Why werent you at the game Tuesday FHSrebel?
  4. Gray is good...not as good as his cousin as ive had the opportunity to play against both. He is strong and can jump out of the gym but i dont think he plays to his potential...he could be really good. i dont know whats goin on with central, they just dont seem to play as a team. they are very athletic but not a good basketball TEAM. their offense is one pass and one on five...not very disciplined. anyways i hope to see them bounce back next year...i think they will, columbia has a good program and tradition.
  5. Centennial honorable mention? Theyre 3rd in their district...no no no
  6. Frankllin 66, Hickman Co. 48...i believe
  7. "G'town" has not played ANYONE...there is no question that Franklin has had a much much much stronger schedule and has proven themselves. "G'town" may be the best when compared to the teams they have faced so far. No doubt they are a good team, but they will get the chance to play with the big(or smaller, faster, more talented) dawgs tomorrow night. Perhaps they will impress us all and prove that they can play against real competition....perhaps not...only time can tell. "G'town" is comin' to FRANKTOWN and it won't be any walk in the park...this will be the first real game "G'town" plays. I can't wait to see what they do. I say Franklin's seniors have to much heart to lose this one at home. Buckle your seats less than 24 hours!! De La Salle/Evangel Christian game? Evangel outsized De La Salle all over the field and De La Salle took it to the house in a big way...Technique and speed over size...speed kills. Midstate!
  8. He is as good if not better than everyone says...I got the opportunity to play in a scrimmage against him in preseason...at Giles Co. He was amazing...the whole town showed up to watch him tomahawk on us. The truth be told he probably wasn't even trying...he just laughed the whole time. He IS as good as everyone says he is...can't wait to see where he goes after high school. He's big, strong, can jump outta Giles Co. and is awesome...go see him again if you get the chance.
  9. I think Franklin needs to stick with the stack I...they haven't been stopped yet in it. I unfortunately have to miss this game because Franklin also has their first basketball game and I have to play...no good. I think Franklin SHOULD win and I really hope they WOULD win so I can see them next week. Too many weapons, too much speed...Joe Bell kills.
  10. Congrats Falcons...Hopefully LC and Franklin both win next week for a rematch of the first reg. season game (38-33 @ the Pit) in the Blue Cross Bowl. Again congrats on a big win, good luck next week, and look forward to seeing you there!
  11. Prime Time...Germantown will not be in the State Championship game...sorry. Williamson Co. vs. Lincoln Co. End of discussion. No Prediction on BHS/ FHS...too close...whoever goes without a turnover will most likely win. BIG GAME, BIG EMOTION, BIG PLAYERS, BIG PLAYS!
  12. cneagles...Franklin, Brentwood, and Dickson Co. are three of the top teams in 5A right now. Centennial would have to be really good to be on top of this region. Just food for thought...very tough region.
  13. Wow...BGA at one...they are a very good team but I don't think you realize the difference in the divisions. Sure teams like CPA and BGA can claim state championships but I've seen the difference...and it's big. BGA has many talented players and has had some good years lately...I'm not trying to take away from them...but just making a point. 1) BA 2) Franklin 3) Brentwood 4) BGA 5) Centennial 6) Fairview 7) Page 8) Ravenwood I think Brentwood played poorly and Centennial played one of their best games when they faced. I don't think they are as evenly matched as the score would have us believe in the end...(I do however wish CHS had beaten them). I think Wilco will represent well in the state tournament this year.
  14. what does a new school have to do with anything? The team who wants it the most will come out on top! it will be a tough game... hope to see everyone out there!
  15. Franklin High and Centennial High
  16. There has been a lot of controversy over the rezoning of Williamson Co. schools. It mainly affects Centennial, Page, and Franklin...I don't think Brentwood gets touched...not sure. Any comments on how this will affect football in Williamson Co.?
  17. Brentwood played Ravenwood last week....I know Fugate is a good player but I could score 3 TDs on 5 carries against them...lol. However, good luck to Ravenwood they could pull off a couple upsets. I am biased and I am going to go with Franklin on this one...I have seen both teams play and Franklin has the upperhand all over the field. For BHS to have a chance they have to keep the FHS offense off the field and try to contain Franklin's explosive special teams. Kicking game could play a big part in this one...Franklin's kickers coming off a big game last week. I agree with a previous post that Van Horne and Moore are very good but Franklin has too many weapons. In response to a previous post, this year's Bruin team is not what it was last year...I have seen them several times. Not saying that they aren't good...but they aren't what they were. This is Franklin's year to bring home the bacon. No prediction...I think the actual game will be similar to the Centennial/Franklin game last week. Everybody come out, it will be a fun game. Good luck to both teams.
  18. Centennial has a few explosive players, Franklin has a team of them. Centennial is a good team that plays with a lot of heart, but is out matched and out coached. If Centennial doesn't keep Franklin's offense off the field its gonna be a long night. It will be an exciting game to go to, but I don't see it being too close. Watch out for the turnovers...big game....lots of nerves. Franklin special teams could blow it open. Good luck
  19. Ive had the opportunity to watch both teams this season. I saw CHS last week agains Brentwood (good game...take a knee, and punt for Pete sake) and Ive seen Franklin a lot this season. Franklin is better on special teams, both have explosive offense (slight upper hand going to Franklin), and Centennial's defense has been far more consistant (not necessarily better) than Franklin's this year. I think it will be a good game early but Franklin will pull away in the second half. I could be wrong but thats what I think after seeing both teams. Good luck to both teams it should be a fun game to attend.
  20. I believe it is the Tuesday Sept. 16th.... again at 7:00 at Franklin High
  21. Rebel27, am I missing something or did Chip actually compliment Franklin in an earlier post? The world must be coming to an end! And Lincolnstatman, I'm glad you didn't see the game against Columbia. It was not one of Franklin's shining moments. Fortunately they have the kind of coach that will correct that problem quickly. Look for a better defensive effort this week.
  22. All I know is that Henry Co. was ranked higher than Franklin in the region last year and we know what happened in that game. So to my Franklin guys, don't be looking ahead to Oakland. Finish this one off right.
  23. Just wanting to know.... what are everyones top five for this season? I know i should have made a new thread for this but it seems a lot of people have been in this thread and i wanted everyones opinion. If you want to transfer it to a new thread be my guest i just dont have time right now. At this time I am not able to tell my top five seeing that i havent gotten the chance to see any of the teams play. From what I can tell right now.... Hendersonville is a strong team as well as Farragut. Franklin will once again be a strong team. I wasnt to sure about Brentwood... at the katy Hunter tournament i wasnt able to see them play except for the 2nd half while they played Cordova. Brentwood was up by one and Cordova took over and won 3-1. Dont get me wrong Brentwood is a good team and i dont expect anything less than a hard game between Franklin and Brentwood. I just dont know exactly what to put about them. Cordova seems to be a strong team this year as well. Also, from what i have heard Centennial has stepped up and become one of the teams to beat this year. I guess we will see Thursday night. Expecting a very exciting game! I wasnt able to see Houston play. If anyone has any comments on this subject I am willing to listen. Good luck to everyone this year and if you could keep Callie in your prayers so that she can heal quickly that would be great!
  24. inot2bad...you said that despite LCs size, they wouldnt be able to handle the speed of Riverdale. Well i agree with most of your posts but Franklin is surely just as fast as Riverdale if not faster and LC came away with a victory against them opening night. I dont think LC will have a problem with Riverdale...i could be wrong but i dont see LC having a challenge until state. just tossing it out there...good luck to both teams
  25. hardball i think you forgot Franklin's saying.... the will to win cannot be beat! Believe me we have the will to win. If you think the defense isnt ready to compete thats your own opinion.... but for me playing defense most my life i see talent and the girls are really talented from what i see. True we dont have the speed like we did last year but it doesnt bother me..... dont under estimate Franklin's defense. See everyone at Katy Hunter tournament!!!!! We dont play till Saturday but we leave Friday.... I wish everyone good luck and your in my prayers!
