Who would be the best coaches of sweetwaters past? Doops and Greene. Should have hired Martin

You guys screwed up when yall let Mike Martin go to Meigs..Roades was a joke, Mike should have been hired after him.

Some Tiger faithful told me at work the other day that there was more than just one coach leaving after this year. Does anyone have any better info into that?

Great Point, Mr. Greene did geat things at Meigs.

I talked to a former meigs player the other day, he said that most of Meigs athletes are not playing football that they would rather concentrate on basketball. I dont believe Ive ever heard of a really good mens basketball team from meigs county except for the ones with wilson and powell. And im sorry that just doesnt sound right coming from meigs, just dont seem like meigs has the tough kids they used to have. Anyone agree or disagree with that statement?

Those two coaches are as old as me. The game has passed them by, the only reason they were good is because of Mike Wilson anyway. Im sure the guy was talking about the 95 team... And there were only three coaches for the 95 team, but 25 playmakers..

most of our line only play football so our line will get alot stronger during the offseason usually skill positions play more sports... but just pray thats about all you can do look for meigs to do better next year got very few starters coming back but alot of people that played a bit coming back... How many senior lineman did you guys lose? And the last statement about doing better cause you have very few starters coming back..What does that mean..That yall will be better cause you lost alot of people that started for past few years. Didn't yall get worse this past year will the almost the same starters from the year before? And how can the defense not be as bad as people think? What did yall average giving up this year compared to years before that?

I was talking to a guy I work with at Mayfields (best ice cream in the southeast) and he said that the staff didn't get along very well this season. That is why one coach left early and and thats why Coach D is heading out as well.

I'm an Athens native and I recieve the DPA daily, Ive enjoyed reading about the Tigers for quit some time now. The thing that i have noticed from the years past to now is the points the tigers are giving up. Meigs is a small school that has always played with pride and passion and thats been shown by there defense. There seems to be none of that anymore, and from my experience once you lose pride and passion its hard to find again. I hope yall can turn it around..
