Say what you want Memphis, but I have listened to DB posters down played Maryville for years now by saying that they wouldn't win all those games in your league. Well... time to put your money were your mouth is. By the way... no grudges here. I just think it's time for DB to give credit where it is due. This whole experience is going to be a BIG eye opener for DB fans, players, and coaches. It was for us. You are about to see a REAL football tradition... and they even have visitors stands that you can actually see the game from. If DB were playing anyone else I wouldn't be right there behind them to represent the NET. But I just think it's time to give credit where credit is due. By the way my team is Tennessee High... 27 to 12 WINNERS over DB this year. A lot of people,not just DB fans thought that Maryville was overrated and would't have sucess stepping up to 6A. They R proving them wrong. Maryville is a power house. This years DB team has no chance against them.Past DB teams maybe. It will take more than CS to run over Maryville.They R not like a central or volunteer team. Hope CS is alright after last night,DB will need him next week.The big 8 conf. is weak.Hope The Vikings can hold their own. Easy Cap,before we become the hated.

Congrats. to the Vikings. What a game Harmon had.The recievers did a great job catching the ball,and making yds. after the catch.When the score got 24-20 I did get a little worried. (a little ) Hats off to Boone.Never gave up and played good.Nothing to hang ur head about. A friend texted me from the Hill and DB game and said it was boring with no offense from either team,that was surprising. Sure glad that I am going to miss the crow sauce this week. Bring on South. I would hold my hype down as much as possible etathlete. South may end up being the "team around here this year". They have so much crow to eat at South that they may be saving some for the Tennessee High folks. U R right WACO,South could be the team if they really wanted it bad. MR. Obama, I will have to agree with WACO.U missed the point. UR right on about CS going over 200 yds. in the first half in the McMinn CO. game but he could have played in the second half,he wasn't hurt/injured that bad.He was working out on the sidelines. GC decided he had the game in the bag,and didn't need CS So DB lost,because lack of play calling,period. The intentional holding plays that DB called to HOLD EM OFF failed. Whats UR Point? DB is having a off year,that happens. THS is the team around here this year.Get over it. Give DB a can of corn for playing a tough schedule as BatMan and Robin keeps telling us about. Good post. But you have people on this thread saying what a tough schedule DB has played. Take away the Farragut,and Clinton games and you R back in the same thing minus ,Sevier Co.,Bearden,William Blount,South Doyle,and Heritage for a few GOOD teams DB played in the past.DB has not improved as the year progressed.For that they get a can of corn.

Saturday on the tv,2 HS teams from Miami Fla,were playing. Miami Central,and Miami Northwestern. 21 of the players of both teams combined,were on the ESPN Top 150 HS players list. The only white person on the field or on the sidelines that I saw was an ( 1 ) official. That in its self speaks volumes of what colleges are looking for. Not being biased or prejudice,just stating fact.The best running backs are and going to be,you know. Look at the NFL.Height doesn't matter if you got the jukes and the speed. Thats life. Just enjoy the ride.

I haven't been right on a score yet so I say Vikings by at least 40 or better.

Heard at the game last night that CS had been offered full ride from Clemson already. That's big if true. He is a good runner,he just had a bad game last night.At least he didn't run over us like he did South. I got to ask Computsman,were was Clint Phillips,and Ty Garvin at that night,DB vs South game ?

Geez.... PS Boone is nowhere near as good as they think they are.....listen, we are 6-1 and have our schedule and play our games. We were good enough to beat Seymour, Cherokee, North, Central, Science Hill.....and DB. We took South to overtime. No Boone fan (wait I take that back one comes on here and states we are the greatest...not me) thinks that we are the cream of the crop. We do believe in working hard and taking what we are dealt and then...whatever happens happens. If we beat volunteer, beat crockett. and beat TH 3-0 then still...we would hear that the kids overlooked Boone and it wasn't their best game and...excuses excuses. TN High may beat us and if it happens it happens...but Boone would still be 8-2 and at the end of the day... we won some games and played some close ones. Get over your school's history and start living in the now. You got beat by Boone and TN High...live with it. What is all the ranting and ravings going on about Boone on a THS vs DB thread ? Former blazer I have to give Boone credit U all have a good team this year.But The Hill and DB are down this year. Beating them both doesn't mean a thing right now. Gilligan will be gone in another year.HillToppers hate to lose,just like DB fans,so feel good about ur team while U can. But not being arrogant as some say about others ,THS is good. Can't wait to show U.

Congrats to the Vikings.That was probably the best first half I have seen by any Viking team in the past.Tallman,what a load. Hope Sheppard gets healthy quick. DB didn't give up and worked hard in the second half. I believe they were still exhausted from last weeks win. DB needs to regroup and win out. Haven't been in that kinda downpour in a while. With rain suits on, we were still soaked.

If DB wins, surely they can win with class. Act like you have won a game before. If you are as good as you think you are, then why act so suprised? AND, don't get kicked out of the game for sportsmanship when you are winning! THAT is classless, maybe that is deserving of a letter to editor? One week you are on your backs kicking and crying because you lost and the next week you are taking cheap shots. As much of a rivalry as Skunk's boys had, they never got kicked out. I have to go with the Vikings this week even though they will have their hands full with CS and the Watson blitz.DB seem to move the ball outside on pitch outs to CS last week that worked good for them. If Stubbs can slow CS down and contain the blitz it will be a good game for the Vikes. THS 30 DB 24

As people have stated on another thread,DB looked relaxed last night. Roop throwing a td pass to Steele jump started them and got the running game going.If DB can play THS like they did against South,it will be for the conference title.The Vikes are gooooood this year.They stared slow at Volunteer,but got on track.Look for a exciting game.

You are right WaCo. Since this morning several posts that I remember have been deleted. Same thing happened last year when South lost to Greenville.Posts started vanishing off the thread. One of the South faithful must be a moderater.

Whow! Listen to bits and pieces of the game while watching the Vikes run over Volunteer. Sounds like DB practiced hard,and were prepared. Probably tired of the burn down the tepees,and bury them while thier down crap.
