They might be down, but Pickett Co. will pull it out. You hide and watch. /ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

this wasn't a pretty game at ALL! but congrats to the lady dawgs for pulling this one out of their rearends. they looked tired or lazy....not sure which. Roach played well as usual and kirk had a really good game. she is getting better every game...too bad she is a senior this year.

a well played game by clay county...we should have won by at least 15, but messed around and let the commanders come back. caleb lynn did have a breakout game....he was on fire considering this was his first time starting. Shawn garrett is too much for anyone in the region to keep up with, when he gets a fast break just put two on the board. Adams also had a good game, and I agree he is becoming more of a threat from the perimeter. clay county's defense was pretty tough to deal with. Was glad to see the bench step up and help in the absence of scott brown. we are really a well-rounded team this year...knight had a fantastic game two games ago with 16 points and dale and edwards are always a threat. and about the mamma comment earlier....we love our mammas...and yeah they get crazy...and sometimes a little embarrassing, but at least they are there supporting their children and clay county sports. you guys are just jealous because our fans are louder than your fans

Clarkrange @ Clay County (Tues. Dec. 9th)
northface replied to TopDawg83's topic in Girls Basketball
thanks for those stats topdawg. i think the key to this game will be tight defense from clay county. look for freshmen roach and ogletree to help out with that. i also think that outside shooting will be a factor (kerr, roach, key, s. ogletree) i predict a very tight first half, everyone knows how much energy is always in the dawghouse...it has always been that way...especially back when it was Celina High school. i am looking for a high quality game here, but i do have to give the edge to clarkrange. but they will have to play a solid game b/c clay county has been playing better every game. this could be the night for an upset! -
Prayers For Hickman County Boys Basketball Player
northface replied to HCFlight's topic in Boys Basketball
We just played hickman co. not two weeks ago in the cannon co. tourney. our hearts and prayers go out to the families and friends. from clay county high scool -
Clay county should win. they have won every game i have seen them play, but i have only been impressed at one of those games. they get a little wild sometimes but they are my favorite with the home court advantage
-
yeah and great defense from clay county. nice win dawgs.
-
how did clay county play? i didn't see this game.
-
i have seen roach and ogletree play and i am very impressed with their all around games. they can shoot, handle the ball, and play tight defense. who are some other freshman girls across the state that are making headlines?
-
yeah clay county played some pretty mean defense against the tigers. it stood out to me more than their offense. and they are pretty good on fast breaks
-
i agree...i don't think there will be an upset this year. Clay County lerned their lesson last year. it should be a pretty easy win for clay county. ......revolution...cool name
-
I agree celinafan....it looks like the bulldogs will win this game. ha ha. I just hope it's the clay county bulldogs....and it will be!
-
season opener tonigth against Grordonsville. Should be a really good game. gville just lost 1 player....i think. prediction: Clay County by 8
-
who is giving out free poopcorn?
-
wow you are getting really specific there "iammcloven". i hope you are right though. i agree about the bench points and rebounds. ....and Dale is gonna officially breakout? ha ha ha can't wait to see that
-
ok...that may be true, but all I am saying ....again......is play the ones that GET THE JOB DONE.....i don't care who they are.
-
i agree here...i think people overlook scott brown sometimes...maybe b/c he is a football player too...not sure...anyway, he is a very solid player and is usually worth at least ten points in a game, and he is a great defensive player too. he adds a lot to this clay county team. coach edwards has a fairly solid b team that he subs in (pay attention to #11 adams. he is a good shooter from the perimeter) i can't wait for tuesday night. to be truthful, no one knows what is going to happen. come to the game...there will be lots of excitement in that gym.
-
i agree with you titanfan...the rest of the team needs to step it up and help or they will have a hard time all season....there is a lot of talent and i can't wait to see a game when they are all playing to their full potential.
-
the coach needs to play the players who get the job done. If that is varsity, play varsity, if it is freshmen, play them.
-
it was really ugly at 1st. but clay county pulled it together in the 3rd and finally hit some foul shots. the freshmen emma ogletree and sydney roach looked pretty good...and allie brown.
-
clay county by 10-15. look for a good show from senior nathan knight
-
mr adams did have a good scrimmage that night. he seems to have gained some confidence. maybe he will get some floor time if he keeps it up. i was thinking the team looked a little clumsy out there in the scrimmage, but it's probably just b/c two of the starters have been in football and only practiced maybe twice at the most before they played. i think the hall of fame game will be a good indicator of how they are gonna play together.
-
Clay county SHOULD win by 10 - 15 pts, if they play good team ball, which is critical for this team. in addition to the top players, the bench looks really good. watch joe adams and scott brown this season, they may be a secret weapon
