Matt's offer was at first of year and offer was later pulled. My point was Colton was the starting tailback now gone for the year and lot of other starters are sophomores believe this would be key to your returning talent. Not being negative wish kids and coaches the best , sorry I seem to rub you the wrong way.

Colton has been out for the year since the first game with shoulder injury, receivers are sophomores and Matt did well but never met level everyone wanted for him. Donny is out of real play makers this year, very young team with a lot of work to do.

As i have said several times it is my belief results would be the same no matter who is at the helm and yes the talent level is way off ( as i have been saying and you just igonre and say i am blaming it on the kids) and Craig would tell you that. I thought a 500 year would be a sucess for this team ( not sure that is in the cards now). Donny has alot of work to do and he knows it, can't do everything in one year. Think it Craig came in 2005.

Believe you are the confused...hard to believe...embarrassing..HA.Yea the last two games were hard to watch, but thats sports.

Casual observation i can see how you say this but to have a sucessful program quickly ( as you referenced ) you need good leadership from the top ( which he does not have) strong AD ( which he does not have) and good returning talent ( not this year). It will take 3 years for the program to be back ( given he gets that much time) in contention ( just my opinion). I know you are going to say the change was not needed and he is the reason for a bad year, but i believe this was coming even if the Bear came in and took over. I believe Donny will be good for the team given time so enjoy the down year or two.

Ok I have riled you, made you want to spit, now you want me to grow some ....try going back and READ my posts, you are just sore that I won't say anything on these boards (which I said were my opinions only) and you are not the all knowing long time FHS supporter. Sorry I upset you, did not mean to demean any past coaches or players ( not sure where that came from) you can choose to read anything into what I said I suppose but it was not my intent. There were some old issues ( in my opinion only) that are gone now and for the betterment of the kids and the program that simple,given the way words are twisted or changed here is why I would not go further and it really does not matter anyway. Again sorry to rile you up, been following FHS football since the 50's and am very aware of history. I know some of the other much smarter people on here will attack this post also for some reason so let me go ahead and apologize now. This is not what high school football discussions should spawn but guess this is the world we live in

Wow guess I can't say anything here without getting every word split apart, no not what I said at all. I am talking about now, sure there has been great memories in the past. Don't think you are just curious, just want to pick like others here. Sorry I posted at all.

On this forum...I will pass. It is in the past and should stay there. I think things worked out best for the kids and that is all that really matters. There will be growing pains for sure ( like now) but I hope young men will have fond high school memories and learn to be men.

Inside knowledge is your words, and for some reason you think I am Marshall...no I am just who I stated earlier an old fan of several schools and enjoy high school sports and happen to be friends with several coaches in the county. I have been in Franklin my whole life and have followed sports here for decades, if that makes me arrogant then guilty as charged. It is clear you hate anything or anyone connected with Franklin and that is your right so I will let it go.

What am i defending? They are friends and have been for years,( no tie to program other than a old guy who likes high school sports) not sure what your problem is with that, but glad you are amused. Think it will take Donny more than half a season to do anything with the program but you seem to have declared him a failure already, think that shows how much experience you have with any athletic program. I am merly giving my opioion as you are so guess we will not ever see things the same. Good luck to you and whomever you support.

I tried to answer in previous posts but you will only repeat the same thing over and over. Have you ever been involved first hand with any football program for any length of time? My point has been you do not have a clue of what was going on in the past and Craig would be having the same issues this year. I am not blaming the kids it is just a fact of football life you have down periods with talent., i am sure Donny is shouldering plenty of blame, but again you do not know what is truly going on. I truly believe Donny is good for the program but most importantly he is good for the young men no matter what the win loss record. By the same token I believe Craig is good for Hilsboro and those young men.

Doubt you know what was really going on inside the program before the change. Both past and present coaches are friends of mine but a change needed to be made for the good of the program and i believe given time it will be proven to be a good change. You compare past sucess ( which Donny would have if given equal talent) to now and it is just not the same group of young talent there presently. If you ask Craig he would tell you the same thing about the current talent, all programs go up and down. By the way, far from a Democrat.

You asked a question and i gave my view on the question, ( and i am not a coach just a fan ) won't make the mistake of answering a question from you again. Thought is was a fair question, but you just wanted to start something I have better things to do.

New coach,new system,very low on talent this year(fact that been coming) very young team with sophomore qb, about what should be expected considering everything . Given a few years Donny will have a good program, nowhere near the talent of recent years.

I am not insulting anyone, it is a fact. Donnie and Craig are friends and it has been known for several years this year would be a down year as far as talent ( based upon last several years), ask them. You do not know these men nor the programs so go ahead and make some more noise to make yourself feel better. All programs go up and down, FHS is down but Donnie is the right man for this time in history. What is your problem with Donnie? Do you know him, ever had a conversation with him? Ok your turn to show all how wise you are, i am done.
