  1. ugh jeez... you just continue to make us look terrible... for anyone wanting to know who people from catholic are that don't say stupid things, it is scottA11, irishbball, happyhour22, Euler, and myself. And i might have forgotten someone from the list. There aren't many serious catholic posters though. Don't take these kids seriously...
  2. Is this a joke.... get off here. You make the school look bad and you are getting into stuff you shouldn't get into in the first place. How stupid are you going to feel if Catholic loses? You are going to look terrible and make Catholic as a whole look classless. At least recognize that they are 4-0 and destroyed a team we just stuck with in the preseason. They have athletes, a competitive D, and an offense that you have to be on top of your game to stop. If Catholic comes out thinking they have this game in the bag they will lose, I'm serious. Webb is no team to overlook. Tre' leads the team in tackles and isn't a "huge" linebacker, but he must be doing something right out there. Ignore that guy...
  3. HAHA so this is why coacht is fun. I'll tell you who I am. At least I'll tell tre waters when i see him next. I don't play, I'm not even a part of the football team. I don't get on here to start crap, just to tell it like it is. so on that note... farragut did not own Catholic-if you consider a one score game with Catholic out gaining them by 30 yards by putting up 450 nearly with williamson right at 300 and cozart with 100. I don't understand how in any book that is considered owning someone. didn't ponzurick "own" one of you all at that game? As I remember it, it was pretty clear cut who won. ps. 7 in a row. That's owning someone.
  4. they do have a good D. Maybe not best in the state, they've blanked an unproductive halls team and several others-don't get me wrong they are good. It's going to be a lot harder than 2 years ago over at webb, ill tell you that. The blance brothers are both good athletes, but we have some athletes of our own. I'm not here to BS everyone and say we're going to kill webb or webb is going to kill Catholic, but honestly neither team really knows what the other has coming.
  5. Webb is DII. Catholic is 5A. surprisingly, these two teams used to play together in DII. but since, catholic has moved to 3A and then 5A with an enrollment of about 650. Webb should have a pretty similar enrollment. a very long rivalry and webb has dominated overall but catholic is unbeaten in the last 7 years. Supposedly the two "richest schools in knoxville" taking on each other. But you could make arguments for farragut, CAK and maybe grace as being up there. Money is probably the last reason to come though. It's always an awesome game and Webb has a very realistic chance of winning this year.

  7. Undefeated Spartans vs. reigning state champs and #2 in 5a. Comments on the game?
  8. And when is the clinton match up? I might be at that game. And i'll be cheering for the mavs if i do.
  9. I was hoping I'd get you on here. And AC doesn't recruit anymore. Coach Downs is a respectable man and coach. But coach Guinn... I thought it was all cleared up! He did. Michael White is not from anywhere near anderson Co! But it doesn't matter, the past is past. People have recruited and been blamed for recruiting but most of the time it isn't true. We can't give scholarships or benefits to any players who come here besides a good, safe environment at our school. It costs money, we can't satisfy anyone's fiscal needs. Webb is just a mile across Cedar Bluff And too bad the AC vs. Catholic "rivalry" has to end. I mean in baseball and volleyball its a shame, but we just got the football one started! How is AC doing this year oppressed? I haven't kept up with them this year. And wow, i just re-read my earlier post and it did sound really cocky... sorry i was just saying that for the majority, its an excuse or a misconception about why a team is good.
  10. It was a must win and the patriots pulled through! 7-3? I have NO details on the game. PEOPLE! Enlighten me!
  11. They should want to mash us because we recruit? Hmm... is this another screen name for oppressed? Haha irishbball knows what I'm talking about. It's always the same case though... Schools that are inferior to the other teams complain that they are cheating/recruiting. Its always that way. It's whats happening to Clinton right now, oppressed has always said it (which makes for good conversation) everyone says farragut baseball does it, (Anderson county baseball actually did do it) Maryville has been accused multiple times, Alcoa has been, Catholic has been. Its not a new trend. It's just an excuse for losing. When you can show me proof that Catholic has contact with kids before they come to school and tell them they want them to play at catholic or give them benefits or scholarships or any other absurd thing, i will turn my own school in to the TSSAA for you. Oh, and did I mention there is a whole topic dedicated to this discussion on the Coach T board?
  12. I'd say everyone here at catholic feels the same way about coach pemberton. He took off for another job but it was not until after he had left his mark on the program. His mark was a little larger than Meadows over at WB, but he was here for what? 7 years? He brought Catholic out of the nothingness pretty much. I'm sure that Catholic would face the same drive and motivation if they were to play West Laurens HS on friday. Maybe even more. For Meadows, it was a better job opportunity, more money, and an overall different atmosphere. He was inheriting a winning program with athletes. I don't see him leaving for any other school any time soon. (Maybe that's what they said everywhere else) but for real, how could you leave Catholic? It was a better move for him personally and financially. It just makes sense. I do feel bad for WB, but coaches come and go. It could have gone more smoothly, sure. As for froshman or whoever you are, what are you trying to do? I hope the pin those two things up in every single locker at the KCHS lockerroom. I hope they take it personally.
  13. what? Did I miss something? what is according to Luke Mishu? And are you asking about SM's dad and press box? I do not know the Scott Meadows story involving his dad in the press box. It is somewhat irrelevant from the William Blount Vs. Catholic topic unless we want to get started with the low blows. However, I was answering the question from Starsnbars. Mr. Meadows is coaching Catholic's kickers. Luke Mishu said that in the radio interview he got for being the player of the game against AE. 3-3 on fgs.
  14. according to Luke Mishu on his radio interview the other night, SM's dad?
  15. I believe he will be able to play the rest of the year with a brace.
  16. uh oh, more of the same!!! An overwhelming majority against the Irish. Since last year before the second round of the playoffs, Catholic has been picked to lose. The move up has not helped at all
  17. I go to school with him and honestly, he doesn't tell anyone anything. I'm not sure why. I don't know if he's looking at any Catholic schools but he certainly has the grades to go to any D-1 school.
  18. That is very similar to what his situation is according to my friends out there. I hear he has stretchmarks on his shoulder from where it has come out so many times in the past few games.
  19. No positives on the situation. And most likely he can go with a brace, but MRI scheduled and I'm not sure what all the diagnosis will be. If he does play, I'm sure he will have to battle pain. Jenkins is a tough kid though, I've met and watched him several times. Great kid. And yes I have wondered many times, such a big school, why so few people?
  20. Broussard might go somewhere for basketball instead of baseball. I'm not really sure. He has a lot of options that are going to open up for him. He's probably the best high school athlete I've ever seen. You do not see too many 6'3" 175 kids playing catcher and being as good as he is at it. On the court though, he's just as good. So no one really knows. I'd love to see him playing college baseball because he has enormous potential. Imagine if he just focused on baseball instead of playing basketball year-round (with the exception of spring baseball) He could be dangerous.
