Getting rid of Coach Britt was the biggest mistake they can make.Now those poor kids are paying for the adults actions.The games I watched made me sick to my stomach. I really wish the best for those kids but this Coach has cut his own throat already. He has a Junior running the show and spouting orders to the players,the same Junior strikes out and throws a temper tantrum and completely shows how classless he is, to be held to NO accountability. I have heard he has "quit" several times and comes and goes as he pleases during practice, again held to "NO" accountability. He pitches one of the most pitiful displays of pitching and is revered as a "ace". Now with all this in play, other players are dismissed off the team for minor infractions, and held to it. The team sees this and it causes major problems on the team.I am sure you have seen this before. They are in a bad way right now, they started with about 30 kids and lost almost half from what I can tell. East is very limited in talent as well , they have maybe 4 kids who would actually make a real high School team if they were actually competing for positions on a roster. All this and an apperance of " who cares" by the Coach, by allowing this makes me also think that this is yet another one and done Coach. Just sit back and observe, I dont think I am too far off in my assesment.

I feel sorry for you Mr. Strongside, you just dont understand.

I have to agree partially with Eagleheart, evidently "strong side" had not been at the game,or I do not believe he would be standing by Phillips. Phillips is a "moron" plain and simple. We all seen it numerous times, including Coach King. I stand behind Coach King, yes he made some big mistakes, especially in the Hickman game and Marshall County game, ,he seems to try to make everyone happy which is wrong.,but look what he is dealing with. I think this guy is stuck with what he has for now, my son likes him, and I feel we are moving in the right direction, it is all not going to be peaches and cream, I think there are some issues that will eventually work its way out of the system, Strongside.we love our kids, we are just pointing out some things that need attention.

Go East Eagles....! My son is a sophmore this year and we are so proud. Lets cheer for them again this week!

On the contrary...... It appears he is very disgruntled and does not like the Administration or the way things are going..So a simple question was asked? Sounds like to me he needs to move on . Maybe all you other East High School Coaches who are on here with your little support group should get back to class. Oh .. I forgot . I have to copy and paste a copy of baldies dissatisfaction letter to Dr. Nash.

I doubt Coach Harris will become the High School Coach, ( but if he does he will start with 75 kids and keep 75 kids,and win games) I personally would like to see the Def. Cord. get the job.But who knows,this is a big soap opera. It really kinda chaps me that all the fighting and bickering and complaints to get Jones ousted, he was forgiven and allowed a chance to make things right,tells all the kids he is not going nowhere,tells the kids he made some mistakes and he has learned,we are all human,we will move on., made amends with the Middle School folks,Starting on a new clean slate.Got the team/community back with full support , Now he quits(yes it is true he quit). Go figure?

Boy you are so misguided. Coach Harris would not want anything more than to see the kids who he has coached thru Middle School be successful. I know that he would of liked to see the Coach of East High succeed as well. He was happy with his own program and things were fine , But East Coach started taking shots and trying to impose his will on Coach Harris program.... Anybody that has any dignity would stand up to this idiot and draw the line.......... But as for East Coach,after the first year.........everybody had some concerns and questions. Second year some bad things started happening.....and only got worse.Lots of people in East are very unhappy, and I am sure the School has been getting calls since season #1 , but then this guy starts on the Middle School program... Downing it. DUH???? what is he supposed to do? Something had to be done. The Supt. Dr. Nash is involved now so I hear. I am confident he will give this Coach a fair shake, if he gets fired........He deserved it.. Personally i think he will give this man another year to straighten his act up and start being fair to the kids as well as himself, if no improvement. He is gone. Oh and Centerville............. ha. East will beat you this year as bad as they want...........from here on out.

Evidently you have been way far away. Lots of stuff happening. NEWS FLASH . East High School Coach ( forgot his name) attacks the middle School Program....... I just hope he makes his decision for the better and leaves........ dont stay where you are not wanted,better yet....hated. Common sense says..... "if you are overwhelmingly disliked. You have no ( or a very few ) supporters , your outside issues are effecting any ability ,if there was/is any to coach, 97% of your team literally hates you" , it is time to move on. A smart person learns from his mistakes.... a stupid person learns the hard way.

This is so sad. Loss of life is hard to deal with especially our kids........... prayers sent.

Update. East Hickman beats Hamshire by 40 points 43-83 . Brandon Tidwell gets game high coming off the bench 18 points , Cedric Corbin gets 12 points off the bench, Douglas Young gets 4 points off the bench. I hate to say anything about any kids, but you want to put names on here so the one you speak of got 4 points . Nobody said he was a bad player????? he actually is a very good player, and a very nice kid. why you so defensive? But fact is, he has no buisness starting in front of these other 3 , plain and simple, any of the previous named 3 are without question , hands down better players. Just my opinion, you dont like it , go away. It does not take a lot of observation to see what is going on. Oh well life goes on...... i'm happyy. As for the game , it was a win for east so we are happy, running a full court press when your up by 35 points in the last quarter did not make many feel so good, it was a tiny 1 -A school, if it was a 3-A school or Centerville..by all means........keep pounding. It was kind of classless in my opinion.....................well what do you think?

Well they got beat by a team named Creekwood, they are in dickson. first game at home, We have a real big guy who did not do too much, and we have a sophmore starting in the lineup, to be in the starting group he looked like he had no buisness in there, they said he was a shooter but maybe made 4 points? i heard it was the coaches kid so that explains it. . Lots of mistakes made cost them the game, one kid was hitting the 3 points but no defense was being played. But it was not a blowout,

My son is a freshman this year so we really dont know too much about what this year is all about. But will give game scores and updates.
