What are you talking about? Anyway...having played both these teams, I think that they match up very evenly. In my opinion CAK is more skilled, but not as quick as LC. Both games that I played against them were on an awful football field, so I think LC will have an advantage using the space even though their home field is so bad. LC 2-1.

CA didn't outplay anyone. They scored a single goal on a flukey breakaway and spent the rest of the game chasing and packing everyone in the box. It's much easier to defend a 50 x 60 box as opposed to a 60 x 70 box which is what a real soccer field should be (half the field), and you still didn't do a good job of that. We didn't put the ball in, but you didn't keep us from that.

Exactly right. Without a doubt, this was one of the most talented teams from CCS ever. Every starter was quality, but we just didn't show up for the second half against CSAS, and the whole game against CA. To lose when the other team only gets around two shots is terrible, especially when you take at least twenty. Good luck to LC and CAK tonight. You're both good teams and I enjoyed playing both teams.

How about you give a very good CAK team some credit, and not try to cheapen their deserved and, in my opinion, expected win. Granted you went to state, but look at your regular season, district, region, and sectional games. Except for our tournament, you never played anybody good. How could you expect coming in to state that you would be ready to play after beating a team in sectionals 7-0. I know that's completely out of your teams' control, but your regular season schedule isn't. Also, where are you going to college?

How about none of the above? Our coach is one of the best in the state, and could easily be a college coach (he is an assistant during the fall). Ego was also not a problem, because losing to CSAS was very humbling to all of us. There is also no lack of talent in our first 13 players. We have 3 seniors playing college ball next year, and three others who could have if that's what they had chosen to do. We had two sophomores who both started last year as well, who will be first team all-city at some point. It was simply an inability to finish and stay composed when we got inside the box. CA was chasing the ball the whole game, but when we got near the goal, we either sprayed it over the top or hit it directly at their keeper. I don't know where you are from, but talk to the people from CAK (who we beat), LC (who we tied on the same day we beat CAK), or FRA (who we lost to 1-0 on an own goal) and they will tell you were a good team who just couldn't get going late in the season like we had earlier on.

CA is not good, period. The CCS-CA game could have easily been 5-0, 5-1. CCS and LC played to a very even, back and forth 0-0 tie earlier this year, on the same day that CCS beat CAK. CA made it to state, but it's not at all surprising that they got blown out by a far superior LC team.

How were the parents acting obnoxiously, and which game was it that you saw? If you're from CAK, your parents also are obnoxious, because our parents heard one dad in particular watching the CCS-LC game who repeatedly said "Grab and tackle, grab and tackle, that's all they know how to do". Anybody who has played us or seen us play knows thats not our style in any way. Careful about predicting your own team to win state... Cambo has talked smack on here about CCS, just not that post. Also, stating that CCS is much better than Boyd is not trash talking. True we should have been able to put teams away that we should have, but I was referring to a post where somebody said that CA would bring the same kind of game that CCS would. That's just not the case. They won, and deserved it. No excuses, from here. It was as simple as us not being able to score.

Haha...I know exactly who you're talking about. In one of our games this year, he made a very questionable free kick call at the end of the game. As soon as the game ended I was talking to the linesman about how bad the call was, when he walked up to me and said "What, do you have a problem with me?" He's a big man, and I wouldn't like to see any soccer player get into with him, but this game last night, was not the first time he's acted that way.

Wow, cambo, you're a truly loyal Boyd player/fan who needs to accept the fact that your team was bad, and quit hating on teams who are much much better than you.

It's difficult to score one goal against them because their field is 25 yards too short, and they packed nine guys in the box, and stretched one man. I guess they did what needed to do to win, but they still gave up about 20 shots in the second half defending the way that they did.

Wow, not true. CA was completely dominated last night. They won fair and square and you won't hear any excuses from anyone on CCS here. However, they were outshot about 30-5, we just could not put the ball in. Possession was at least 70-30 in favor of CCS. The other three top teams in state (LC, CAK, and FRA) will all tell you, as they've said all year on here that were a good team, maybe the best, this year. There's no one to blame but ourselves for our last two losses, but everyone should know that the losses were flukes, and in both instances the better team did not win.

Mtnman, are you sure that it was #3, Trevor Owens, who was taunting people from Fairview. I've played against him at least 10 times, and with him in several club tournaments, and have never one time seen or heard him talk trash to people. Others on CSAS would definitely stoop to that level, but please confirm that it was really Trevor being a jerk. Also since you have seen alot of Chattanooga soccer, who was the center ref last night? If you know his name, that's not neccessary, but a physical description would be enough for anyone concerned to find out who it is.

...convenient isn't it that you don't mention last year...that says nothing about this upcoming game, but neither does mentioning any of those games before. Let's just play the game and let our play do the talking. For the record, I am the first and only CCS person to say anything on this thread, and this will be my only post on here.
