  1. I think I might know who this is, and the interest in Chattanooga and Knoxville sort of confirms that. If it is who I think it is, is year-round club coaching not a good possibility?
  2. Falcon, do you have any upset picks?
  3. Wow, if he develops well, he will be a really good player. Our coach said before the game that if they were going to be able to beat us, he would be the one to do it. So, he's earned the respected of a very experienced and good coach, and although it was a cheap build-up to his goal, he did what he was supposed to do and put it away. I would love to play Grace, but I don't see them beating CSAS.
  4. CSAS is the other team in the region tournament. Historically, they beat Grace. Last year they made it to the state quarterfinals before losing to CAK. I would not be at all surprised if they beat Grace once again.
  5. It sounds like both teams need some class.
  6. Who is in FRA's region and section? I know that DCA, CPA, and Hume-Fogg are in their region, but who else do they have to play to make it to state?
  7. Good post chatt soccer. I wonder if I know you? If Grace overlooks CSAS one bit, it could potentially be the district 6 rematch for the region. CSAS has some glaring weaknessess on their team, but also some great players. Although Alex blatantly had a handball on the CSAS goal, that was not the reason for the goal. The handball came at midfield. It was the play of the kid up front, I think Kit. He made a great move on one of our better defenders and slotted it very well. The shot count was 22-3 for the game, but 2 of the 3 CSAS shots were very very dangerous (1 goal, another just wide). They played well and I would not be at all surprised if they beat Grace. Good luck to anybody still playing who reads this...
  8. Page and CA are in the section with CCS, CSAS, Grace, etc.
  9. That's not neccessarily true. If CCS or Grace loses their district final then they will meet in the region semis which is an elimination game. I know this because last year we knocked Grace out in the semis and three years ago we knocked them out too.
  10. Please disregard what imthathard says. All four of the top teams played good teams this week, so the result will not always be a win. Playing Farragut to a 1-0 game is very impressive, and for us (CCS) to tie Baylor and Mccallie in the same week is pretty good as well. I agree, FRA's loss to BA was a dissappointment but that's the why the games are played. The better team doesn't always win. Also, what schools are in FRA's region? I know that CPA and DCA are in their district, but who will they play after that?
  11. It would be in the region tournament, either in the semis or finals, depending on if both teams win their districts. CCS will most likely play CSAS, and Grace will probably play Sweetwater.
  12. Yeah they are talking about Grace. Obviously Tyner hasn't exactly played the top teams in the state when they are predicting Grace to win state, but hey they did just lose to them 12-0, so Grace must look like a state champ in their eyes.
  13. How are mccallie and ccs both 0-0-1. I think you mean: mccallie 0-1-0 and ccs 0-0-1. Also if ccs beats mccallie, how would baylor win a tiebreaker considering that they tied.
  14. Mccallie's field would be perfect if it didn't dip off in every corner, and wasn't built like a football field. The crown is so bad that you can literally be sitting on the bench and not see the ball if it is on the other sideline. The grass on the field has been perfect everytime I have played there, but yes, everyone would be happier if it were at CCS. Oh well, I can't wait.

    FRA

Well actually, that is our record against TN teams, but Randolph is 14-2-2 which is counted on our schedule, and Dalton is 17-1-1 which also isn't counted on our schedule. So yes, my numbers do add up. Add all of the wins I took out of FRA's record and it is still under %500.

    FRA

All that I am saying about FRA is that they play a weak schedule outside of their district. Besides playing in our tournament where they played three good teams, the only other good team that they have played is MBA. Take out Catholic, CCS, and Notre Dame from FRA's record, and the teams that they have played are a combined 51-72-26. That's pretty weak. CCS has played teams who are a combined 121-76-19. Our district is relatively weak as is FRA's, but our non-district schedule has had Randolph Academy, Notre Dame, Dalton, CAK, Lenior City, Baylor, and Mccallie. All that I have said about CCS can be said for CAK and Lenior City as well. Lenior City isn't 8-6-4 because they stink. They have a bad record because they are playing the best teams from all over the state. FRA is 13-1 because they have stayed in their area beating up on teams like Pope John Paul II. That's all I'm saying about this, so don't please don't try to interpret what I'm saying about FRA as claiming that they aren't a good team.

    FRA

And JumpAround... why are you so adament on trying to believe and make others believe that FRA isn't good? Consider what I've just quoted from what I said right before you responded to it.
  18. I would not have been at all surprised if it had been 3-1. Jeff's PK and his two shots inside the 6, and then for CCS, Drew's header that went wide by about 3 inches. Either way, it was a great game between good teams, and it was exactly what non-district games should be. A challenge and learning experience for both teams, but no bad blood. The flat four back that Baylor plays changed our offensive style, and we only began to attack successfully at the very end of the game.
  19. You must mean that Bach dominated one of our backs, and that is how all of your chances were created. It shouldn't have been 4-0 or 5-0 considering we had several chances, including a header late that just missed. Baylor was the first team we have played this season with a flat four back, and that had us turned around offensively until late in the game, when we began to dominate.

    FRA

The Notre Dame-FRA game was on the CCS match field, which is easily one of the best in the state. Notre Dame is a team with the potential to beat nearly anyone. Post-season scrimmages don't mean jack, so for FRA to say they have played those teams is crazy. I'm not disputing that they are a very good team, but they definitely have a weak schedule.

    FRA

You name these schools, but the only one that you have played is MBA.
  22. The varsity game was 0-0.
  23. Do you mean CA (Columbia Academy) at 4 or actually CPA? If so, how do they go from unranked up to 4?
