Bingo! We Whitehaven fans have been harping on this all year, and even longer for some. I've tried to defend the OC at times myself.

It is a fairly easy argument to make that perennially Whitehaven's talent is second to none, so it is refreshing to see "blame" placed where it always should have been placed - COACHING - and not the all too common reflexive "incompetent", "biased"  and even "racist" referees.  As their #1 fan you can get away with saying it without being attacked.

BTW, the best way to deal with trolling jerks like MJBear is to ignore them.  Responding as some have only rewards their unsportsmanlike behavior.

Lausanne will not be going all boys. That’s a stretch to put out there even for you Boog. I would guess that Lausanne has looked at the likes of Ensworth, BA, MUS, etc. Schools that have been successful in athletics while keeping their academic standard. Not sure why doing it in AA  makes it wrong while AAA means it’s ok.

Lausanne was all girls for most of its history.  Went coed about 15 years ago when Marc Gasol of Memphis Grizzlies and Johnny West son of Jerry West GM of Grizzlies made their first boys athletic team a power in BBall.  Football was added only recently (2012 ?)  Agree They NEVER would become all boys

Well, I addressed Owlbooster directly one time and was then attacked by him in three separate posts. A 3 to 1 ratio is a pretty clear indication of his lack of self awareness when alleging someone has an "obsession." Lol

"Attacked" ???    LOL.   Hyperbolic as usual.  The obsession is all yours.   As an adult, I moved on from last season.  If I even come across one of your numerous posts, I rarely read them and certainly would not comment on it after your response last year.   I suggest you do the same.  You're the one one who has stalked me, perused my posting history, and now taken a swipe at me in this blog.   Had you not been complaining online about your player getting dissed by the Mr Football selection committee, our paths never would have crossed.   As far as "Walker"  it was an honest albeit slightly sarcastic question as to where he is now.   Just like it was an honest albeit sarcastic question about his first name last year.  Move on.  We can agree that we both think the other is an ahole.   Stop acting like one.

I wouldn't sweat some guy flapping his gums here. This place is full of smarmy folks that feel better by posting.

I picked CPA to lose big and still believe the better team lost. I did that even though I hold Ingle in great regard and have known him his entire life.

Too funny.  YOU are one of those "smarmy folks that feel better by posting"  LOLOLOL

We will all be better for it. Your posting history of attacking people is not conducive to productive discussion. However, I still laugh at you calling me an "anal pore". Too funny!!!!?

LOL.  I had a strong feeling you would show up after you stalked me to the 5A-6A site last year.  You've got your nose into everything.  Do you even have a life off oif CoachT?  You are the classic example of the pompous know-it-all poster who comments all over the sites and drives others such as RRR off the blogs.  The people I have "attacked" such as you deserved to be called out for your demeaning comments and yes being an  "anal pore"  BTW what happened to All World "Walker" who had no first name and DCA?

  6. There are frequent posts about Alcoa stating their zone and tuition are factors in their success. What percentage of players are part of that, who knows. Some posting could probably say but such discussion is usually drowned out by insults and jokes and then forgotten until the next time it comes up. point is, the smaller-medium size publics competing with large Division II would be few and far between, and not too many large publics either. Rhea vs Baylor was a good example used.

Agree. But as EHS-Trezevant demonstrated, upsets can and do occur when teams meet up at the right time  - or wrong time depending on your point of view.

  7. First post I ever received from you. Look in the mirror. Passive aggressive, smarmy, both fit as do others.

"1.Enlighten the 1/3 of the state where he isn't a "known commodity" as to the identity of "Walker" and the "unknown school." I'm assuming he's on a II-A team in middle or east TN"

You acted like the goofball you've proved to be and then when I unintentionally omitted his name in my response, you when bonkers.

I think it's clear we genuinely don't like each other and if ever given the opportunity away from this forum I would gladly (man I would love it) remove the constraints that limit my desired responses here.

We can agree to disagree about everything imaginable because neither care one iota what the other says. So lets just avoid communicating altogether so other threads aren't ruined.

Good luck to your team and Merry Christmas.

As to my 1st post, it's called "sarcasm"  Because you assumed everybody knew who you were talking about when clearly they didn't.  Donelson is not exactly the center of the TN HS football universe. (More sarcasm)

Best wishes to you and your team likewise.

  8. I've been nice and listened to your idiotic comments for weeks now but making light of a kid that played with a debilitating injury is just wrong.

Poke fun at me, be hypersensitive that I didn't include his full name, contine with the lack of self awareness and false narratives, and by all means feel free to continue to call me vulgar names, but don't insinuate negatives towards the kid. It's ridiculously poor form.

First of all, to say you have been "nice" is laughable.  Secondly, if anybody cared, they could go to the original threads and see where the "false narratives" are really coming from.  You came on this thread and reengaged me for no reason other than to be the AP you are.  Nobody is making fun of "Walker" but rather your POSTS.  You told me I would "find out" who "Walker" was in the game vs. Lausanne.  The game was not covered in the local newspaper except for some stats.  Walker's name was not mentioned.  So I assumed he didn't play.  Then you made a comment somewhere about his "season ending injury" so I thought my assumption was correct.  But then you started a dialogue somewhere else about his performance in the game?   Apparently I wasn't the only one who noticed this  contradiction -  he played into the 4th quarter of his team's last game game with a "season ending injury."   LOL

What is "illogical" or "hypersensitive" about wanting to know what team a player being discussed plays for???   Moreover, if you assert that "Walker" should have been one of the 4 semifinalists, then that IMPLIES that one of the 4 actual semifinalists should not have been.  Can you not see that???   Unless you stated that there should have been 5......

BTW, you have liberty to snipe out of the bushes all you want.  I'm through responding to somebody who sees nothing wrong with going onto a championship game thread to post that the newly named Mr Football on one team would be the 4th best RB on the opposing team and only the 5th or 6th best RB in his division.  Besides, there are other people out there calling you out for your arrogant posts.   Have a nice (delusional) life.

  9. Ok I did see this gem and had to assist you with some self awareness. I had an opinion and expressed. Others agreed with this opinion. I didn't name a single player that I thought wasn't deserving because I was only concerned with Walker, and somehow, someway, because your opinion was different, I am self righteous? Really? Do you read your posts? Thats pretty flawed logic don't you think? The fact this whole thing started because you were upset I overlooked naming a school is beyond childish.

I would suggest you buy a few mirrors for your home and take a look at them from time to time. It might actually help you?

Now, I'm gonna get some work done and head back to the stage our our coachT relationship where I ignore you. As sensitive and illogical as you are someone else will have to slap you around now. Farewell my liitle buddy, I have enjoyed each post.

You got one thing right - it did start when I asked you to identify "Walker" by citing his full name and/or team, because I (and others as it turned out) did not know who he was, and you would not do so.  Instead you went on an indignant rant..  Others chimed in but also got the middle finger salute from you.  That's it in a nutshell.   That "self righteous" label is warranted by your posts on several threads, and others have called you out for it besides me.  You called them "losers" and me a "loon."  LOL..

  10. IT WAS NOT  A DEBATE...LOL!

But seriously, he must be great if he played so well the week after a season ending injury.

You recognized this but PC refused to.  ON 2 threads  I simply called him out for different reasons, never debated his contentions, yet he considered it a debate (delusional) and declared himself the "winner".-  including on any threads where he actually was debated.

BTW - VERY funny remark about playing so well "after a season ending injury."  LOL

  11. I guess we won't believe it until we see it. Especially since a top D2 lost to a 2a school last year, and have lost to other D1 schools. True they had a bad year like all schools do. I'll be the first to say D2 schools are very good BUT y'all act like they are unbeatable. We'll never agree or believe that; especially the schools that have beaten D2 schools. D2 schools are great but we have great teams/ schools as well who are more than capable of beating D2s on any given Friday night

Let's be fair. Ensworth was NOT a "top D2 school" last year (they were REALLY down) and Trezevant is not a typical 2A team.  They recently were competitive in 4A and probably should be playing "up."  They won 2A this year but lost by 40 to EHS, who still are not back to their more usual selves.  Alcoa is only 3A but could compete with anybody in the state most years.  BA is contender for D2AA virtually every year but actually is a pretty small school.  They probably would be 2A or 3A if they were a public school.  CBHS is by far the largest school in D2 but rarely is a competitor. . Point is that size doesn't always matter.  Your best teams in 6A and D2 should be competitive.  .In order to know to what extent, we would have to have the best teams in a given year playing each other.  That's not happening now at all, and I don't see it changing, so it's probably going to remain part of the IFL speculations on CoachT, ,which, as you probably know, I think is rather pointless.  .

Oh yeah - congrats to Da Haven - wish you well for a repeat.

  12. I did read this one because it's not a tome. You're still a loon and obviously have and agenda because you tend to embellish when making a comment.

The internet, and message boards, are full of loons and E tough guys like yourself. Funny and sad at the same time. I gave you some attention after my recent salvo. Now I'm going back to ignoring your yapping. Lol

No you're not.  Just like you're going to ignore the growing list of bloggers calling you out for being a self righteous know-it-all?  I don't think so.....LOL

  13. BTW Owlbooster has a tendency to lie. I've never said a name that I thought who Walker should have been nominated over. But, it makes his agenda better when he says that stuff.

Neither of us lies.  There is no "lie" to an opinion.  However, I did mistakenly attribute the comment about Hayden Price to you when it was in fact made by your kindred spirit "CFAfan."  (BTW - What is a CFA?)  My apologies.  But c'mon, admit it - you agreed with him didn't you?  I mean, how could the Texas Ranger have been a semifinalist without one of the 3 Memphis ringers being left out?  (You opined that Howard should have won).  And if not Price, should it have been Austin or Gray?

  14. One in the 4th quarter against their scrubs? That's what you hang your hat on? You clearly don't know what great running back play looks like. He is a good running back but to say he was snubbed from getting a mr football nomination is just ridiculous. Multiple guys in Memphis who didn't make the cut would be above him.

What he actually posted was that Walker should have been nominated instead of Hayden Price, who became one of the 2 finalists.  Because of the "Memphis bias" of those idiots who do the voting.  Such a shame we all can't be as brilliant as he.  Did you read his post where he predicted Lausanne would lose by at least 14 points to a Webb team that had 3 running backs better than Eric Gray???  This guy loves the taste of his own feet.

  15. It could still turn into a 20 pager if you post your usual hypersensitive remarks then call someone names. I'm gonna give this one a chance. I have faith in you fella. :) "Anal pore" was a good one. I hope the next one is even more creative.

BTW DCAs Jayden Walker was district offensive MVP of the year as voted on by the coaches including those at Webb. Too bad the Memphis hype train kept him from being nominated for Mr Football.

I see you didn't take my advice and seek professional help.  I will take this occasion to add "paranoid" to my assessment of you as delusional, as you accused me of "following" you from thread to thread.  LOLLOLLOL.  I suggest you take a deep breath and reread what I actually posted.  Contrary to your delusional memory, I never disagreed with you about the substance of anything you posted.  Indeed, even if I had chosen to do so, I could not agree or disagree with you about "Walker" because I didn't even know who he was and you wouldn't tell me.  Rather than say he played for DCA, you had said that he played for a school that was well known in middle and east TN  and had won a state championship.  Is this a quiz show? I described this as nebulous.  Others agreed and said they too didn't know who "Walker" was.  You got defensive and said it wasn't nebulous.  You claimed everybody should know who Walker was because he had been discussed before.  Maybe on some other thread in the past, but it was his first mention on the "Mr Football" thread.  You acted like I was arguing with you about "Walker."  Red Robin tried to dissuade you, pointing out I was only asking for "clarification."   But you wouldn't be deterred from your rant.  Finally, I called you out as an "anal pore."   And that's what I did on the Lausanne-Webb thread.  I never discussed the merits of what you posted, just called you out for making a thoroughly inappropriate post, which I am confident that everybody on CoachT except other anal pores would agree.   More recently, you got dressed down by KWC on the "Top 10" thread for largely the same reasons as mine.  Everybody on CoachT  especially love how you keep declaring yourself the winner in all the debates, real and imaginary.  Seriously.  Get some help.

  16. I agree - thought Baylor was better this year until the BA and McCallie game. Was thinking more with cbhs

My deceased friend to whom I often refer, was a standout player in HS and played college ball at Texas.  He had extraordinary knowledge and insight.  In his last years, the 2 HS players he raved about the most were Jalen Ramsay and Derrick Barnett.   Funny story.  He joined me at a playoff baseball game with BA and I pointed out that Cody White was sitting i front of us, and for the next half hour was a silent onlooker as they "talked shop.".  LOL.

  17. Most everyone realized what kwc was doing and most people were doing the same. I'm sure they enjoy the banter since if has been a while since they have been in the discussion of best team in state .. Better than sitting at home scratching your head reviewing a year that ended early.

Kwc is well respected on both sides and has always been a good sport with the conversation. My only gripe is when bhs looses his head and throws personal jabs at people that shut down a thread.

Im about done for the year - on to basketball . Was glad we didn't make the trip to Memphis his year . There are not many great memories on that field for me. I'm looking forward to seeing you guys back in the mix as I am sure you will be. About time for you guys to go on a multiple state championship run again. Amazing how this division goes in cycles

Yeah, MUS is overdue.  They run in periodic 2 year cycles - gold balls in 2004 & 2005, 2008 & 2009, silver balls in 2012 & 2013.   I never cease to be amazed at how often bloggers don't include MUS in their list of top Div II programs, including in this thread, where they were lumped with Baylor as an "occasional" contender.  I guess it depends on how far back you go.  During the 2004-2016 period when MUS won 4 gold balls and 2 silver, Ensworth had 4 gold balls and 1silver, BA 3 gold and 3 silver, MBA 2 gold and 1 silver, Baylor no gold and 2 silvers (2010 & 2011).   Do I detect some mid state bias here?

in any case, my deceased friend I mentioned above was practically a member of the MUS athletic staff.  He knew and regularly spoke with all the coaches and knew all the scoop.  Since his death, I really don't have any special insight.  However, as I detailed in another thread, they seem posed to make another 2 year run.  The "X factor" is how they will stack up against the contenders in middle/east.

  18. Yeah, I had fun with that for a little while. Trolling can be addictive, if you aren't careful. LOL.

Man, that is a lot or reading. I figured you were lurking in the background just wondering how far this peeing match would go. Lol.

By the way, what is the more factual version of the boarding school issue? I made mention of what I heard on the radio one day. However, I don't remember how long ago it has been since I heard it. What do you have to add to this topic, if anything?

    Just curious.

I have not had any inside info of the goings on at MUS since my best football buddy died suddenly 3 days before the MUS-Whitehaven scrimmage in 2014., so my not hearing anything about a boarding school means nothing.  I doubt this is being considered seriously at any DII school, but who knows.  The MUS property at Park and Ridgeway is already pretty full of facilities.   Don't know where they would put a housing unit unless they cleared out one of the few remaining forested areas.  I'll keep my eye out for anything in the alumni magazine.
