I think it would be an excellent hire for Oak Ridge. That program needs a proven winner that cares about the kids and program. Larry Kerr built a program in Clinton that had not been very successful or considered to have much talent. While he has had some transfers, he has won with Lake City and Norris kids consistently. I think Kerr could do wanders with a goup of kids with some talent. While I'm not sure if Larry Kerr would be willing to tackle this job at his age, he would be an excellent asset to the Oak Ridge community. Does anyone know if he has any family in the Oak Ridge area? I also heard he has sold his house in Clinton. I would like to see Kerr somewhere besides AC, he did win a state title with a Knoxville school with some talent. It would be interesting!!

Has Larry Kerr made an official announcement about his future? It seems he brings up retirement after every season. However, if this is the end of the Kerr era it will be interesting to see who takes over that program. As many experts have said...I would rather replace the guy who replaces the guy. Kerr has some big shoes to fill.

While Alcoa's defense is extremely well coached and athletic, it will be interesting to see how this team will do facing tougher competition on a weekly basis next year. They may keep up with the same trend, however I could see some battles in that new district next year.
