  1. I'd go out and say that Hampton's starting five all are on the same level as J.Cross of East. But I agree lyle's the man going in until someone proves otherwise.
  2. This would be my top 5 five going into the season from what i have seen and from word of mouth. 1) Hampton 2) Cosby 3) Unaka 4) Cloudland 5) Hancock
  3. J.C. Campbell Retires!! Breaking news to me but, a couple of months ago Coach Campbell called it quits after 40+ years. What a legacy!!! He had great teams in the 80's and 90's and is most recently known for his 2005, 2006, 2007 Back to Back to Back semi finals teams. I was lucky enough to play for this Great man and for me he will always be Coach Campbell. Notes: Campbell's assistant and longtime friend Mike Lunsford has took over as Head Coach. Lunsford came to Hampton in 2005 to be an assistant after steping down as head coach of Hampton rival Cloudland. He coached the 2001 Lander team that was state runner-up. Coach Campbell Hampton LOVES YOU. Thank you for the memories.
  4. I heard Hampton High looks REALLY good. All those sophmore starters last year back. And picked up a transfer from Avery County, NC. who from what I hear can ball.
  5. I hear wonderful things, new player turning heads, team really coming together this off season. How did they do in the camps? Updates please.
  6. no one i trying to tear the hampton team apart. what happend friday night was simply one family of many family's sick hampton B.S., and oh yeah these coaches are legends. .. LOL!!!!!!!! Last year before this season started, I over heard Mike M. asst. coach of hampton: Brag about how when the king coach called about J. Bentley he told him to go somewhere else and the Bentley was lazy and the exact word's were barely a basketball player. Yeah thats a great coach. LOL. And no, I'm not out of my mind. People all year have said during the game and after, in the stands and in other places, whay can't they get Hill the ball. Instead of even trying or even looking they take it in and make one of the toughest shot there are to make with three people on them. All this while Hillhad been wide open, That is the truth. every thing I said in this post is the truth. And anybody who knows anything at all about the situation orhave bee to any of the games this year knows it is th TRUTH. but like I keep saying it's over don't cry know. Good luck to all carter county teams this year. oh yeah....I'm very sure that Ned, .... would love to have the 6'6'' Hill whereing the Blue and Gold next year. God Bless
  7. You are a foolish person. To think that you would single out one player fed up with the "ballhogs" and extremley bad coaching for not doing nothing. fed up with the verbal abuse. fed up with all the sh!t. I wouldn't be upset with Hill, I'd be upset with the coaching staff. All respect for the school I once loved has been stripped from me. I'm ashamed to say I'm a Hampton graduate! Enough is enough. IT'S OVER!!!!
  8. The Truth is the Truth. Well to put it short Hampton beat Cloudland the first time by 10, Hill played all game. period Like I said at the end of the game last night, when a team has no one on the inside to guard your post, and you don't use him and take him out right after he scored 4 points consecutively and easily, sit him down for two qrts, and then have the nerve to put him in to get the tip in overtime. LOL like said previously it is a two guard system that lets #5, #13, and others throw up anything miss alot and nothing is said. but when Hill messes up one time he gets the freakin pine. UNFAIR bottom line. and he will do awesome for any other team next year and I can't wait . Good luck to the bulldogs, becuase with the way they are lead and the system they run, They'll need it!!! God Bless!!!
  9. I agree! Now that Hampton has just gaurds as starters on ther varsity that should help them become......Well you see. LOL now hampton only has 3 good sophmores and some team some where will have the 6'6'' post.
  10. What is that guys deal? All we were saying is that Hampton has four OUTSTANDING sophmores that could very well be the best in east tn.
  11. I was hopeing you would take it the wrong way. And yes we lost to JC, E-Town, and UC, But what you seem to not understand is that we are extremely young and when sophmores are playing seniors it sometimes is hard to get a win. But once again we are in single (a) and haven't lost yet to any school that has the same number of students we have, there for we undefeated in 1-A Why are you trashing our "rinky dink" Bulldogs? And whats rediculous is you trashing Hampton about games that probally won't happen, and in which we never said we would win. "Compete" is the key word. Because let me tell you friend the Hampton Bulldogs will have a Awesome "with a capital A" team for the next couple of years. I can't wait to see how they will match up with those teams! I really hope they make it that far this year, But heck if they don't they got two more years to learn off everything and try again. I agree with the dude that said lets get back on topic. Best juniors and sophmores in east tn. Go Dogs, Good Luck, and God Bless!!!
  12. " Any team is beatable on any given night" Congrats to SG though.
  13. ? Is it true that it has been (15) years since Hampton has won the coference in B-Ball? Some one told me that, and I can't believe it!
  14. I Agree, It would be Awesome, "With a capital (A) Baby" to see the Dogs In the Arby's.
  15. (2) More regular season games left: Friday night the 13th, Hampton @ Cloudland *which is basicly for braging right's being that the conf. title all ready belongs to the Bulldogs. It probally means much more for the Highlanders. Still a BIG RIVAL GAME, and a BIG crowd should be on hand. Monday night the 16th, University High @ Hampton* Senior night at Vanhuss-White Gym. The Bulldogs should be fired to get a (W) for the vets. and nothings like keeping the MoJo and entering in the tournaments in winning fashion. But you can be sure that the Jr. Bucs will have upset on their minds. Good Luck, Go Bulldogs, God Bless!!!
  16. WAY TO GO BULLDOGS! WAY TO GO!!! LET'S KEEP THE MOJO GOING WELL INTO THE TOURNY'S!!! BRING IT HOME HAMPTON!
  17. It could happen! When the Hampton team is on thier on, and are extremly hard to beat. If they have a good dist. tourny and regoinals, then they get a sub-state game at home which would be a BIG advantage if playing someone like Grace. GO DOGS!!
  18. I agree! The youth at Hampton has really really grown up the past few weeks. Playing more as a team. I can't wait till' the tourney's *Game Tonight* : North Greene @ Hampton . . . .In fact I'm leaving now!
  19. Dylan Ward, Dylan Hill, Jacob Jones, and Nathanael Hughes all from Hampton are good quality players, 3 start and one gets alot of playing time. All are sophmores. Go Dogs!!!
