  1. There's a great preview of the game on KC's webpage. http://www.knoxcatholicfootball.com/08_opposition
  2. I know nothing about Mitchell. What kind of offense do they run? Catholic runs the WingBone, I think everyone and their mother knows that.
  3. Congrats to Mitchell on beating DL. Can someone post some information about Mitchell? What kind of offense do they run?
  4. playoffsarecool, I do agree with your name. Playing the playoffs year in and year out is pretty cool. I have no idea what Knox Catholic did to you, but I really don't understand your beef with them. Did Coach Pemberton steal your candy as a kid? Or maybe did they just beat your team, whoever that is, multiple times? I don't understand people like you. Catholic is in uncharted territory by making it this far. This is the first time they have played in the title game in D1. I must say that it is pretty impressive how competitive KC is considering that they have an enrollment of around 600 or 650 when they are playing schools with much larger enrollment. Playoffsarecool, the only thing I agree with you is your user name, playoffs are cool, especially when your team is playing in the Boro on Saturday.
  5. I hate to be picky, but I believe the proper way to spell the word that represents 10th graders is "sophomore." Ok that being said, can we PLEASE just talk about the game. What happened in 1997 or in 2004 really has no impact on this game. People will get on here and run their mouths about everything but the actual game. The players on the 2008 rosters are the ones we need to talk about. Catholic has some dynamic playmakers on the offensive side of the ball. We've all heard about Howanitz and Cozart, but there are several others. Mackle and Branum are two above average WRs with pretty good speed. Williamson is, IMO, the best quarterback Coach Pemberton has had at KCHS. It's going to be an outstanding game. I'm excited to see Catholic in uncharted territory in D1. I'm driving from Murfreesboro to see this game. I know little to nothing about White House, so making a fair pick is not possible.
  6. yeah larry being 6'5" always guarantees a player to be a D-1 prospect
  7. It doesn't take much courage to get on these boards and run your mouth. That being said I am a fan of KC, but I know little to nothing about White House. But, having played for Coach P, I know an awful lot about Catholic. They do run the "WingBone", not the WingT. Its a hybrid between the wishbone and wingT. These players for KC have been running this offense since they were kids in the feeder program. KC will run the offense mistake free, and they will throw the ball if they have to. This offense has progressed greatly and has more wrinkles than you could ever imagine. It is extremely difficult to defend. Catholic has some great athletes, and they will be prepared for a great game come Friday night.
