Im smelling what could be an upset tonight. Huntland girls seem ready and confident for this game with Moore County.

I thought the kid that was a freshman last year would be their ace this year. I really dont think the left hander is that good if it is the same one from last year. When did alabama am start baseball.

I'm not exactly what you meant by that, but I haven't seen a single Cascade fan address this game on CoachT. Although we are proud of the girls and this was indeed a big win for Cascade, it still is only a regular season victory. No need in taking shots at Cascade when we have said nothing out of line in reference to this game. I believe rebelboy is a Huntland fan possibly.

You are one smart cookie. You ever heard of the beech hill rebels. I jusy get to watch a lot of dist 11 and a few dist 9 games. Go Champions. What happened to the lady that coached them a few years ago. What happened to the guy who coached them before her. Did mooney ever coach there, what about the ex principal (dont know his name) I think a cottam used to coach there. I even remember the older guy that coaced the CHAPEL HILL girls.

Great job by the girls and great job by Coach Childers. If he's not the Coach of the Year in the district somethings really wrong then.

Im not a cascade fan, just a former player and current fan who has seen a quite wonderfull small school get to the point where it is better than everyone else. I guess that is a problem with growth. I remember back when the fans cheered a good play no matter what team or where it was. People were loyal to their school but they acknowledged other teams and fans.

According to Coacht, Lauren Sims is on Franklin Co.'s roster. That is very surprising. If there is any truth to this, Huntland will be in bad shape.

The Huntland girls have really played well for most of the year. The attitude with the girls has been great with the players that are still there. All players now play defense and dont care who scores and who might get the attention. To the people that thought this situation would hurt, it has done nothing but help.

Ive said all year long the Lady Hornets were guing to upset someone before the year was over. Great effort and great defense against Richland last night. Keep working hard and dont get satisfies with one big win.

I wish he was a sophmore. I have watched him play for four years wish i could watch him play for two more years. Bethel has offered him a scholarship to play football so i dont think he will be at huntland next year.

that music probably did fry most of my brain cells. and i bet he got the majority of the points AFTER ca was up by 30, or whatever it was. but i never said he wasnt a good player, just not MVP matieral(this year)

It was difficult to not score after the game was out of hand. CA got on huntland quick that night.

Huntland played well against Cornersville just could not get over the hump at the end. Still think the hornets could upset somebody before the year is over.

I think Robertson is just young and has great potential but I must agree he didn't impress me either. If he is the player that Huntland thinks he is then he would step up and take control of the game... kind of take it in his own hands. He got most of his points late against CA when the game was out of question. Williams and Whiteside dominated Huntland. They took control of the game. Don't get me wrong I know basketball is a team effort but those two are the go to guys. Robertson needs to be more of a go to guy. Williams done the samething last night against SF. I'm sure Stephens or the Beach twins are the go to guys for Culleoka. Just my thoughts. Robertson has a lot of upside to him... just still young right now.

How young is he i think ther are two one is a freshmen the other is a senior. The senior must not be very good, although he did hold whiteside to 4 or 6 points after the 1st quarter. Just my opinion i guess all the other great players are much better than anybody huntland has. If this is true there should be a lot of scholarship offers out there on the table for the other six teams. Good luck to all teams the rest of the year. By the way the freshmen dont play much and the senior holds his own with just about all the other players in the district, ADIOS my FRIENDS

when Ca played huntland i wasnt impressed with robertson. i dont know if he made a shot.

 

now to tonights game...CA vs. Santa Fe

 

Ca squeeks by with a 8 point win in double overtime. CA didnt play very well. and Santa Fe didnt miss. Williams had a big game, hes starting to really step up and make the plays. whiteside had a good game, not sure on the scores. im guessing williams probably had more.

The music must have fried some of your brain cells. Robertson had 18 against CA that night. Only Hornet in double figures. He also had 23 last night.

1st. I am the older brother of joseph darnell. 2 nd i never said anything bad about the coach. 3 rd am i wrong for getting on here and supporting my little brother? I spoke with joseph and he is not embarrassed at all that i an on here posting! So get your facts strait. Im very proud of him. He has worked so hard o get where he is now. He has a love for the game and a work ethic that is unbelievable. So if i am wrong for supporting him then you will just have to deal with it!

No problem with anything here in fact i admire u for supporting your family. Just dont question the coach. When we lose games we look to place blame on somebody(coach, officials, teammates, etc,. Sometimes our team just gets outplayed.

Hey distirct 11-A fans! I get such a laugh when I read all the bickering in your threads. If you cant tell Im a Cascade fan through and through. I cant help but notice that LeadFarmer likes to keep it stirred up over there. I was talking to a buddy today that told me he(leadfarmer) is the Darnell kids older brother. From what my friend said Darnell is a good kid but a bit embarressed by his brothers mouth. Farmer get a life! Coach Wilson has turned a one win a season dormit Cornersville program into a team that competes nightly. If in fact you are Darnells brother you should be thanking the Coach for helping your brother get to where he is now. Why in this day and time are people always making excuses for our athletes?! Did Cornersville not lose many players from last years team? I believe they did and if thats the case how many starters did they return? Shut-up and let the coaches coach!

Good post about history and letting the coach do his job. I bet the coach is not making excuses.

I agree with you the old was much better. I guess they are trying to stay modern playing thenewest music.

Have they released a schedule for 2009-2010 yet. Just interested to see if there are any new opponents.

Their parents THOUGHT they knew more than the coach.

Moore County was pretty much on fire. Cornersville was down by 20 at one point but came back in the third to take a 5 point lead going into the fourth. the game wqas tied with 18 seconds left when MC went to the basket and Darnell had a great block off the backboard that would have sent it into overtime but he caught the side of the ball and it spun off the backboard into the basket. Cornersville gets the ball back with 9 seconnds left but couldn't convert. MC gets the rebound game over. I'm not knocking the bulldogs coach in any way but in my personal opinion if he would stay out of Darnell and Stiles ear and let the team play and have fun a little it would sure help the moral of the team. But he is the coach and i am not so i'm sure he has his reasons. I don't know bout you but when my coaches would get onto me i seemed to play alot worse simply because i would try too hard and make more mistakes because of it.

Let the coach coach. Remember how many games you won before he got there.

They quit from what I heard.. but rumors float, so I don't know.

They did quit. Thats why Culleoka girls will never win. The girls and even more the parents cant take coaching. The coach is doing as good as he can with what he has to work with, You good folks in Culleoka need to rally around the coach and give him your full support and you might see some positive results.

Huntland did not seem ready to play but, take nothing from CA they dominated from start to finish. Hope the Hornets can put this one behind them and get back on track for the rest of the season. The district seems pretty balanced in spots 2 thru 7. The Hornet have a big week ahead of them with road trips to Cornvegas and Richland. Better get your heads clear and play the way you have up to this point
