They’ll be fine. Huntland has the most talent and depth in 8A. Their record is deceiving. Tullahoma is a good 3A school and Community is a good 2A when healthy. Who is out for Huntland other than Riley?

Its a different one or two every game.  This season is going to be crazy, dealing with this virus.  I am hoping we will be able to complete our schedule but I think we will be lucky to play 15 games.

As long as he didnt step on the field in a varsity contest he is good.JV and Freshman games don't count.

Wrong! Each school has one eligibility list.  If you play any kind of game you have a participation record.

This has the potential to be a ridiculous region. Every region game is at a premium. If I am thinking correctly, these are, for the most part, perennial playoff teams. They may not make deep runs, but three of these teams that are accustomed to being in the postseason are going to miss the playoffs. My thoughts are that this is going to be a battle tested region by the time post season rolls around.

    Agree 100%

I’m big on fairness. You bet! That’s my middle name. In this situation, which I have some inside knowledge of, both teams had players ejected correctly so. The officials turned in their report. Both schools filled out reports and submitted more self-imposed penalties for themselves. More players should and will miss this Friday night due to school imposed penalties...and that is fair!

If that happens I agree.  Would like to know the sanctions that each school imposed on themselves.

Each school has turned in numbers twice. Once to the state department and once to the tssaa. The tssaa asked that schools turn in the 20 day enrollment number and they compare it to the state department number then contact the schools about any discrepancies.

    makes sense now, thanks

I think they'll be a few surprises as to what has been posted on the TSSAA website.  Enrollment number wise.

Just a question but how could those numbers be wrong if it is what was turned in to the State for state funding.  Not wanting an argument just wondering how this could get messed up.

What are you seeing that makes you say that? After you take all the non-football schools out, Fayetteville appears to have at least 3-4 schools of little wiggle room if the classes are 49-50 each again. Also, at least three schools listed as smaller (Loretto - 494 to 353, Eagleville - 437 to 317, and Mckenzie - 432 to 335) than Fayetteville show such drastic decreases in their enrollments that they may get a second look to make sure they submitted correct numbers. Loretto and the other Lawrence County schools reportedly submitted their average attendance rather than enrollment, which would mean their numbers would be adjusted up significantly to correct that.

They use the average daily attendance from the first 20 days of school and not the actual number that is at a school on a certain day.  Thats why all the numbers are so different than last year.  Must be a lot of kids doing home school and not virtual.  Home schoolers do not count against your numbers.  I would venture to say that ALL schools have more students than what has been turned in to the state.
