  1. Rabbit, I agree 15-14 is not acceptable. OC Fan's young team comment is comical. As you said, 3 sr starters and one jr starter whose started nearly every game since shes been there. Two of the first subs are jrs as well. La can look for excuses if they wish, but being young is not one of them. As far as Sta. Camp goes, Upperman beat them by 25. Shelbyville is not your typical Shelbyvile with a 9-6 record. I don't know the problem, but it appears there is one. Of OC's 7 more possible losses, I would think Upperman might be the hardest to beat. Why La would expect to lose the other 5 is something I don't understand. Who would have ever thought losing the one who transferred would have this much effect on this "young" LA team. /huh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="huh.gif" />
  2. The LA coach does a really good job with his team. They also have some pretty good players on the team as well. Looks like a pretty good mix to me.
  3. I don't know that winning games by double digits is considered a slump. If it is, I'd say alot of teams wish they were in a slump. High expectations for this team from not just the community but especially the coach. Nothing wrong with that. I can tell you this. This team was born to run. /excl.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":excl:" border="0" alt="excl.gif" />
  4. Idon't know how good the district is but I don't think LA is running everybody out of the gym like alot of people expected. Really don't know what the problem is if there is one. /sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  5. Overton, your prediction looks pretty close. May be another chance to see LA's talented freshmen. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. Those are some impressive numbers. LA boy's basketball is definitely on a good run. They won't lose in the district, I don't believe although anything is possible. I believe the better team wins about 90% of the time. Scrub, you might want to consider changing your name to Coach Melton's Number One Fan. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  7. I've watched basketball for about 25 years and I have found that inconsistency is part of the package especially with teenage kids. No team is going to play well every night. It just doesn't happen. Maybe in Livingston's case they lose a little focus once they get the big leads. Kids will try to do things they wouldn't do if the game was close. Just a thought. I do know playing "up to your potential" every night just isn't possible no matter how good or bad the team might be.
  8. Very little doubt, John Jenkins is the best. People can call SC a one man team, but the opponents know that and still can't stop him.
  9. You and Overton County fan are just too good. You need to go into the high school booking business.
  10. I'm going to say Livingston Academy by 30. It may be a chance to see LA's talented freshmen again.
