  1. The prospects of finding a coach outside of Marshall County are about zero, unless they are running from something or have been fired. This is not a knock on Marshall County Football, it is a knock on the school system and how it is run. Marshall County High is on its 3rd Principal in a little over 3 years and the same goes for the Director of Schools. The system is so unstable, any coach who does their homework will run from this place. It is a shame, but it is a fact.
  2. What feeder program were you referring to in Shelbyville?

    District 9-A

I know him too and you are giving him a bad rap. I think kicking a kid off of the team because he didn't play summer ball is ignorant. He also is on the basketball team and went to as much of summer camp as he could. The basketball coach didn't kick him off. Baseball coaches could have worked with him as well.
  4. In single A i agree Clarksville Academy CSAS Humboldt who else has a lot returning With only one senior on this years team, I think Forrest has the talent to make it to the state tourney.
  5. I've made the journey over to Murfreesboro the last 3 years to cheer for your softball team in the State tourney. I've even picked some of them up to play with me during summer travel ball. Many of my Cascade players are good friends with your Forrest players after being able to play together. I also picked up some Shelbyville, Huntland, and Marshall County girls. I'm not one of those that will root against Forrest, just because... Glad to see you are not that way either. There are many good folks in Chapel Hill and I have a few friends from McEwen I have met thru Football who are great people as well. Many great fans and people pull for Cascade also. All schools have good and bad fans. It's a given. Probably time to let this thread die in my opinion. I agree. And as for the racist remarks, fight, etc., a few fans from both schools were to blame.
  6. If it happened, it showed poor taste in my opinion. Was the whole squad involved or just a few? I personally wouldn't condone that action and would be surprised if Cascade's adminstration did. Hopefully they were just having fun with the McEwen cheerleaders and didn't realize the reflection it made. At least 7 or 8. It was a little more than having "fun". That's also how trouble starts. However, for what it's worth, I cheered for Cascade, as did everyone else around me, during their game with Clarksville Academy.
  7. I didn't bring Cascade in the debate to begin with but does your administration know that Cascade cheerleaders were on the gym floor in the "runout" when McEwen took the floor? Don't you think that is a little different than just you or I cheering for another team?
  8. I have a nephew who plays for Forrest and I was at the game. For you to say that "other" players for Forrest were showing bad sportsmanship is a flat out lie. Name one. I have watched them play all year and haven't seen it. For you to get on here and lie is no better than what happened after the game. I know the former principal at Forrest wouldn't have let any of this happen. The current principal of Forrest wasn't even at the game, but that is another story. My nephew told me that Forrest was at camp this summer with McEwen and they happen to be good friends. He said they got along and hung out with McEwen during the week. Sorry to give you good news. And as for Cascade cheering for McEwen, that doesn't surprise us. I guess if we had been beaten by them by 40 points during the season, we wouldn't have much love for them either. Good luck to McEwen the rest of the season.
  9. Hey, NewBlue, wasn't Clarksville Academy's best player out that game? Answer, please.
  10. I think it was suppost to be played at White House Heritage but the gym was too small ( must hold what, 1500) so it was moved to East Robertson High School in Cross Plains . This wont be the case in the future years, Starting next year White House Heritage will be in the NEW HIGH SCHOOL. . It will be one of the best gyms in Tennessee. Forrest went 11-18 during the reg season ? is that right. I'm figuring that WHHeritage might have gotten the better seed playing Forrest in the first round, as opposed to Eagleville or Cascade?? I know that WHH was the 4th place team coming out of the District tourney. But by all means dont let that fool you. They are tuff and they are a team that I would not want to face in the first round of regions.... you might just be one and done. This is the same Forrest team that was tied with Clarksville Academy with less than 3 minutes to go at the Hickman County Christmas Tournament. Go ask Clarksville Academy about Forrest before you pop off your mouth.
  11. Forrest wins by 20. Good luck to all 9A teams in the Region!
  12. It's nice if you enjoy playing "Rollerball" instead of Basketball. Out-of-Bounds is when you slam into a wall. Players on the bench have to keep their feet under their seats or they will trip players on the court.
  13. Games are cancelled for tonight.
  14. Forrest beat Community by 13 but played very sloppy. Forrest will have to play a lot better to hang with Huntland tonight.
  15. You are correct, auntkim. You never know which team is going to show up but tonight, it was a beat down. Forrest by 40.
  16. Forrest vs. Cascade has also been moved to tonight. Good luck with your game vs. Eagleville rebelboy. We lost to MTCS Tuesday night. Forrest played a very good first half and a terrible second half.
  17. Same to you, rebelboy. As I said before, I was very impressed with Huntland. Speaking of injuries, Forrest is still plagued with them, too. I guess it will be this way the rest of the season, but, you have to play with the hand that is dealt you. Once again, good luck!
  18. I think you are selling Huntland a little short. They have 3 excellent guards who can shoot. I saw them play against Forrest. They are as good as anyone in the district. As I have said before, anyone in this district can beat anyone else with maybe the exception of Boyd, but even they play hard. If Forrest can get all of their injured back, they will be competitive. The Bishop kid has had a hurt back for about the last month and has tried to play through it. I think he is the best pure shooter in the district when he is healthy, but that is something all teams have to play through this time of year. I feel the district tournament is going to be very exciting this year. Good luck to everyone. Actually I am not selling the hornets short, I have seen them play every game. They start and have 4 pretty good guards. Check all the predictions not many gave them a chance in this district. They ave played through the suspension of players and an injury to another. They are gelling at the right time. Matter of fact another road win last night over MTCS. Jump on board if you want to just dont call me out with useless information. Go HORNETS What is the useless information? I thought I was complementing your team. I was not one of those not giving your team a chance.

  20. With the exception of Boyd, I believe everyone else is capable of winning the district this year. I have seen everyone else play with the exception of Community. And don't be too hard on our district as far as talent. Forrest was tied with Clarksville Academy with 3 minutes to go in their game so I believe the old adage of on any given night our district can compete.
  21. Cascade and Eagleville may win, simply because they are playing at home. If Community is to beat MTCS, you had better not put them on the foul line. They don't miss.
  22. Give Forrest credit. Collinwood was ahead by 19 at one point. If you want to make excuses, Forrest had 3 post players who didn't dress out because of injuries. They started 2 freshman and 3 juniors. It was a good game but Forrest caught fire from the 3 point line in the second half. Collinwood has a good team but they looked like they ran out of gas at the end.
