I think Offutt would do a good job at NW. Coaching is in the blood. I do believe also believe that Myers will do a good job at Springfield.

Then you have not heard anything from that one but GetarealClue joined on March 9th and knows more about Hillsboro and Springfield. So it has to be someone that has connection to both schools and who is someone that has connections to both schools???????

because he was in Montgomery County schools for a while and they let him go and did not give anyone from NW a fair shake at being a head coach in the system. Now we can beat them bad and show them what they missed out on.

Heard coach J was jumping ship from NE to WC!!!!!!!!!! Wow how does the administration feel about this????? New they should have hired a coach who wanted to be there. not someone who jumps ship. They had a coach there who wanted to be there but let him go now I bet they wish they had him back.

I agree with you 100% about the county not putting any sports first. There really is no commitment to Athletics as a whole. In a public school system you can't have just academics. You also have to have an extra curricular way of thinking. This way it gets the most kids involved in a school. And what is the best way to keep kids on track to graduate? By keeping them involved. If they are not involved then they will be at home or on the street. I guess we were talking about the same thing. I didn't say a good coach would necessarily win I said he would do a good job. That may not be wins. That may be getting more kids out and involved. Disciplining the kids and making them accountable to someone. Making them learn what hard work and determination are.

Nothing since then. yes they make a playoff run but lose to better programs. That does not mean their coach is bad he does a good job with good smart people. some coaches win because of the talent. Some coaches win with lack of talent. Is the coach with talent better because he wins? No. Is the Coach with lack of talent better I would say so. Yes most great coaches go on to bigger and better schools because they PAY more. If a school around here was to step up and offer a Coach a lot more money they being paid in this county then you would see better coaches coming but in this county you don't get paid $40,000 just to coach like you do in Alabama. Hey JoePa thanks for the reply. Before I even start I did say do a good job. Let's talk about the people you have listed. They all got to recruit their players. Maybe those years they did not have the best Asst. And I do believe all of those people you have listed have a winning record wherever they have been. We all know that if you don't have talent it is hard to win. Impossible NO. Hard YES. Did I say you were going to win every game NO. I just said a good coach and go anywhere and at anytime and do good. Yes that is a vague statement. But thanks for giving us something else to talk about their ole wise one.

It is always nice to make the crummy people feel better every now and then. Just don't get used to it. by the way what do you really do for a living? Just worry about what schools are going to do about coaches? That is sort of what I do. I do hope for Southerlands sake that he gets hired somewhere so he can prove his merit. He has done a lot for the schools he has been at. a great hard worker. devoted to the kids, and puts the schools first unlike what the schools have done for him. have a great day ole smooth one. I am glad I was missed. It was getting to hairy for me in here. I had to lay low for awhile. Surely you old slow one can understand that. You may even be the skinnest person I could ever know. I didn't want to get into anymore trouble on here anyway. but as you have said we have at least sparked an interest in this subject where there was none to start with.
