Well I have not posted anything this year about the Lady Grizzlies even though I have been to most of their games. So now that the year is over I thought give you some of my thoughts about them. The Lady Grizzlies had a fair year, but next year will be more of a challenge than this year has been. Moving in to the new District with South Greene(making the State), GreenEville (as Raideray Would say moving down from AAA), Chucky Doak, West Greene, Claiborne who returns Nickels(a very Strong post player)and most of the Team, and Cumberland Gap will be very diffult for the ladies next year. If they do not take better care of the basketball (They averaged about 17 turnovers a game this year) and start playing better defense then next year will be even a harder year that this one. Also South Greene and GreenEville play at level of effort that Grainger is not accustom to playing at. Both of these teams will be physical and Grainger has problems with teams that have strong post play and that get physical on the defense end. I see Grainger in the lower third of this new district unless they get a a stronger post play and cut down on the turnovers. Maybe some of the freshman will step-up next year. They should get a couple of girls from RMS that should help them quickly . Taylor Morgan point Guard (should help with Turnovers and see is playing AAU this summer) and Laura Johnson Forward or post (should be able to help on Post Defense and could be a scoring threat). I hope the girls work hard this summer and have a better year in 2010. By the way bballmomma, bigbluefan4ever and alwaysapioneer, what D1 College is Miss. Acuff being recruited by you guys and gals seam to know everything about her or what is going on around her or least it seams like you do, by reading your post on these boards, or you are her Family along with BigAmom.

After the Game last night someone was telling that UT is going to make the offer McBee. That came from someone setting with Bruce during to game. I have no way to confirm the infomation.

Listen Guys and Gals, I am not tring to down McDonald, I trully would like to see him play. And if I knew anything about him and I would have went to the Arby's tournament to see him play. I live in East Tennessee and that is why I get to see those kids play and her about them. I can not get to middle and west Tennessee so I do not know that much about kids from there. When I say I would like to see him play, I ment it. I was not tring to take a shot at him. I love to see kids that have a great game and a pasion to play. He is going to NC then he is a player! Period.

If he is better than McBee I sure like to see Leslie play. Will he have a game near east Tennessee or will we have to wait till the state Tournament or until he gets to Chapel Hill to get a look at his game? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

If you want more kids to get a chance to play put in the clock. Coachs that try to play just 5 kids will no longer be able to do that. Why you may ask because you have to play defense for the entire clock. The clock makes the offense attack not set back and hold the ball. The speed of the game increases with the clock no slow down so kids can rest. Thus the you need to have 7 to 8 kids that can play to give the needed rest becasue of the speed. I am for the clock lets get more kids on the floor instead of on the bench watching the game.

I sure would like to see it. Even if it was 40 sec or 50 sec. I think it would make the game better. I think that 18 minute half's would be better than quarters also. And for the ones that think the game should not change do you really want to go back to 6 on 6 so more girls can play? I don't think so. Lets get the high school game more like the college game so the kids do have a chance to move to college do not have a lot adjust to . I have got to see Mcbee play alot this year if there is a better guard than him in the state I like to see them. He really can take a game over, and has when he has needed to.
