With reguards to Big Sandy i am gonna predict that they will finish near the bottom of their district. They lost way to much experience and talent last year to be able to compete at the level they were playing at. Cox is a very good player but they were several good players on the team last year that took alot of heat off Cox. Last year teams had to worry about all five starters. They were all capable of scoring in double digits any given night. If one player wasn,t hitting their shots all they had to do is go to one of the other four. It will not be like that this year. If they they double Cox who are you gonna go to? The talent pool is very shallow. Sorry if i irratated anyone one , but it is what it is. West Carroll will be on top but i think Huntingdon might give them a run. I don't think Big Sandy will win over 4 games this season.

Congrats to Lake Co. they played a great game. I think BS did a pretty good defencive job on avery when he was down in the post. What killed us was the speed of the guards. It looked like we did not have a very good game plan. For the last half of the season we played really good team ball allways making the extra pass, did not happen tonight . This is the way we started the season. Don't think we even tried to get the ball into the post.which is what i had heard we were going to do.First one with the ball across halfcourt shot the ball, not the way to win against a team as good as LC. Should be a good game against humbolt. UC really gave it everything they had. Humbolt is just to big for most teams.

I agree with purple and gold if the kid no longer plays for that school what you put on the floor is full strength. This is a completely different team that played UC in the past. The team of a couple years ago had no experience playing in a big game. We are a much more mature team now with a lot of heart. I can tell a difference just from the start of the season, they are really playing with a purpose. I wish them nothing but the best , this is one good group of kids and if they end their season tue. night they should be proud of how far they have come. Good luck to LC it should be a good game.

In all seriousness i think BS will get by trenton, LC i agree will be very hard to do but i think they do have a shot if they are on their game for a full 4 quarters. ( ? ) I don't think LC will blow them out. BS is pretty quick and can put up alot of points . LC might win but it will be fun to watch for sure. Not to take anything away from LC they are a very good team and wish them all the luck in regionals but i am pulling for BS. I know how hard they have worked to get this far. So good luck to everyone that made it to regionals. With all that said it will be Humbolt#1 for sure.

Your not giving Big Sandy enough credit. They got a ligit shot at beating Lake Co. This is a much better team than people think. I say Big Sandy and Humbolt in the final, but that is probably were it will end. Humbolt is in a class by themselves.

Big Sandy should advance thru 1st round but WC is going to have a tuff time if UC is on their game. Best of luck to all of them though.

Why can't people seem to just congratulations a team instead of running their mouth. Big Sandy deserves to be proud of their championship. I didn't say anything about any teams in 14a, you should be congratulating all teams that made it to regional. But don't take a win over BS and WC for granted. I think there is an old saying about counting your chickens.

You are right about guarding greer he is a very good player and he is going to get his points regardless how good you do on D. Should be a good tourney can't take any of the top 4 for granted.

I agree he is avery good coach, he dosen't miss a trick from working the refs on the clock if they are behind or trying to delay the game talking to the refs so he can try to ice the freethrow shooter at the end of the game, so he dosen't have to burn a time out. BS and WC should meet again in the championship game but both need to watch out for Bruceton they could sneak up and get ya if you are not carefull.

On the sublect of Greer, he is a very good player. I don't feel that he is a great player though. Not that he won't be, he has another year left so only time will tell. Next year will be against weaker teams in 13a so i don't know know if that will prove much. On the comment about him shooting so much, when a team is down and they can't really get anything going your star players job is to take over the game and try to win it. Sometimes it works and sometimes it dosen't. He does seem to get alot of calls that other players don't get but you have to live with it and overcome the calls with good play. Big Sandy did this the other night. So CONGRATS to Big Sandy they tend to not get the respect they deserve hopefully this win will change that alittle. So maybe some of the calls will go their way alittle more than they do now. Most of the points greer scored in the 4th quarter were like bshs said were uncontested. They had some players in foul trouble and really did not have much of a choice.One other comment is that i have never seen a coach try to work the refs like West Carrolls coach and the refs let him do it. On a couple of inbound plays this one ref would just delay the game and go over and talk to WC's coach. Once or twice i can see but this went on all game long. I felt like getting a little table an candle, and a glass of wine and sitting it over next to their bench. IT was rediculious.

No way should west carroll get honorable mention, they barely got past big sandy the other night with some help from the refs. Agree with everything else.
