  1. I started coaching bowling at Hendersonville High school in 2001-2002 season. I have been blessed in the nine years of coaching, by having great school supporters, great assistance coaches, great bowlers, great parents, and great support of the community. I have watched many great young bowlers from around the State grow and become ambassador for the game of bowling (too many to list their names boys and girls, and I would not want to leave out anyones name). I have been blessed in meeting great coaches from all over the State( middle, east and west). This week, I recieved a call from the school to inform me that the school has hired a faculty member to be the 2010-2011 coach for the bowling team. I wish the new coach and the both teams the best. I am proud that I am leaving HHS with the most State Championships in school history (3 boys and 1 girls). For Now, its good bye to all fans in the sport, the ones who liked me and the ones who did not like me. It takes all kinds of fans to make our great sport exciting. Keith
  2. Bowlingrules, Please don't bash the finalist, it is a honor, and I am sure they all deserves to be a finalist. Don't be bashing Wilson Central either, The Page girl should be a finalist, and I don't like it when people spread romors or bad information, the reason I was told that neither Sr. was Miss Bowler last year was because they were from the same school and split the middle Tennessee votes. The girl from Hardin County that won Miss Bowler was individual state runner up and helped her team to a state title. Everything starts off in someone else hands and TSSAA adopts it later. You have a good point, maybe wait to the state is completed. Please don't bash the finalist, start your topic and talk all that you want.
  3. I have spoke with White Station coach Catlin. He has 2 girls in Div. 1 and one boy. His 2 girls are Lauren and Jekayla. I have that Wilson Central has the other girl, one of the Page sisters. I have heard that Soddy Daisy has a boy, and I beleive that Wilson Central has the other boy. Regardless, Congrats to all. It is a great honor to be selected as a finalist. Enjoy the night and I will be there to support all the finalist.
  4. Hey, both of you made my top ten coacht's wall of fame for the greatest bowler ever in the state, but CHSBowler (Poirier) and Bowlerguy854 (Barnes), great bowlers dont ever need to defend theirselves or brag on theirselves. You have never seen Hannagan on this site bragging on himself. I think both of you are outstanding bowlers and fine young men, and should be rank in the top ten, but not first. I log on a couple times a year, and when I read some of the posting, and they are leaving off some of the greatest bowlers, I have to give my opinion. PS Little Barnes will most likely will make my wall of fame top ten once he graduates. He is one of the few bowlers that has been great since he's been a freshman.
  5. Best high school school ever? I have read all of your comments some was good and some dont know what your talking about. The BEST ever has to be Daniel Hannagan. Not because he bowled for Hendersonville, but because how he bowled in the two state tournaments shooting high games of 289 and 300, not just bowling in college, but he helped win 2 Jr. college national championships, and he was ranked in the top five college bowlers nationally at UTC. Daniel has also done very well in regional tournament lately. Now here is some other Great bowlers from this Great state in no certain order. Kyle Barnes, Smyrna, 2 state tiltles, 300 game in state, and a Great leader for his high school team. He has continued his bowling at the college level and has been rank high in college bowling (dont know how high). Aaron Martin Jr., Overton, Great high school bowler, carried his team on his back through the state tournament. Has done well in regional tournaments. Gary Falkner, Germantown, Great high school bowler, finished high in individual tournament, and rolled games in a tournament at Hermitage Lanes of 300, 300, 279. Kyle Garza, Hendersonville, 300 in the state tournament, 3 state titles, most total pins in the history of of the state tournament. That means he bowled outstanding for 4 years. Michael Poirier, Columbia Central, a Great team leader, state title and individual state title, Mr. Bowler, college bowler, not as strong as the others, looked great because boy's high school bowling was down his Sr. year. That statement might sounds like it is not far to Michael, but the fact is boys high school bowling was down that year, it only took 3500 to make it to the state finals. (Fact) There are others that should be on the all time best coacht's state high school bowlers hall of fame wall, the title states "BEST HIGH SCHOOL BOWLER EVER". Hannagan's resume speaks for itself.
  6. When we are talking about great bowlers, great bowler allows their bowling and their leadership do the talking for themselves. They do not need to get online and tell the world how great they are. In my top 10-15 would be Daniel Hannigan 2 state championships and a 289 and 300 game on his resume. He was also rank in the top 5 while competing in college bowling. Kyle Garza started all 4 years and went to 4 straight state tournament winning 3 state titles and a 300 game. He knocked down more pin than any bowler in state history. Phillip Ramariz started 3 of his 4 years and 3 state titles and a 300 game on his resume. Most of the guys except for Barnes and White (which should both be on this list) has only been great or just lead their team to only 1 state championship or neither. When you talk about great, look who has led their team to more than 1 state championships. Look who was great for up to all 4 years of their high school career. Then you will find what great is.
  7. To fire a 300 game in the pressure of being in the state tournament should separate the men from the boys. Now start by taking all of those on your list off and add the ones that had shoot a 300 game in the state tournaments. Thats what greatness starts with, being perfect.

Thanks Brink for the kind words about our player, Christina D' Ordine. But lets remember not to disrespect the other great female bowlers in our Great State of Tennessee. Congrats to Kim with Harding County for a great singles tournament with a game of 279 and for Miss Bowler of this Great State of Tennessee. Congrats to Columbia Central girls team and a great coaching staff for a great season and great showing in the state tournament. Your team and parents showed GREAT sportsmanship today and every team in the state should model their program after yours.
  9. Dont know who is Too Funny, but congrats to your girls team. Hendersonville is headed to the state too by shooting 1202, 1134, then put their subs in and shoot 915. Our boys have their work cut out on Monday against Overton. Who ever these guys are that continue to attack these coaches players and teams needs to be band on this site. People like this site to find out what other teams are doing throughout the state.
  10. Congrats to ALL finalist for Mr. Bowler and Miss Bowler in both D1 and D2 divisions. Alway remember that it is a honor to be name a finalist and I believe you ALL are already winners and you represent yourself, your parents, your school, your community and your State well.
  11. WOW, one of the States strongest boys team will not make it to the State Tournament. Smyrna has to beat Soddy to advance. Good luck to both teams, I would to be able to watch that match, not to see either team to lose, but it will be the best Sectional match of the year. Again, good luck to both teams.
  12. Hey Hixon's coach, I hope you all are doing well. By the way, Tom with the Tennessean took that quote out of content. He printed something that was said in a different way, not to put down any team to include yours. Oh, I sorry, you dont have a girl's team. My bad. Here is some info, Hendersonville's girls have suffered 3 girls with hand injuries, and might not make it to the state. Freemon is only letting them bowl on a very limited basis.
