  1. Germantown will probably sneak in. They qualified as a 15 year old team last year plus they are hosting a Q tournament the same week that Chattanooga is and that will cut down on some in state competition.
  2. Sounds like you both believe Beech to be the team to beat in AAA. Hard to believe, mrnoitall and stlbrd agreeing with each other!
  3. The 1st day of practice isn't here yet, but here's what we have learned so far. The Renfoes can pitch, Cheyenne can run, Riverdale will win 7AAA, SP needs a travel team, stealing signs is part of the game, and mrnoitall hasn't hit the powerball or he would have moved his trailer to Brentwood.
  4. You sound like a nice girl, but don't shy away from the praise being giving to you and your teammates. From what I have read it well deserved. Y'all have worked hard to get to the top level, so enjoy the view while you're up there. I hope you heal well and the best of luck to you and your teammates.
  5. You'll be fine over there until they start talking about the oil patterns on the lanes or how many revs they put on the ball.
  6. To make my job easier please tell me your signs and what team you're associated with. I promise not to share them with anyone not on CoachT.
  7. I agree that rivalies make it much more exciting. The one developing between Forrest and TCA will put these girls in the spotlight on the state level. I know that if this is the title game again, I will be watching.
  8. In another thread the issue of sign stealing came up. Is this cheating or just good coaching. I have always found that I would pick up opposing teams signals, but I only used this knowledge when others would use my signs against me. I was more into patterns. Does she always lead off with the same pitch?, What's her "go to" pitch?, Is she more comfortable throwing inside or out?, Etc. We are creatures of habits and tends to work in cycles and repeat those cycles.
  9. Who has the best chance to repeat and who will have the hardest time repeating? I'll get this started. If I were a betting man I would put my money on Goodpasture or GPS to repeat. They both seem to put a good team on the field every year. As far as not repeating I guess that would be Forrest. TCA believes they should have won it last year and with both cannons coming back, they should take the trophy back.

All I was saying was that I disagreed with you about the information on here is unbias. Most everyone on this site is here because they are a fan of some team or player, myself included, this is why they are bias toward such. Smart coaches such as youself use this info to their advantage. That's why you won't see me giving info about players or teams here. Now I might talk about known studs such as Cat Hosfield was last year or teams like Goodpasture or Soddy

I will have to disagree. Most are bias and are posted by parents, coaches (both HS and summer), or alums. That's not saying you can't get some good info from these threads, but the info that's put on here is just another scouting tool for HS coaches. When a private school from the Memphis area plays Cheyenne I know they will be ready for her.
