  1. It wasn't the student section that was the problem. It was the officials. The players did get rattled but not because of the students--it was the horrible refs calling the game one-sided all night long. I don't always agree with MidTn, but he is right on about how this game went. Again, the outcome will not be changed, but it's a shame that the refs took the game from JC. All three should be banned from officiating; the way they called this game should not be allowed against any team. Although it wouldn't give our team another chance, it would serve as some satisfaction. It is time to move on to the girls' board, however. Go JC!!!
  2. I am sure you are as proud of your kid as I am of mine. However, having a game given to your team by pitiful, biased refs does not make your team better than JC. Good luck in the rest of the tournament. May your team face refs that are totally against it from the get-go as well based on the outcome of our game.
  3. Our kids have a little more class than that. The technical should have been a double technical but the ref chose not to see #22 getting it all started. The pushing from #44 would not have happened had #22 not started it. Our #44 is known for not starting anything but isn't going to take it either once someone starts it. This will be my last post on this thread. Enough already . . . the game is over. FCS won thanks to the refs. It's time to move on. Good luck to any of the 7A teams that face the "School." You're going to need it if you get the same refs we had.
  4. The administration would have stopped it??? I was told that even the officer said he didn't agree with it but he couldn't do anything unless the administration told him to.
  5. That's probably true. Pockets of the officials were probably padded well last night from the private school.
  6. Bigdaddy, I hope your "School" gets its due.
  7. This defintely was the worst officiating I have seen, and the outcome had to be decided before the game ever even began. It's sad that this is the game that will always be remembered for these seniors. It's also sad that refs totally controlled the game. When it comes to tournament time, you would think that it would be called fairly on both sides. A few questionable calls can always be expected, but this was as one-sided as it gets the entire game with the exception of the first three or four minutes of the game. Oh well, maybe FCS will get their due when they play Clarkrange.
  8. It's called "home cooking." You would have had to have seen it to believe it. JC was definitely the better team but was not allowed to win. Sad ending for a team that could have gone far. The word is that FCS needs to drop "Friendship" and "Christian" from its school name and just go by "School."
  9. No, it doesn't. Like I said early on, it was a ridiculous thread to even get started. Good luck to all of the teams on Saturday, especially JC
  10. Well said, mrbasketball. I hope our players are back at full strength come Saturday but hear that a couple are pretty sick still.
  11. Good luck to all of the 7A teams going into region play. I hope all teams represent our district well and show good sportsmanship.
  12. I couldn't tell you why the coach wasn't out there, but rather than getting on Coach T and trying to bash JC and its players, why don't you just ask the coach? It's a ridiculous thread to even get started. Go JC!!
  13. They were THAT sick but still tried although the two of them only played about 3 or 4 minutes each. You know, I was pulling for PC in that championship game because I think you all have a great coach. Guess some of you fans are not quite as classy considering the comments you make.
  14. The players who were sick needed to go home and probably shouldn't have even tried to play the game. I don't think that is showing poor sportsmanship.
  15. JC had two starters out, one with the flu and another with a stomach virus.
