CR is the class of Class A, but CR would not win AA nor even be near the top of AAA. It's a faster game with bigger and better athletes.

Not so fast my friend, Clarkrange faired pretty well this summer against Wilson Central, Shelbyville, and several others. So, I do believe they could play with any team at any level and they would be contenders.

I can tell you this. Not many AAA schools want to travel up to the UC and play Clarkrange or Upperman either one or for that matter Jackson County. Don't fret. Polls are just polls.

I'm not fretting. I know polls are just polls. I was only curious about how that happens. Clarkrange, Upperman, and Jackson County can all three play with anybody in the state in any classification. Upperman also dropped two spots this week. It just really hurts the credibility of the midstate girls poll to drop teams that keep winning.

How can a team that has the best record in the midstate if not the state, and just beat the 2nd ranked team by 10 points drop two spots in the midstate poll? Clarkrange was ranked 3rd in the midstate last week. They went on the road and beat Jackson County by 10 points and still dropped 2 spots. Don't forget that when Clarkrange beat Jackson County they were ranked like 5th in the midstate. The only thing it could be is the fact that Clarkrange plays in class A instead of AA or AAA.

There was some UK people there, but dont think it was Mitchell.

 

There were several college scouts at this game, but as we said, not a lot of offense to see if thats what they were looking for... due to two solid defensive efforts. No stalling, just patience by both squads. Very smart teams CR and JC.

You got beat by a better team. The score was not a good indication of how the game went. Clarkrange was in the drivers seat for the largest part of the game. Jackson County fell apart in the 3rd period, and the lady buffaloes never looked back.

Coach Kimes and her daughter should have stayed in Murfreesboro at the hog show and she also needs to show interest in her JV games because she is not doing much with the girl's team. She needs to let go of the jealously that a freshman is going to out play her daughter and everyone should know by name that the freshman I am referring to is Sydney Roach. I feel some of the other freshman girl's should also be considered for more playing time. Emma Ogletree, Kelsie Hix. Let the assistant coach have more input that's what she is there for. Sydney should be getting the ball more especially from Kimes don't just use her for her defense she could be a lead scorer if she could get the ball more and the Coach would quit telling her not to shoot the ball. Why does the Coach feel like she wants Sydney to lose confidence in herself does she think this is going to make her daughter look better I don't think so. Sydney could go to other teams to play I think Coach Brown would be more than pleased to have a player like her. Coach Kimes should stick with hog shows or at least do a better and fairer job of coaching.

I think you are just a "little bit biased" in your opinions. Roach is a good young player but she is not what you are trying to make her out to be. You would do good to remember that when you are good everyone else will let you know. You don't have to beat your own chest. I'm not sure if you are the parent of this young lady or not, but if you are WOW! You are only hurting your child with this kind of a post. It would seem to me from this post and other post about Sydney that you are not happy with the amount of exposure that she is getting. Don't forget that she is a freshman and that she has plenty of time to prove herself. I would also say that Coach Brown would like to have a good young player, but not with the baggage she would be bringing with her. As for Coach Kimes I think she is doing a good job with this team. I also think that Kayla is a better player than Sydney at this point and time.
