  1. Harman was a senior. East also returns Jamal Donaldson, Alex Anderson, and Earving Morris. You should learn these names. Southwind returns Darious Paige, J3, Darius Paige, KD Sullivan, and Jajuan Johnson.
  2. Memphis teams aren't afraid of Rural West Teams. All the top AAA teams played a National Schedule and a game in Newbern is something I'm sure no coach will turn down if offered. I think Dyer County might of been the one avoiding Memphis.
  3. I hope you DC fans see what you're doing. You're taking away credit from a good defensive plan, good players, and their heart by calling Joe Jackson overrated. One game in which he put up 19 points doesn't mean he's overrated trust me. I think the fouls on Jackson is slightly moot, because even with his "overrated a**" in the game DC still could've won if they would've sank their free throws. Jackson is not overrated DC just made him look that way.
  4. And Ridgeway fouled Joe Jackson at the end of the game and he sunk the game wining FTs.
  5. Yes please enlighten on us. I guess you're saying Joe Jackson was playing with 6 fouls?
  6. That doesn't matter to the TSSAA. I believe it is just a regular draw with no guidelines.
  7. I will be very pissed if they pull a Humboldt/Manassas rewind. No way the two best teams should face off in the first round.
  8. Bleh, Patino was probably blabbing about Kentucky and how bad the people from Memphis wanted them to lose.
  9. Did Melrose do a good job of defending Prather?
  10. Dyer County will be up there with Melrose, Central, and Southwind in my top 10 Pre-Season poll and Adsmom nailed it right on the head. The youth of Dyer County is the reason they lost(I believe better clutch FT shooting comes with experience), and to Scout1, this sounded like an epic game, no need to put Sour Grapes in here as well.
  11. I think East will be right up there too. Had Looney stayed at White Station I think they would be in there too.
  12. Some of the young guns will get some big minutes next year. Vontae Hampton will be able to replace some of Jones' scoring mentality, Markell Crawford and K.C. Goodwin(two freshman) will help replace some of Hollimon's three, and Willie Atwood a 6'6 Forward will help block some shots and be a versatile counterpart to Adonis.
  13. 1. Memphis still has a good shot to make the tourney and the way UTEP is playing they could probably get the automatic bid. 2. UNC is probably just off for this year, but they'll be back next year. 3.Recruiting/Transfers happen across the country everytime a kid goes to a different school doesn't mean the coach had to recruit him and I'm not defending Coach JJ, but some of the other coaches. 4.Memphis needs Adonis Thomas >.<" 5.I'm not really sure if Florida is guaranteed a bid yet either.
  14. I think DC should try and keep the game close until the 4th quarter, and then if they're in striking distance thats where they turn it up, defensively. The best way to defend Joe Jackson is to be PHYSICAL. You may get some guys alot of fouls. I don't think the Dyer Co. refs will try and protect Jackson like he is sometimes down in Memphis. In pressing situations, you should take a guy off the ball and have him shadow Joe Jackson for the inbound. When he drives to the lane, there has to be some quick bodies and long arms to help out. In transition...you better hope somebody sets up for a charge, because I haven't seen anyone block a Joe Jackson dunk without him getting fouled. The more physical you are with Jackson the better.
  15. Why White Station in 3A when its clear Melrose is almost untouchable?
  16. Well with Melrose, I think you can see their strengths in ONE TAPE. Especially the regional championships.
  17. Melrose has alot of flim of both players and team. So yes, I think you could get a general aspect on what Melrose and White Station are going to bring to the table. I suggest both schools call some Memphis schools and get some tapes.
  18. I'm from East Memphis, matter of fact Southeast Shelby County. Thank you though, but whatever you say giving someone props and saying they're unstoppable is different.
  19. Transfers happen, in all parts of this state and all over the country. Are you about to talk about that or we about to stick to Northside vs. Melrose or Prather vs. Melrose?
  20. Its not a crime, but basically calling him unstoppable could be considered a crime especially against who he'll be playing against. P.S. Unless Donovan can get another big man duo like Noah/Horford all he'll have is an exciting backcourt and not another championship and Adonis could very well end up at Memphis or UNC no slouches themselves.
  21. You don't have to be on the same level as somebody to defend them! Joe Jackson IS BETTER than Casey Prather and when Coach JJ and the Golden Wildcats decided they didn't want him to score he didn't!. Prather has put his numbers up against competition that Melrose plays its Freshman team against. Once again Craigmont didn't have their best player and Prather hasn't seen any guards with the size of Parks, Thomas, McAfee, or Wilkerson so I guarantee Prather will have to take ALOT of shots to replicate his performance against Craigmont. Other than that Melrose and Orange Mound will kick Northside out the gym, the only way you guys win is if Coach JJ reverts to his pre-post season coaching and tries to win the game with his tactics instead of his studs!
  22. It doesn't matter if they focus on Prather, if they don't have good enough players. Melrose does and alot more. Tevin Wilkerson, along with Adonis Thomas, Jermanine Hollimon, and probably Ced McAfee will all get a shot at Prather.
  23. White Station goes about 9 deep and brings a 6'6 post in Jordan Miles, 5'9 point guard in Julian Burton, 6'3 Forward Rod Tucker, and 5'10 Guard Brandon Bullock. Burton can hurt DC, as it will allow Jackson to play off the ball and Burton can put up some buckets too. Miles will get some garbage buckets down low and plays some good D. Tucker is athlethic and will also be used for defensive purposes. Bullock will come off the bench and look for an open 3.
  24. I would hope so for your sake too. Trezevant has been involved in some games where they haven't even scored 40 points...and still won.
  25. I would disagree about Prather being better than Adonis. He can do all the things Prather does and Craigmont didn't have anyone who could hold Prather. McAfee is at Melrose, and Durham didn't play. Both are excellent defenders as well, and I think Thomas might be the better athlete. Thats how I feel and like everyone else has said, Thomas will have nights he doesn't reach double digits and still win, but he is developing all the other aspects of his games besides scoring.
