  1. its at the high school....which will give the edge to the Mustangs. No one wants to come to that gym and have to face Lipscombs student section under the goal. Get there early if u want a seat. the gym holds 1300 and it will fill up fast.
  2. she actually had strep for a few days but then got a stomach virus. Im not sure why you seem to care that much. The only point i was making is that Dl has had some sickness lately but have played through it and the only reason i made this point is because someone got on here and acted like DL was blaming their loss on sickness because i assure you they are not. Good luck tonight to Ezell and Dl
  3. Good observation but luckily the girls have been fortunate enough to have no one else come down with strep.
  4. Slater PLAYED a game with strep. and agreed that Webb had a great game. She def stepped up where it was needed. HF/CPA will be an intense matchup. HF is more athletic with better scoring ability but CPA plays better defense. The better offense against the better defense. It depends how well CPA contains Bagwell and whether CPA can produce points when HF makes turnovers. CPA and HF both depend on transition points so turnovers will be key. Good luck to both teams. Whoever gets second will give Marshall Co. a run for their money in the semis of region.
  5. DL struggled without Slater at point whether you saw it or not. She is the senior point guard, and it was obvious the offense was not flowing as well without her. You have not seen DL enough if you think this was one of their best games. Bridges was in foul trouble early and Slater was not in. That is two starters that did not play much not just one. Thurley drives to the left side every single time, and DL should have done a better job covering her. Ellenburg dominated the paint. No one could stop her. Once Mitchell (playing no post D) went through Ellenburg to get the ball and no foul was called. That was with about three min to go, and Ellenburg would have been at the line for one and one.(possibly putting the lead to 8) but instead CPA got a quick layup. Turnovers killed DL at the end. The last play DL switched defenses with a few seconds to go which threw the girls off. Keen pulled two charges and has kept some of the best players in the district to minimal points. DL had a foul to give and should have fouled Boyd before the kick out. It was a great game to watch.
