Morristown West is looking for matches and possibly 2 tournaments. Open dates for matches are November 29th December 13th, 15th January 12th, 19th, 23rd February 2nd Open tournament dates (would prefer 1 day tournaments because we can't do over night) December 10th, 17th January 7th, 21st, 28th

Morristown West defeated Greeneville 42 to 40 last night improving their record to 6 and 1

1. Morristown West 2. Morristown East 3. Sullivan East 4. Cocke Co. 5. West Greene 6. Sullivan South 7. Farragut 8. Elizabethton 9. Knox West Finals were Morristown West and Morristown East. Match ended in a 39 to 39 tie and after tie breaker criteria the match went to West

Still need one more team. Cutoff to enter will be tomorrow (Friday, 19th) at 3:00 pm. Also teams will get 1 pound for the tournament.

Morristown West will be hosting the Battle of Morristown Duals on November 27th. We need 1 or 2 more teams right now. Each team will get 4 matches with the top 4 getting trophies. We will be using 4 mats so the tournament is usually over by 4:30. Tournament cost is $125. Weigh ins will start at 7:30 wresting starting by 9 or 9:30. Morristown West has hired Jack Blosser for the head wrestling coach position. Best of luck to the team, and Coach Blosser this upcoming season.

We will be on spring break next week so all interviews will be held hopefully the following week.

tnsmokediver, I would still like an explination on how at the 145 finals you called a takedown. I don't believe anyone in the gym other than you thought that was anything close to a takedown. There was no control, and your explination was weak. Cost our kid the match. That was the only call I questioned that involved our kids. I can't comment on the others but that call was a bit ridiculous especially in a tight match in the finals. Just sayn I believe we were screwed in that match.

Jefferson County 54 Morristown West 28. What I thought would be a close match turned into a slaughter. Hats off to Jeff Co. Much more heart and fight than we had tonight. Well deserved win. Region duals will be held at Jeff Co. Good prediction TD

Morristown West is 6-1 in duals and finished 4th at Indian Classic. Brimer duals are the 29th I believe

Morristown wrestling camp @ Morristown West High School June 1st through 4th 8am to 12. Staff from Morristown East and West along with Seymour will be there. Josh did not make weight so he didn't wrestle

Johnathan won his first match, lost second to natianally ranked opponent 13-5, and got pinned third match. Will post update on Josh when I find out.

Thanks for the post perfessor, I will post results from the next tournament soon as I get them.

I just wanted to thank all the coaches, wrestlers, and parents who congratulated us this week at the tournament. We had a great week, and enjoyed still having wrestlers in it on the third day for the first time in a long time. I believe this is the first all state wrestlers at west in SEVERAl years. Coaching these boys has been an honor. Just glad their hard work and dedication got rewarded. Etown152 thanks for pulling for joe. You gave him two of the toughest matches he had all year. Big congrats to Kole and the staff at Sullivan East for bringing the region home a champion. Thanks again to everyone to supporting us this week, and congrats to all region medalists. Was good to see that after we all try to beat each others brains in during the season, when we got to state we were all one team.
