  1. I listened to the Forrest - Wayne Co. game last night on the internet. Whoever was doing the play by play couldn't see from where they were broadcasting from and apparently was more interested in the folks being tossed out of the crowd than the game, as they made numerous comments about the disrespectful Wayne Co. crowd and didn't say who had the ball, who was shooting, etc in the last quarter.
  2. Friendship had a 20 win season, that's a good season in anyone's book. I personally enjoyed every game I got to see the FCS Lady Commanders play, whether it was at FCS, Eagleville, Ezell Harding, MidTenn Christian (regular season or tourney) or at Watertown. Being that I drive at least 1 3/4 hours to see them play, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. My player will play again, but it is college ball that I'll end up driving to see the next four seasons. I mentioned to Andi's mom and Traci's dad that I won't be there next year to root them on, but I STILL expect great things to come out of the FCS Lady Commanders' 09-10 BB season. Thanks for the memories! Go Big Green!
  3. I did NOT go to private school... local public school all the way thru. College was a public school as well. I just choose to root for private Christian School.
  4. I posted this on the abandoned District 8A thread. Here's my theory and I'm sticking with it. FCS game AWAY at Pickett means the FCS girls are IN SCHOOL all day and have to endure the 2 hour ride to Pickett. Lost but close game. Pickett came to FCS on a SATURDAY (no school for either set of girls) and FCS lost but a very close game. This Friday Pickett will be IN SCHOOL and then endure the 2 hour ride to FCS. I'm hoping the Pickett is tired and doesn't play well. Should be a good game. Go FCS!

  6. Katy Vaughan was named the District 8A MVP. Not many teams have an answer for her, when she stays out of foul trouble.
  7. Andi has come along nicely this year, with tutorial from Carly. I hoping that Andi finds a GOOD AAU team to play with this spring and summer to help her mature her game. FCS loses two starters (Katy Vaughan and Carly Warmath) and two mainly 3 point shooters (Sara Hay and Stephanie Lancaster). The other three starters (Traci Allison, Laurel Burroughs and Andi) will be there next year.
  8. If FCS has just hit their freethrows, it wouldn't have been that close.
  9. I didn't understand Westmoreland's Girls game plan against FCS. Why stall when you either don't have the lead or aren't even close enough to get the lead with a shot? Makes for a rather BORING game. /bored.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bored:" border="0" alt="bored.gif" /> By the way, the scouts were definitely out scouting as both Clarkrange and Red Boiling Springs (I think) coaches were watching this game. I'll agree that there isn't enough parking at Watertown... at least it wasn't raining. FCS boys game was a thriller, but it shouldn't have been that close if FCS had JUST hit their freethrows. Tuesday night should be a great night.
