  1. Thanks glock22 for the ONLY help received. Posted this last night when unable to reach my AD and seeking help. This is apparently a place where you get what you don't ask for and don't get what you do. I do appreciate your help, glock and others who echoed your help. We've since contacted the TSSAA and will handle it from there.
  2. Wow, is it really that hard to get an honest answer around here? Nobody is being conceited, I'm not here slandering anybody or cutting the umpire to shreds. Not lookin to tell my story, just need someone to post a link to an appeal form. That's all. For the last time....can anybody help me out here? Thanks
  3. Thanks that was very helpful and insightful. Now if anyone with a real answer would like to help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
  4. Got thrown out tonight and feel it was over the top and want to appeal the fine. Terry Cordell says I do that through TSSAA website, but its my first time being ejected and I'm not sure where I would go about doing that. If anybody has any help to offer I would appreciate it. Thanks
  5. Just a question......help would be appreciated. Know the rule at the college/pro level, but wasn't sure about a highschool ruling with all the re-entry rules and stuff? Lineup: 1. Player A 2. Player B 3. Player C 4. Player D 5. Player E 6. Player F 7. Player G 8. Player H 9. Player I (DH) 10.Player J (LF) Player I is in the original batting lineup as the DH for the LF, Player J. Late in the ballgame, Player I enters the lineup as the DH is killed and hits in the 8 spot for Player H. Player J then hits in his own spot in the lineup, the 9th spot. Is this possible? *EDIT* Just to clarify, Player I enters the lineup and plays a position as opposed to just DH'ing**
  6. Logan Long is one of the better kids I've seen in the area this year at the plate. Definitely the best hitter out of the A schools around here. If he grows a little bit over the next couple years, this kid will be a big time player. He had a heckuva weekend in the Ooltewah Invit. last weekend. Tied the game with a 2-run double against us and hit a walk-off 2-run HR against McMinn Co. the next night. Not a big kid, but he swings it.
  7. I mean no offense by this, but I'd hate to think we don't finish at least somewhere in the middle of that pack? Brainerd? Howard? I mean I know we're young and all but c'mon fellas! But seriously.....I'm assuming you mean District 6. How bout 7? I only got to see Sequatchie play. I like the new coach at Bledsoe, seems like a good guy and wants to win. Grundy I don't have a clue and it sounds like CCS played well. Anybody see those guys?
  8. We saw some pretty good talent on Saturday. Zach Stevens at Soddy is one of the better bats in the city as far as I'm concerned. He's much improved from last year which is a scary thought considering he hit what? 17 bombs last year? If he doesn't try to do too much, he's one to watch. Watched their lefty throw against Seq. Co and he was filthy for this early in the year. I think its McWilliams.....he looked great while I was there. Cole Brand from Bradley played well against us. He's the one that makes them go it seems. If he plays well, they seem to follow. He's got a big arm. Had a clutch AB against us to go ahead in the 5th. Their 1b is a big kid who can swing it a little bit as well. Shortstop made a couple slick plays in the middle. Lookout Valley was about like I expected: very well coached, fundamentally sound. Nobody jumps out of their lineup as a superstar, but a couple big bats, one at 1st and one in RF. Catcher was pretty good. We saw McMinn Co. to end the night and their ace was on the bump. BIG kid, who is apparently a JR. I'd say he sat mid 80's for 2 innings and attacked the zone. He's a horse. He'll be one to watch this year and a bigtime player next year as a senior. They're a big team with a good number of ballplayers. Shortstop was a little guy, but he swung it well and jumped all over the piped fastball he saw from us. We got to their bullpen later in the game. Saw the tail end of Red Bank/Baylor. Baylor has a couple burners who really could run. Didnt seem to hit like they did last year, but had a couple good bats. Red Bank had a couple big kids that could swing it a little, their pitcher was pretty aggressive around the plate. 2 Pretty decent teams I'd say. As for the Irish, we played ok. Tinkered with the lineup a little to get some guys so ABs, but overall I'd say we're gonna be ok. Definitely young, with only 3 upperclassmen. But lots of talent in our Sophomore class and a couple Fr. who can really play. Played 2 good games, 2 poor games. I'd say against schools our size and in district, we'll definitely compete well. I'd love to hear what everyone else saw. As a 1st year head coach, I'm Still gettin the lay of the land in Chattanooga HS baseball.
  9. I don't know Aaron real well, but we played against eachother a number of times in college as he was at Lee while I was at Bryan and he was always a great player with a lot of class and definitely knows how to play the game. I can't speak towards his ability to teach the game, but from what I do know of him and the fact that he coached under Brew at Lee I'd be willing to bet he'll do a great job. As a fellow new, young head coach in this district, I would urge you to concern yourselves with supporting the program rather than starting rumors of its demise. Give Simmons a chance. I've had nothing but incredible support from the parents and supporters at Notre Dame since I was hired last month and in the long run it will pay tremendous dividends both for me and my guys at ND. The guy has done nothing wrong, and before you know it I'm sure you'll be back on here singing his praises. All of the complaining on here (and in real life) will only make his road that much tougher. As young coaches we already have a lot to prove and accomplish and it is those who have a strong support system and backing who are often able to accomplish great things early in their careers. For the sake of your program, your kids and for Aaron, get behind Sequatchie Baseball AND its new Head Coach and stay there, even if it means keeping a negative opinion to yourself instead of blowing him up on CoachT. I for one am excited to have another great young coach in the disctrict and hope he and I will be battling for the district title for many years to come. Goodluck to him, and we'll see Seq. Co. on the diamond in the spring. Drew Friedrich Head Coach Notre Dame Baseball
  10. We're looking at April 2-9 and right now I'm open to any part of Florida, I'm just really looking at our options trying to find the best cost, best tournament, good location, etc. Ideally that first Friday, the 2nd of April would be our travel day, have the weekend off potentially since its Easter weekend, and then play Monday through Friday, and return on Saturday, but not sure whats out there. I've heard of Jupiter having something?
  11. As a new HS Coach in the area, I am looking to fill my schedule for this coming spring, and am interested in taking my guys to Florida for some good old Spring Break Baseball!! I know of the Disney complex and the Cocoa Expo.....any other ideas? Where have you taken your teams? Good pricing? Experience? Any help would be great. Thanks! 12. Thanks so much! That would be a great help!
  13. NOTE: Any help with this is GREATLY appreciated I have recently been hired as the new Head Coach at Notre Dame HS and am looking to begin a summer program for our team. I know I am late in the game, but I was just hired and need to fill our schedule in as best I can. I am looking for mid-week games in the evening throughout the month of June. Some of our guys are playing summer travel ball on the weekends, but I would love to play some mid-week games with our guys. Anybody have any openings or ideas about who I might call to schedule games? We're open to playing anybody from A to AAAAA as long as we're playing ball. We are willing to travel to play away games if necessary. Also, if there are any travel ball tournaments looking for an extra high school age team, we are interested in entering.
