  1. Wasn't neccesarily talking about you saying that but several others on here have
  2. This proves what I have been saying the whole time. Why is Eubanks supposedly fighting for his job when it seems even players and students understand that Indy was going to have a down year. Hopefully this year will be better. I don't understand why it is so hard for some people to show other school a little respect and sportsmanship and simply abmit that on that particular day Page was better they beat us no excuses and we need to get better. That will make all of us better players, better team, and better individuals in the long run. Now can we please discuss Indy 2009 season and not last year.
  3. Please,Please,Please get facts straight. It decided on before the scrimmage that both teams starters would only play a couple series or 20 snaps at the most. Page scored and a couple INT's from THE STARTING QB and Smith. Page pulled their starters and Independence left their one's in for another series. If I was a coach I would have done the same thing to get the offense some confidence. One's against one's Page won 14-0. All of that matters to no one. Page would not have done well in Indy's region either. But as Indy supporters we should not be comparing ourselves to Page as the are 3A. We have over 1000 more students and should be concerned with Franklin, Brentwood, etc.etc. I hope that the Independence players are looking more towards the big picture not a meaningless scrimmage against a 3A school. No disrespect to Page intended they beat us and that is that. But Page should mean nothing to us unlesse we play them in the regular season.
  4. And again I will say that Page had Neel playing out of position out of necessity. Neel is not a QB and he will tell you that. He is an athlete and as far as athleticism much better that Smith or Heckman. heckman is the better QB and to some stint a better leader but to say Neel would not have started a RB and Safety is rediculous unless you just let True 4.55 or better players ride the bench. Indy does have some athletes I am just saying for some to get on here and bash the coaching staff for last season is nutz. We were inexperienced and young and in 5A that usually equates to losses. It is not the game planning or the coaching. Other schools had more mature athletes.
  5. Other than everyone else pointing out the ignorance of you post I thought we were disussing why Indy didn't win last year. Comparing every single team to the one that went to the State Championship is not only rediculous but unfair as other posters have pointed out that it is rare to have that many returning guys coming back. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  6. I apologize for that statement about them being better I should have worder it differently. Those 3 would have played at Indy last year. You are right Neel would not have started at Qb over Heckman or Smith but he would have been that RB that we were looking for. I came to the scrimmage that Page had against Indy and Lankford was the best LB and overall football player on the field. Wisdon would have started at corner. Again let me apologize I never meant to offend any Indy athlete I support Fairview and Indy very much and try to go to several of their games every year when work allows. The fact that you could only mention 4-5 players you feel were better than those 3 from Page kind of makes my point that Coach Eubanks was expected to compete in the hardest region in the state with very average athletes for the most part. Hard to win 5A games with the number of athletes you typically see a 3A school have.
  7. Well actually Campbell was trying to give the job to someone else and the parents made a big stink forcing him to hire Johnson. Campbell is the biggest reason Johnson left though. Rumor has it that the Frankling Coach is going to be hired as the next Indy B-Ball coach. Campbell has also forced Eubanks to hire Sanders who was at Franklin and let go because he wasn't doing a very good job. I think his name is Sanders.
  8. Oh where to begin. Wisdom graduates this year "moron". Tobacco is a heck of a lot different than weed, steroids, etc genius. And again you refer back to 07 because you can't back up your statements on the present. And it is county policy that any student fighting goes directly to Juvie Einstein. Lastly when you talk about schools being better academically then have your story straight pinhead. Page has higher test scores on every single standardized test that the states judges schools on. That's right higher gateways, higher end of course, higher AP tests(except for history), and you guessed it CCA's. Page and Brentwood are the only schools in the county to have no one fail gateways. Pettigrew and Consiglio are great young men however Consigs is not DI he is in DI AA just to be factual. No comment for the Dade county rant as it made no sense. Glad to see Campbell has turned it around and there are no problems. As for basketball well there is a reason I am on a football board and not the basketball one. Didn't Indy's Bball coach get fired due to old grudges? Obviously an example of Campbell "sorting things out". Look at the facts before downing another school WACKBROWN. And maybe if you had a little talent and got out and played football instead of looking up the weight numbers while everyone else is working out then you would be a little more knowledgeable. Now that I am done with Junior Dumb #### I was not trying to offend INDY. I go to most of there games. My daughter will be there eventually I was just saying that the leadership mainly in the office drives students away. Henry didn't want to share athletes with football and Smith when he was there didn't want to share with BBAll. Hopefully the new BBall coach will have a different philosophy as I know Eubanks tries to get a long with all. Wacko was correct about one thing every schools has its share of bad kids but for the most part Indy has good kids. Good kids don't neccessarily make good football players. The freshman class is loaded so help is coming if Campbell allows Eubanks to last that long. They now need good leadership to go with it. Maybe Campbell will be it but from what I am hearing I wouldn't be to sure.
  9. They should take the number of males at each school and divide them up that way. That would force the privates to play at the highest level and would be fair to everyone
  10. This may be the most ignorant statement yet. Neel, Lankford, and Wisdom that played for Page were more talented than any player that Indy had last year. The pitcher for Page (Garrett)? that came from Indy is a legit D-I prospect and would be the best pitcher on Indy's team. The reason that so many kids transfer from Indy is one of 3 reasons: 1-there is a huge drug problem at Indy and parents want there kid away from that. 2-A lot of the athletes at Indy feel they do not get a fair shot due to school/parent politics 3-they get in trouble and think they will get away with it at Page (these are usually sent back at the break.) Indy is just simply not as talented as all you mommies and daddies think they are. Eubanks does an outstanding job. I talked to a teacher at Page the other day and he started talking about all the problems Page used to have with drugs and the kids not doing what they are supposed to do, and parents not parenting, and just the over all lack of discipline that Page students had 4-5 years ago. He says it has been an amazing change and the only thing that happened was Independence opened up. Now I find it interesting to see Independence is suffering from that same attitude. See when Indy opened Page struggled athletically for 2-3 years but the whole school atmosphere improved. Now they get athletes coming from Indy wanting to be a part of that atmosphere. Good kids with good attitudes and discipline want to be around others that have those same qualitites. Apparently the bad kids and bad attitudes and lack of parenting really overshadows the good kids at Independence. You can say what you want but the fact are the facts. I feel that the administration, teachers, and coaches at Indy are at a disadvantage because of the sucky attitudes of many of the students that filters from the parents. I have even talked to Independence teachers and they agree. That is why there is such a huge turn over every year in teachers at Indy. That is why there has been one scandal after another. If anything Eubanks should be rewarded for showing these kids stability, commitment, and loyalty.
  11. Facts are facts!! I guess the more you post on this site the more knowledgable about football you become. Dang Coach T you need to be charging more. I will let you in on another little fact. A few years ago we had names for guys like you. The name was Dumb toe Hughes will get whats coming. One of his assistants will stab him in the back sooner or later. He will reap what he has sowed.
  12. Lets take a look at facts here people shall we: 1-This new saviour of a peice of crap principle ran off Johnson from Franklin when he first got there. We see how good that went. I know we will have all these know it alls say Johnson left on his own. Don't buy that load of garbage. Campbell was making his life heck at Franklin and TJ got tired of it and left. Campbell then brought in his old coach who is there now. If you just look at the numbers Franklin has been successful but when you figure they have the best athletes in middle TN. if not the state the last couple of years then one could say they have under achieved. 2-Campbell has now ran off Henry (who I can't stand) but was a great coach that got his kids to over achieve. Look for him to bring in another ego maniac much like himself as the replacement. 3-He brings a new AD who also helped to coach football this past year. Well my sources tell me this AD has since resigned his football coaching duties. My guess would be he wants to distance himself from the rest of the football coaches in preparation for the firing if INDy has a bad season. 4-Indy's fans. Well the actions at last game says it all. 5-Parents need to realize that b/c their child runs a 4.7 which makes a good High School football player it doesn't translate to a major college player. Hint the D-I schools are looking for the 4.4's I just speak truth, honest, and integrity.....all things that are lacking with the support of this staff.
  13. I believe everyone is missing the real tragedy out in Fairview. You have a Middle School coach who has done nothing but undermine every single coach that has been at the High School. Whether it has been encouraging kids not to play in high school, to encouraging them to go to other schools, to bad mouthing the staff in public, he has done it all. He is a sneaky little punk that stabs everyone in his way in the back to get what he wants. Then you have this joke of an AD/County Commissioner that helps him get to his position. As an AD he has a right to make this hire but to use his power as commissioner to control and shove this little worm down everyone's throats should end in his being removed from the position of Commissioner. Actions like these are the reason Fairview remains the joke of Williamson County. You have great people in the commmunity but the actions of a few in power brings down the whole town. The principles of that school needs to grow a pair and stand up to the almighty Commish and do what is right for the kids for a change. I predict Fairview will have a good season this year in spite of the coaching due to the work of the previous staff. but in years 2-3 you will see the program go down. Enjoy the fall becuase the journey back will be hard and difficult!!
