The MBA catcher is pretty good defensivly. No too strong of a hitter though.

As an MBA alum, I am not used to the baseball program being so bad. What is the deal? Is their no talent on the team? Losing 3 to BA by 10 or more is not a good sign. When is it too early to start playing for the future? Are their any young guys that can lead the non-existent offense and step it up?

Dickson Co. lost to MBA tonight. They did not look very good. MBA however is looking much better than I thought they would be. Sleeper?

Not surprised, and who are the fresh and sophmores starting?

Centennial beat MBA 10-9 today. Centennial's pitching was awful. MBA was up 9-4 in the bottom of the 7th before they brought in a sophmore that blew the game. Tony Kemp was 0-0 with 4 walks and one hpb. No stolen bases and an error also.

I agree Lipscomb will have a good year because of their offense not defense. And as for Goodpasture, I think they have the potential to win another title.

Well it is good to hear us MBA alums have something to look forward too. Does Kohls or Kay, being the only freshman to make the team, have DI Potential in your opinion Brenth? (Im asking you this because you seem to have seen them play)

I just finished eating lunch with an MBA baseball dad and he said the team is not looking to good at this point. He did say there is a solid group of younger players; Joe Rielgle, Elic (sp?) Hunt, James Kay, and Alex Coals (sp?) are some of the good younger players. Does anyone have info on their positions or if they can play?

I'm pretty sure the coaches are Thomas Wims and Mike Anderson.

you may have a point there, but I feel like its all schools in DII that are pressuring kids to just play one sport. It may also be that the MBA baseball crop just has not been to good lately. WillBrenth you seem to know alot, are there any good players that are young that MBA has to look forward to?

Goodpasture must have some good offenses in their district because when i saw them they could throw some heat. Lipscomb may have many seniors but no one with break away speed. Thier offense is not bad though they have a few guys who can hit for distance and power. Zach for serious power.

I didn't think they would be. I heard their mostly a young team and their senior class is not very good. I think the team is mostly made up of juniors and a few freshman and sophmores. That may not be true though thats just what I heard.

MBA lost 7 starters off last years team, but does anyone know how they will be this year? I've heard they have a few young guys that are pretty good, but does anyone have details on them? Do they have the pitching or hitting to make a run at the title? Who will replace their big hitters like Mishu and Harris off last years team?

I do not think Lipscomb will be that impressive this year. Their pitching is not that great. Goodpature, however, should look to get a third straight title. Does any one know how MBA will look this year? I know Wise and their catcher will be back but who else is getting to play? Are their any younger guys ( Frsh/Soph) making the lineup?
