  1. Hard to beat a team that is playing 8 vs 5? LOL. Its not like those extra 3 players can shoot the ball or post up for some lay ups. Come on now. As i said. I'm a college athlete, take nothing away from any team. You will always blame the refs in what was a close game and you lost, and in your mind was questionable. But even in high school i helped play against morgan. I know she is one of the most intelligent players in drawing falls. She doesn't look for them, but she knows exactly where/how to move and predict what the player is gonna do. Its not as though she's flopping, but there's plenty of contact there. Ref's are just a bad excuse for losing. I wasn't able to attend the game, but i've watched every game so far where people complained about ref's, and it was bad both ways. If it's both ways no one gets an advantage.
  2. Coach patterson is one of the best coaches around. This isnt the only team he has led to state tournament. Correct me if i'm wrong, but he took trenton peabody too. He's always had well disciplined and IMO underestimated teams. Not only is coach patterson a great coach, but he is a great role model for the girls. I dont think i've met a man as kind and motivating not only on the court, but off as well. Madison girls are up 29-18 last i heard.
  3. I don't find that to be true at all about madison being a one player team. Madison is a very discipline defensive teams. Infact i'd say 3 out of the 5 on the floor are better defenders than faulkner. No offense to her, but the the team is very defensive and strong character wise. Madison has very good perimeter shooters, both the sopcak's, patterson, and faulkner are all great shooters. When Morgan is struggling others will step up and play. Tess sopcak hit 3 massive 3 pointers the other night against bradford when Faulkner was having a tough night. Congrats madison. You are a great TEAM!
  4. I hear in the upper 20's. I hear around 25 or 26? lol. What an outstanding performance in the second half. I think they were just getting the butterflies out of their stomachs in the first half. And came out to play in the second half. I wasn't there so i dont know what happened, but that just sounds like what happened. Outscoring PC 35-16 in the second half is quite an amazing job done by the girls.
  5. final score 44-32 LADY MUSTANGS! Congrats PC. Good year, good luck next season. Congrats all the seniors on madison's team. You guys are something else /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  6. 41-32 madison with 30 seconds left! CONGRATS GIRLS!
  7. 38-32 minute and a half left Lol north..... I'm not here to argue who's going to win. Madison IS winning, and i'm just giving the updates on the game. Congrats to whoever wins, but my lady mustangs look to be victorious here /smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  8. i hear 33-27 with under 4 remaining. I hear faulkner is running riot /biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> 32-35 3 mins left madison up i think still. 36-32 2 mins left
  9. Lol thanks guys. Take care. Good season!
  10. Well thank you. I do appreciate that. I saw a little bit of unnecessary pushing and shoving after the game. And I do offer apologies on the part of madison whom was involved. When you have so many fans one principle can't offer to much assistance. To be honest that was up to the police. BUT police probably couldnt see anything, and Madison fans were excited to win, and were being careless when they ran into a few players of yours. I doubt anyone intentionally did it, as we had no problems with your team on the floor, so i can't see any reason to intentionally intend to run into them or what not, but I do offer apologies to those involved. You guys have a good team, and a good group of supporters, but as i said. The game is over. People can be blamed, but i thought alot of unnecessary criticism towards madison's girls at state shouldn't happenings. As i wish your girls the best of luck next year.
  11. I am a graduate from Madison last year. I will make this clear from the start. I am not here to bash ANYONE. Fighting over a game is silly. I don't know who started it or what. What I am about to say is strictly opinion. I am a college athlete. First thing to understand is I know how it is to lose an important game like that. I've been there and done that 3 out of my 4 years in high school. 90% of the time you will blame it on referees, whether the game was fairly called or not. And just because people are taunting each other on a message board still doesn't make it right to take any credit away from madison. You have to remember, Madison's girls showed NO disrespect to you, or your team. Please dont make comments such as "your stay at the boro will be short and yada yada." Thats not fair to the girls who have been working for 4 years for this moment. You wouldn't want that being said about your girls. I thought the support from your fans was great for an away game. I didn't see many high schoolers in your section, so i think that is really neat how you guys had all the parents and people of your community supporting your team. That's a great thing to see and thats what makes the sport what it is. I'll be honest though, I thought the game was fairly called. Both sides had questionable calls. I will openly admit that. My roommate from gibson even said before the game you guys played a different style of basketball and you guys played rough basketball. We found that to be true, but the thing is basketball isn't really intended to be full-contact. Of course its going to happen, but my roommate said you guys had players foul out every game, so that was no surprise you had 3 players foul out. I am not making my assumption off that and saying "yes all your players should have fouled out", but that was an unbiased opinion. He actually said you guys would probably beat Madison. I thought in the first half the referees were calling very little under the basket, and in the paint, but more out on the floor and perimeter. And they were niggly fouls. Both teams had them. But of course the rougher team is always gonna get more niggly little fouls on them. I was quite certain after watching most of the first half we were going to lose, but a shift in moment could have caused more frustration and possibly fouling on your part, i am not sure. But also, madison players weren't going to the basket completely strong, which made it hard to determine if they were being fouled, or if it was not a foul. That is completely up to the referee. You can say it wasn't. We can say it was, but our opinions don't matter. I though you guys had very good speed on the perimeter plays, and 2 very big girls in the post area, which makes a nightmare for just about any team. I congradulate you guys on how well you did this year, but I though coach Patterson did an amazing job. Taking nothing away from Madison's players. As they have taken nothing away from yours. No one from the girls team has said anything offensive towards your team. So just remember that these are high school girls. Give them your support, as i would do for your girls. I was just trying to break some unnecessary tension on these boards, because alot of things are being said that shouldn't. But congrats to both teams and good luck madison at state!
