I left thinking it was over with less than a minute on the clock.

She has a decent outside shot but has to drop the ball too low & slows her release. That can be corrected as she gets stronger though. Only doubt I would have is she played at 2 or 3 different middle school teams in overton co & dont think it was because of moving. Parents took her to UHS so she would definetly start. I would have to question team commitment. Seems like a really sweet girl though & plays fearless with passion.

Conrats to SC ending UHS's season and pulling the upset.

I wouldn't bet on it but she is very young & may grow, ect... Sky is the limit. I also liked Megan Thompson from the state champ LA team. She controlled the whole game.

Krantz was 5' 5 at most. My bad she was listed as 5' 7.

I was on the boys team at LA when Amy Brown was there. None of us could guard Amy lol & trust me we tried between practices. She had the patented fade away. Hackett is the best player I have seen from SC & you would have to go back a long way to find a better point guard in our district. Maybe Krantz

Sounds to me like a few other fans are jealous & trying to cause some turmoil within the LA team with the tourney upon us. Tourney time is hogeye time in 8AA! No outside attempts will shake them! Pickett better worry about 7a or they may have to get ready for baseball. Oh wait, they are doing away with baseball so they can concentrate on becoming a football powerhouse. Cant have baseball players messing up the football field. A shame for the kids that play baseball. I would take care of my own b4 I worry about someone else's!

Well our players that made the all defensive team deserved the honor. You can cause 5 turnovers & someone else get the actual steal. So numbers dont tell the whole story. They work their butt off every possession & anyone watching can see that. Coaches who vote on this dont care as much about numbers as the effect that player has against the flow of their offense. As for 3rd team, I think you could throw Crowder, Gore, Qualls, Miller, Dillon, or Clark in there(I would hate to try & pick 2 out) This team is that balanced. I think we got snubbed on 2nd team & hands down Gore is most improved!

A coach doesnt vote for his own players. All awards were pretty unanimous per coaches from what I have heard.

Upperman hasn't impressed me that much. An upset is definitely possible. I see LA and CM playing for the district title.

Help me with this co champions please. Both had 3 losses & LA won the head to head (both games). How does co champion come from that? Is that the Mcwilliams format or 8aa format?

LA boys basketball have been to 5 of the last 7 state tourneys and the girls have been to 5 of the last 8 state tourneys.

Not sure but Hunter Mcdonald from LA also signed with tech today.

Yeah I wouldn't worry about LA if I was CC. Dont even guard eldridge either because he is a non factor lol. I beleive LA might just be able to keep the next (if there is a next) game competitive. I may be wrong but I think if that is the only time you saw LA this year, you may not want to draw too many conclusions from that game. Again, congrats to CC. Controlled every facet of the game. Two areas that suprised me was turnovers & lack of rebounding. Maybe some adjustments can be made so our ponies can try & keep up with the mighty cannon horses! Congrats to Wade Eldridge for signing with Tn Tech today to further his academic & football career!

CC definetly has a good press & great atmosphere. LA has way more depth than york so dont see fatigue being an issue. This will be a great one! Thanks for the respect & likewise the CC program has earned everyone's respect including mine.

Since york has already beaten Macon once then wouldn't it be another tie if MC wins tonight? That would make MC 8-5 & York 7-6 with a split. Then wouldn't it come down to each teams last game? Cause im picking SC to beat MC this week & york to beat cm. Then both teams would be 8-6. What a mess!

LA 76 CC 64. LA is much improved since the last meeting. The upperman game was a big confidence boost for the team. They went to baxter & beat them without Eldridge & since then Hayes, Clark, Miller, & Dillon have really stepped up off the bench. Too many weapons. I think CC press caught la off guard last time & will be handled better tonight.
