  1. Well same ole same ole for our Lady Tigers, could not make it to the game but listened on the radio. We will never take that next step with the schedule we play and the work ethic we have but that's my thoughts, some people are okay with play Boyd in the six game series.
  2. Yes hope he is going to be okay. After watching CC last night for the first time, they are very good team, our boys could not muster anything at all.
  3. This district is wide open with all the teams being solid. Was really shocked with York winning, little worried about my Lady Tigers now after them getting beat like they did last night at Cannon, we never got into a flow, CC was ready to play last night. York's win last night makes it wide open
  4. It seems like we play Boyd every week. Hopefully it stops now ha, the soft schedule is hurting us in big games. We should have won the Macon County game, but when you are not battle tested with late game situations its tough. But oh well we won a championship in our Christmas Tourney,
  5. Games this Friday night in 8-AA, what do you think? Upperman at DeKalb County Cannon County at Central Macon County at Livingston Smith County at York I think our Lady Tigers have a shot to beat Upperman again this year at home if we play like we are capable of playing and score the basketball, defending Upperman could cause us problems they must have played well vs Central the other night. Central wins easily over Cannon County, Cannon is okay but Central is really good and have good players to handle Cannon. La beats Macon as bad as they want, as does Smith County over York thoughts????
  6. Yes Iceman I hope Lady Tigers figure Warren County out, games like that will be good for them I the long run. Saw where Cannon County beat Warren the other night, and then Coffee beat them. Hope that's a good sign for us, afraid Cannon County may be better than everyone thought at first.
  7. Just a little afraid that we will not be ready for the challenge. Open the newspaper and see the sports writer talk about the quality of dominate wins during the games Friday and Saturday, putting all those teams together does not give us one quality team to play against. Warren County looks by there scores to be better, hope our zone looks good tomorrow night and we are making shots from the outside to open up play for us. This game will be good for the Lady Tigers to get them ready for district play.
  8. Maybe todays first game vs Trousdale will be a good game but doubt it. The girls played hard but this is a joke playing these teams. Saw where Central beat Riverdale and Cannon County beat Franklin County last night. Central must be the real deal.
  9. It all starts this coming week, hope all teams have good weeks of practice what are some notable hall of fame games? We have seen DC schedule but who else plays other teams that would be worth going to watch?
  10. Macon County has always had a very solid program and yes they were in the state finals for 2 years, but they were not members of 8-AA, not disrespect on what they did when they were in another district but this district night in and night out is a total different animal.
  11. Iceman, I have also heard the samething, if it is true and she does leave kind of silly for her to come to DC in the first place, she seems to be a good kid and good player hope she stays.
  12. Yes agree program is better but time to take the next step stop talking about it and do it
  13. Iceman you are right the problem with our program here at DeKalb is the plain and simple fact as always we look great during the summer always have, we practiced everyday this summer every morning in july and the girls worked really hard, but then school started back and it stopped. Also as for the schedule wbryguy, I have seen this years schedule, hall of fame games vs Riverside Christian, St Andrews, Boyd, Chatt Patriots and others, regular season games vs Sewanne, Monterey, Boyd, Chattanooga, Warren and Gordonsville will not get us ready for 8-aa and its a shame that the administration allows us to play this schedule its a fake way to get 20 wins. I agree play a Cookeville or White County, everyone else in District 8-AA challenges themselves
  14. Wbryguy- District 8-AA will be very good this year but at end of it all, LA and Cannon will be matching up for the big show. Upperman will always be good with McWilliams at the helm, from what I have heard from the summer, Macon County could be the sleeper. But we will see
  15. How does this year shape out? Love to see what people think, here are some thoughts: 1. Livingston- to much fire power and a great coach who always gets the most out of all of her players. No better place to play and watch a game than at Livingston. 2. Central Magnet- Obi is really good and the transfer that they got in from Siegel is solid player to add to the mix. 3. Smith County- Hackett is very good player, new coach maybe new style. 4. Upperman- good young players coming in, could be really good this year . 5. Cannon County- lost a lot of good players last year, not sure how good the younger players are but they have had a great run. 6. Macon County- return solid post and good guard, always a tough place to play. 7. DeKalb County- good group coming back and a good freshman, in any other district would be top 3 probably, but tis district is really good and Lady Tigers scheduling is still big question, got to play better teams to get better. 8. York- new coach but still same problem all talent is at Clarkrange.
