  1. This was truly a great game. It's unfortunate that someone had to lose. It came down to a team making one more play than the other. I'm an Elizabethton fan, but kudos to Westview. Rechis is a great player. But for a couple of Lady Cyclone miscues and a questionable charge/block call late, the outcome would have been different. Anyway, great job Coach Dugger and Lady Cyclones on a memorable season! Stay hungry and focused and you can go back to the State Tourney next year. Let's make it a habit. Go Cyclones!!!
  2. Coach Tolley and all Bulldog fans should be proud. The Lady Bulldogs showed a lot of heart and represented Hampton and Carter County very well. I'm an Elizabethton fan, but pull for all CC teams in post season. I was pulling for the Lady Dawgs all the way. I know the semifinal loss was disappointing, but take pride in the unbelievable accomplishments that you achieved this year. Great job!
  3. I agree. I've seen at least some portion of the last 6 Boys' State Tourneys and I must admit that it appears the TSSAA has placed an emphasis on offensive fouls, i.e. charges vs. blocks. I witnessed the same thing last week in the Girls' games that I attended. As a matter of fact, a called charge (that was actually a block) directly affected the outcome of a game.
  4. I didn't see any of the games today, so can someone that did comment on the officiating. How was it? Personally, I was disappointed to see that H. Henson is representing Region 1. We have several better options to choose from. IMO he's mediocre at best. He has an attitude as well. You know, the typical arrogant attitude of "I've never missed a call in my life so how dare you question my discretion or competency." BTW, I saw several of the Girls' games last week and the Region 1 delegate, Compton, represented well.
