  1. Austin Gibson, Jr LB/OL #51 is also out for the year, he suffered a heat stroke after the game at Centennial which was the last scrimmage for them before the season started. That was a rough day for the Jr class at MJ with Danny#9 also suffereing the broken arm. Austin was in ICU for two days, due to his kidneys started shutting down. It was a very trying time for both him & his family. The heat this summer was just brutal. I hope to see him next year. I will be pulling for the bears, it sure would be nice to beat the "WAVE" on our field. Good Luck to all the guys, go get um'
  2. Update from the MJ scrimmage, Danny will be out at least 3 months, not sure about Austin Gibson. He is to return to his doctor on Thursday for a follow up. I pray that each of these boys make a full recovery. GO BEARS!!
  3. Another key player that was lost on Tuesday was Austin Gibson (Jr-LB) was rushed to emergency room by ambulance from his home with a heat stroke. He spent two days in ICU, then sent home only to be taken back from a delayed reaction to different medications. He is now home resting and our prayers are with him and his family. GO BEARS
  4. I have a question for all you people who don't believe in the coach, who do you think Christian Gibson, Paige McFarlin, & Casey Pigue are? They played at the state & were very important in the championship run they made. What people have a problem with is this is a TEAM!!! and he is the COACH, not one single person, even with The Alysha Clark, she did not pass the ball to herself, now did she? There is one thing you can say about this COACH (It is his team & the girls believe in him) so back off if you don't have anything positive to say. I promise you this his veterans are who will help this team win. The underclassman have already learned so much from those girls (Seniors) on & off the court. GO LADY BEARS
  5. Please don't tell me you think MJ does not have heart. They did not have their leader last game, hopefully she will make a difference. I don't care what anyone says MJ works as hard as any team out there, also MJ plays with the girls in their area. They don't have the luxury of changing schools, just for athletic reasons like Rutherford County. I don't care if they did have to sit out a year, you should play with the girls in your own neighborhood. Go Lady Bears!! Show them why you are the defending STATE CHAMPTIONS.
  6. THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN IGNORE JESSICA MOONEY, SHE IS A MIDDLE TN GIRL ALSO. I STILL FEEL A MS BASKETBALL CANDIDATE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE HER SCHOOL TO THE NEXT LEVEL, AND SHE HAS DONE THAT.
  7. GOOD JOB GIBBY, YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT FOR THAT PROGRAM. SO FAR THRU HER CAREER SHE HAS 451 ASSISTS. SHE IS DEFINITELY A TEAM PLAYER, NOW THAT SHE IS BACK FROM HER INJURY 9 AAA BETTER BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR MT. JULIET. THEY SHOULD GO FAR THIS YEAR, MAYBE A REPEAT. WOULDN'T THAT BE WONDERFUL. BY THE WAY CHRISTIAN IS A FOUR YEAR STARTER. MJ WENT TO THE STATE HER FRESHMAN YEAR BUT LOST TO SHELBYVILLE IN THE FIRST ROUND. GREAT WRITEUP ON CHRISTIAN, HERE IS THE WEBSITE www.wilsonpost.com
  8. Does anyone know what time the game is on Saturday vs Oakland? Go Lady Bears By the way, Mt. Juliet has the best coaching staff in the state, sometimes things do not always go our way, but you have to keep working to achieve your goals. There is no team that works harder than Fryer's and his girls believe in him and that is all that matters, CASE CLOSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. Mt. Juliet Lady Bears are playing in the Kroger Holiday Classic in Pickerington, OH December 28th thru 30th First game is against Pickerington Central, OH on Dec. 28th Their web site is as follows: http://pickeringtonpanthers.com/
  10. First of all I would like to stop all this going back & forth between Metro & Midstate, lets all remember we all live in Middle Tennessee. I am personally friends with Jess Mooney and think the world of her. Christian Gibson has never been a dirty player, competitive & headstrong, I would have to agree. At this time, she is injured and it is killing her not to be on the floor. I wish only the best for Jess & her family. He was not the person who said she was dirty, it was R one (something). He is the real problem on this thread. He was the only one who said she was dirty player and then it just snowballed. Let's encourage our girls to be better players and most of all us adults should show them to be better people.
  11. Whites Creek will play who ever wins between Hillwood & Statford

  13. I would like to congradulate Casey Pigue on her signing today with University of Arkansas Little Rock. Hopefully the Lady Bears will repeat this year, but we are in a very tough district. Christian Gibson & Paige McFarlin have not made up their minds yet. By the way, how did the scrimmage with Shelbyville go last night?
  14. I am so happy for Monica, I have followed her since last year. I had the pleasure of watching her play this summer during AAU season. You have accomplished so much, keep up the hard work & you will go far.
  15. I just wanted to mention a couple of girls Mj & Beyond left off his list. MJ has probably one of the best groups returning as seniors. You mentioned Bowman & Sharpe, but what about Gibson & Pigue. Pigue has already committed to UALR & Gibson has several Div I A-Sun teams looking at her including Mercer & Univ of North Florida. This group of girls won the state back to back in Middle schools, then went to the state as Freshman, barely missed it as sophmores, won as Juniors, & hopefully they will return their Senior year. There are also two other girls coming up that should contribute Taylor Hall & Chelsea Burroughs Good Luck to all the girls & lets make another run to the state
